Jacques Levy and a helper performed 2 ceiling repairs in our 1902 Victorian cottage. The living room ceiling required the larger repair; part of the ceiling had buckled where water gathered from a leak in the roof. A prior owner had patched part the same area, which was obvious when we bought the house. The smaller repair was in a guest bedroom, where a misplaced hand while crawling in the attic punched a hole in the ceiling. Levy and his helper did a very neat job making both repairs. Our attic has loose-fill cellulose insulation. Before removing the old ceiling material, they sealed off each work area with clear plastic sheeting to confine the debris and dust to the work area and they covered nearby furniture and carpet. They replaced the old ceiling material with drywall. Their drywall patches fit just right and they were careful in their taping and compounding. After the repair, I believe they came back 2 times to apply more compounding and to perfect it. They also textured the compound material to match the heavy texturing of the existing ceiling. This left no trace of the patch, unlike the prior owner's patch in the living room. Each time they came to the house, they cleaned up after themselves completely. I thought the price was very fair. The carpentry work in repairing the exterior walls was thoroughly professional. This was a small percentage of the job. I would not hesitate to use this contractor again or to recommend them to a friend.

He was referred by a friend of a friend so I had no idea what to expect. He was very nice, professional, and did a great job quickly. He does big jobs as well. I highly recommend him.

He is a careful worker. He is neat and does a good job of cleaning up after himself. He is very pleasant and responsive.
