Mike was one of four companies I'd called to give me a quote. Oddly, he was the lowest and I still chose him (as opposed to settling someplace in the middle). Not because of price, but because of his demeaner, how he explained to me what the process would be, etc. I didn't feel like I was being "pitched". I'd already pulled up the carpeting when he'd arrived. There were what he thought some pretty substantial pet stain. He was very hesitant to guarantee a good result because of the extreme ware. As I was only renting my home at the time, I wasn't in a position to replace the flooring. So Mike made the offer of doing the work... and not accepting any money from me until I saw the outcome. He said if I was pleased then I'd pay him, but if I didn't care of the outcome, we'd come up with another plan. I was "floored" at his offer. But let me say, the floors came out BEAUTIFULLY!! The two areas with the pet damge still showed, but was completely non-bothersome to me, and I consider myself to be fairly particular. I was more than happy to pay Mike his fees, which as I'd mentioned was the lowest bid I'd received. I've since gone on to recommend Mike to at least 15 people, who have all gone with him and all been very pleased with his work, his workmanship and the overall demeanor. I own now own that duplex and about to have Mike come in and re-do (or replace) my floors as well as refinish the floors in my Tenants unit.
