DUNCAN'S APPLIANCE SALES & SVC

I phone the provider to schedule a repair to my refrigerator. The owner returned the call the next morning and after scheduling, hung immediately after setting the appointment time, while I was in the middle of asking him for an estimate. I called back, asked for the estimate and was told that he charges $95 to walk through the door, and $95 every HALF HOUR after that. When I expressed surprise at this high fee (double a standard plumber, which is $95 per hour), he immediately responded, well you can find someone else then. I said no, come at the appointed time. SO I took friday afternoon off, waited for a technician who never arrived. I'd like Duncan's appliance to pay ME the half day's pay I lost to wait for his technician. The owner is rude, doesn't listen to the person who is the client, and abrupt. As I called I remembered that when I used to rent in Carmel, he came out to repair the dishwasher, spent two hours and had no idea what was wrong at the end of it. Don't use this provider.

I needed to replace my washing machine and Duncan's was recommended to me, so I called, they had two used washers that fit my needs, I picked the one I wanted and they delivered it exactly when they said they would. They have a reasonable delivery fee and a warranty. The technician who came was friendly, stayed to make sure the machine was working properly and cleaned up after himself. He even had to move a few rocks in my landscaping in order to get the machines switched out as I have a very narrow pathway, but he replaced everything just as it was. He was here, switched out the machines and was gone within 45 minutes. I will definitely call upon them the next time I need to replace a major appliance.
