Pier and George did quite a bit of work around the house. They were thorough and made sure I understood the work they did and showed me the improvements.

Pierre was awesome! We hired him to fix a botched job from another contractor, which included fixing our custom doors and gate. He was professional, prompt, and very detail oriented. I plan on calling him back for another job soon!

Work was skillful and professional. Pier pays attention to the details. The work was timely and they cleaned up so the house was usable at the end of each day's work. Now my kitchen looks great!

Piers acted as both a direct worker and also a contractor/organizer. He did grout work, some small finsh details, we had our property line fence reinforced, 50 feet of wire put on the top of the fence for our new landscaping, and had new light fixtures installed and some minor electrical work. All was done perfectly, quickly and pleasantly. Will use him again.

Pier and his guys were super friendly and very polite. Referred Pier to one of my friends in the area and he performed a small bathroom tile job on a moment's notice for her.

Pier was very thorough and professionals with the items I needed tending. He kept the price reasonable, offered ideas. Had a helper, Greg, who was also very respectful and professional. They cleaned up after they left.

First off Handyman is a misnomer. Pier is basically Huntington Beach's version of Bob Villa, both in his skill and his demeanor. After having managed contractors for remodels (residential and commercial) on millions of dollars of assets I can strongly recommend Pier as one of the finest contractors in the business. Our current project was a roughly $200,000 house remodel on a million dollar home that required coordination among a variety of interior and exterior contractors over approximately 6 months. Pier was hired primarily for his expertise as a carpenter an area where he truly shines as one of the best. In particular, Pier delivered a beautiful staircase and wainscoting exactly to our specifications as well as matching built in seating and beadboard in adjoining rooms. The entire flow of the house works perfectly as all the areas are designed and built correctly in the same style and finish. On the exterior, Pier was able to install our choice of siding (Hardie Artisan and Hardie Artisan Trim) exactly to manufacturer specifications. He also built a beautiful front balconly with recessed panel newel posts. On all of these areas we get frequent compliments and have been asked several times (including by other contractors and designers) for referrals to Pier. I have seen negative ratings issued to Pier based on price. In my experience, Pier's price was very competitive with other tradesman that we evaluated and in all honestly, I think we got a bargain. I did however receive lower quotes on some portions of the job from less skilled contractors, contractor's without licenses, or contractors who did not intend to do the work themselves but subcontract out to other people. Its important when evaluating each bid to make sure bids are comparable for the services being offered both on the list of services but on the quality of construction. There were many areas that came up during the project (as always do) that required good judgement and experience to resolve correctly. I have hired many other contractors who would have avoided handling those problems, charged extra or failed to disclose them. In the long run (i.e. on a house you plan to live in) you always end up paying for those oversights. In summary, if I was flying off into space in my house and I had to have just one contractor, I'd take Pier, both for his skill and his good company. - Price above included some materials supplied by contractor. Some work managed by additional tradesman at Pier's direction.

Pier was great, he was very responsive and very knowledgeable and showed up on time. I emailed him upon first contact, and he replied to me first thing the next morning. I met with Pier regarding a replacement front door and we discussed our different options, he followed up with an email discussing what he and I spoke about. Pier went on vacation, and by the time he came back my wife and I decided that the front door was not as much as a priority as we first anticipated. We still have his info and will definitely be contacting him when we are ready to proceed.

I first contacted P' Handyman after reading the glowing reports on Angie's list and because of close proximity. I have many repairs needed and emailed a list of priorities. After four or five days I telephoned him. He was at work and told me that he was having trouble with the new Yahoo mail site. I told him that my telephone number was listed on the email and to call me. No response. I realize he must be very busy this time of year, but I requested in my email and on the phone that he let me know if he could not work for me.

