In one word, Excellent! Pier is extremely knowledgable about all aspects of home remodeling, he is also very quality concious and meticulous to details. First Pier enlisted the assistance of an engineering consultant company to ensure that the support redesign would be sturdy enough and safe. Then we discussed various options and costs depending upon the type of wood used for the main support header beam. We then decided on the most cost effective yet still structurally sound solution. All in all we can not think of any way this experience could have been better and we are extremely happy with the results. Actually after the completion of our pool installation, we plan on hiring Pier to work on yet another project.

A week after Pier gave me a free onsite quote, he and his helper showed up on time to perform the work at my condo. Pier was very personable and more than willing to explain what he's doing. The attention he gave to detail was superb--I had just put in some new windows and was worried that the threshold where the light paint met the dark window frame would look a little jagged, but my fears were unfounded. All the work was done within the amount of time originally estimated--about 3.5 hours.

We had a few delays due to Pier's wife's health problems, but overall he let us know he would not be able to make it and would re-schedule. He did come and do the job when he promised he would. He worked fast and got the job done properly and did not leave a mess. Now we have a working stove top again and light to see to cook.

I think he is excellent. He is very sharp and a perfectionist. He cares about his customers and he is very attentive. I would say his price is fair but I haven?t bothered to compare his prices with anyone since I met him.

Pier is great ! He is on every job doing the work himself to make sure that it gets done right the first time. He is very attentive to the details. Pier seems like he makes repair jobs as if he was working on his own place...no short cuts are taken. You could hire someone that is cheaper, but with Pier, you are getting honest, high quality work, with no BS. Remember, you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend Pier for anyone looking for repair work on their homes. If needed, I will definitely use Pier in the future for any home repair work. Pier is easy to talk to and he takes the time to explain everything in detail of the work's process.

Pier rebuilt two back doors for us, moving our pet doors down about six or seven inches so that it was about four inches from the bottom. He had to replace the center door panel and reinstall the pet door for each back door. The doors look like new, saving us the cost of buying and installing new doors that wouldn't match the era of our home. He also installed a new threshold and weather stripping for our front door. He replaced our old threshold with a new adjustable one and installed weather stripping on our door. The door closes solidly now and we don't have the substantial draft that used to come in from under the door.

Pier's easy to work with and a character. If you can get past the 1980's haircut you'll probably work with him again.

Pier is someone to hire if you want someone who knows what he's doing and gets it right the first time. He is very organized and got all of the above done in one day and one short morning visit. Not really a conventional handyman but a real professional carpenter and all round knowledgeable in electric and plumbing. On time at initial visit and on job. Provides a detailed estimate. Prices are commensurate with ability and excellent results. I have already Pier again for a new project.

He is excellent. He is punctual. He is open to doing any job, large or small. He is very meticulous with his work and is a great guy.

We had a serious leak in our 2nd story tub, creating a swell in our ceiling on the 1st floor. Two different plumbers and another handyman told us the only solution was to remove the tub completely, costing several thousand dollars. Only Pier was willing to even entertain the possibility of finding a more creative solution. Pier came up with a great solution involving a high-tech construction foam to shore up the tub from underneath. It absolutely did the trick, at a fraction of what we would have paid otherwise. He's a really nice guy and extremely professional. Pier got all the work done within a few hours and left the place spotless and patched up to the point where you'd never have known he had been there. Pier is the only contractor I remember working with who was thoroughly positive in his approach-- instead of telling us what can't be done, he was all about thinking outside the box and was very honest and open about things throughout the process. We were 100% satisfied with the work and would absolutely call Pier again if we needed some work done.

Pier arrived on time at 9AM on a Saturday and worked ALL DAY on the play-set assembly. He was diligent and organized and extremely thorough. He knew exactly what he was doing -- measured out the area in the yard to determine the best placement prior to starting, paid attention to every detail associated with the assembly, and once he started he worked straight through until early evening. He even accommodated my second-guessing of the placement :) . The play set is solid and safe - thanks to him - and has enjoyed hours of outdoor fun. I am so grateful to Angie's List for enabling me to find Pier. His expert assistance was well worth the price.

I cannot say enough about the excellent quality of the work done by Pier and the men who came to work with him. They were very courteous and helpful, professional and honest. My ceilings look amazing! The crown molding looks perfect in every room. The painting in all areas is a top notch job. Pier gave me a quote with completion in about 5 days and he completed the work in that time frame. Pier does excellent finishing carpentry work. His painter, Obed Sandoval, and his helpers did wonderful work painting and skimming the walls and ceilings. All the men who worked here are excellent at what they do and I will most definitely have them back to do more work on my home. I am so happy and excited to have such beautiful results!! I would recommend these professionals to anyone who will listen!

excellent. The tear-down and re-install took one full day, and Pier cleaned up the entire area so that we had a wonderfully functioning and beautiful shower.

As expected, Pier did an excellent job of repairing the doors & windows. This time he brought a helper so the job took one full day rather than my expected 1+ days.

The overall installation and repair of my fence went remarkably well. They came when they were supposed to and worked very hard in the heat. Pier is a really nice guy and a perfectionist when it comes to his work. My fences turned out really beautiful, even better than I had expected. He and his helper cleaned up after themselves both days they worked here. The fences are so sturdy that they now feel like a block wall. I am sure they will last for many years. In my opinion the price was very reasonable as I paid almost the same price for a chain link fence in my backyard that is not attractive at all and has even become bent in some places. I am really glad that he used treated wood as the old fence was made with untreated wood and did not last a long time. I am very happy with my new fences and will definitely use Pier again in the future.

Pier is very agreeable and easy to work with. He listens to what you want done and does what is needed to make your desires work. The windows we picked for the bathrooms were smaller than the existing ones, but the repair to the outside stucco is undetectable. The wooden fence repair was quite a challenge (tall, fully covered in 20 year old ivy), but he had the correct tool (a manual winch) to make it possible. Installing the catdoor required crawling on the ground and behind a table in our icky, dusty garage, but the never lost his good humor. I plan on having him return to do all my home repairs. He's definitely the right man for the job.

The handyman who came out was a nice guy. I might use their services in the future.

The job went well from start to finish. When I interviewed him for the job and got an estimate, he "talked" a good job, knowing what needed fixing and how to fix it. From previous experience with such repairs, I figured it would be a 2 day job so when he did quote 2 days or work, I was pleased that he was being realistic in his estimate. He lived up t his word and did an excellent job, imho. I will be asking him back to inspect and repair the rest of our custom wood windows and doors. For instance, I had some repairs done on one of the French doors a cfew years ago. While the job was acceptable, that person did not have the ability to recreate the custom moulding in the inserts and used quarter-round moulding instead. Now that I have found someone who can recreate the original, I want that quarter-round stuff replaced. Thumbs-up all the way around on P's Handyman Service.

Pier did a terrific job. The trim capentry both on the counter tops and especially around the new door is top notch. He and his helper were thorough and cleaned up nicely. He responded to my request on Angie's List promptly and communicated well throughout the process, something I've had problems with in the past with other contractors. All work was done promptly and expertly and with attention to detail that is rare. Pier is a real find and I would recommend him highly.....He also fixed my garbage disposal free of charge while giving me his estimate for the work I needed done! Most would have told me I needed a new one and charged me accordingly....

Extremely satisfied with the quality and expertise of his workmanship. Pier uses quality products and pays attention to the smallest of detail as if he will use the repaired area himself. He ran into about five serious previous construction problems that he identified and than set to giving us options to resolve them. He never threw up his hands to suggest "I do not know how to fix it" each time. Instead, he would take a personal challenge to resolve the issue with good humor. He cleans up throughout the day and really does a good cleaning before leaving. I work from home so I was there the entire time. My wife works and did not see Pier on a daily basis. He knew her bathroom was important to her so he called back most evenings to see how she liked the progress. He demonstrated a high skill level in a variety of trades, from electrical and plumbing to woodworking and tiling. We have already referred to two prospective clients. We look forward to working with him again as our house is 68 years old and requires alot of TLC.

We called Pier and he came out and gave us an estimate. We reviewed it and set up a start date for the work. He came when he said he would and stayed late to finish up on time. He got everything done in 3 days. He didn't start very early but I think that is because he takes care of the rest of his business in the mornings.

I was having some family-related issues that needed my attention at the time. Even though I couldn't be here while the work was being done, he completed the work in a timely fashion and he did it well. He was very nice about accepting that I had things that I needed to do and he never pressured me about anything. He performed his job responsibly. The price was reasonable and the outcome was great.

Pier was right on time, and did the work to our total satisfaction. He called after the job was completed since we had to leave before he finished in order to ensure that the work was to our liking. I can't say enough good things about the quality of his work and his professionalism. I will use him whenever I have any handyman projects at my home.

Pier returned my initial call immediately and started work the following week so I could surprise my husband when he returned home from a trip. Not only is Pier's work flawless, but he is a pleasure to work with.

Because of a series of recent storms two bedroom windows had inside leaks. I called Pier and described the problem to him. and asked him to let me know when he could come to look over the windows. He stated that he would be in the area and would come by the next day around noon time. The next day Pier called to let me know that he would be stopping by within the next 90 minutes. About an hour later he was knocking on the front door. Pier checked out the inside and stated that the windows looked fine and determined that there had to be a problem on the outside. Upon checking around the windows outside he discovered that the windows were not completely caulked. The house had recently been painted and Pier said that the painter should have noticed the lack of caulk all around the windows, especially at the top of the woodwork when painting and caulked them. Pier caulked the entire perimeter of all four windows and explained that this would take care of the problems with the two leaky windows (and avoid possible leaks with the other two). He also mentioned that the woodwork was still in very good condition but eventually the woodwork framing the outside of the windows would need to be stripped, refinished and painted, which would ensure a much longer life of the woodwork and the windows. Pier was on time, very professional and knew what needed to be done to resolve the leak problem. Once he got started it didn't take him very long to get all the windows caulked. He knows his stuff and has some great ideas. Very likable and personable. I'll be using his services again!