I have used Pier for at least 5 projects in the past, from installing an oven to replacing all my windows in my home, and he has always provided top-quality work. He is not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for- responsiveness, punctuality, and quality. While having my house repainted, the painter noticed that the main support column and beam for the section of roof over my front entrance was eaten away by termites and dry rot. I called Pier and he came four days later to replace both the support column and the horizontal beam connected to it. He used pressure-treated wood, which he assured me would prevent this from happening for the rest of the time I am in my house. It was a huge project; he had to support the roof with temporary scaffolding while the old column was removed and replaced with the new one. Even with that, he completed it in one day with his assistant Greg. They were literally using headlamps after it got dark to get the job done on time. There were some concerns with my painter being willing to paint the new support beam, and when I called Pier to discuss, he was great to give me feedback that enabled me to get the column and beam painted properly. He even called me back twice to reconfirm that all was well. I can't say enough good things about Pier, he is like a member of our family.

Our project went very well. I always felt that "Pier" knew exactly what we wanted and that we were always on the same wave-length. He explained the reason for everything as he went along. He is truly an excellent craftsman and I would use him again without hesitation.

I left 2 messages in July, they never responded. When I did get a hold of someone at the beginning of August, they were very rude. Answering "HELLO!", and when I asked if they are servicing my area, he responded, "NO, and I'm not excepting any more work!" and hung up the phone.

Pier came quickly, located the leak and had the job done in a day and half and did a wonderful job. Pier is so experienced he knows exactly what to do and accomplishes the job with little inconvenience to the homeowner. Pier has done several jobs for us and all has been expertly performed. This is the second time that Pier has done work for me. I know I can count on him to do a fantastic job. He knows what he's doing and explains it to me in detail. He not only does an impeccable job and exhibits craftsmanship in everything,he has an eye for the aesthetics of the work and makes sure all of your new work blends with the old. In a pinch you can count on him. We were leaving for a week's trip and, sad to say, had no idea where the various keys to our house were. Pier made a special trip to install the front door and change the locks on the remaining doors so we could lock our house and know that it was safe while we were gone. The added benefit is the one key that lets us in any door. I've already hired him to do more work for me next week.

This is an endorsement of P’s Handyman During exterior painting of the external wood on my house it was revealed that the lowest part of a double casement window, I’ll call it the sill, was badly eaten by termites as was the lower horizontal part of the window frame itself. It was found necessary to completely replace the window. I obtained the window and then because I had good results from the company in the past I called in P’s Handyman to install it. P, in he person of Pier Angeli, and his assistant did a beautiful job. In the process of removing the old window it was revealed that the termite infestation extended into a horizontal member of the house frame that supported the window. P’s Handyman didn't miss a beat but immediately removed and replaced the infested member and installed and painted the window. As I recall P’s Handyman came about 8:00 in the morning and were done by 3:00 in the afternoon. P’s Handyman does good work.

We called Piers about a long list of repairs we needed for a new house. He wrote back the same day to say that he would not be able to finish the work within our time frame. We appreciated the prompt reply and the consideration in not committing to work he would not be able to finish on time.

I called to schedule an estimate, and have yet to receive any response after a week.

Pier came to the house to look over the job at the time we'd agreed on, and was friendly and professional. During our discussion he asked a number of good questions and made suggestions when we weren't sure of what we wanted. He gave us an estimate that included both labor and materials, saying he never broke them out separately. Once we decided to use him he was able to schedule us in a reasonable time. He had to delay the job because of family illness, but always called and notified us. He thought the job would take 2 days, though it ended up taking most of a week since some days he worked part of the day at another job. He worked until about 8:00 pm the last night so he could finish the project. Some of the paint needed an additional coat once we saw it in the daylight, and he quickly arranged to have his helper come out to do that. He found a lot more termite damage than we anticipated, so he replaced more of the under structure than originally planned and sprayed the affected areas. The original estimate was for $4500, and the extra amount was for additional wood, termite spray, and paint.The work he did was very good quality and looks finished and professional. He added nice touches to the edging and hand rails. He made sure all the fittings were secure and to code.

Pier and Greg found some other problems with plumbing while doing this job that were completely unrelated to the closet/bathroom and quickly found the source of those problems and corrected them. I am grateful to Pier for his diligent efforts and fine work and would use him for future projects. I found that all work that he and his workers did was absolutely top-notch and of the highest caliber.

Everything was top notch. never any messes left, always cheerful workers and they all went the extra mile getting shipments, being careful of my doggies, and getting things done when we were not even there! Really liked all these guys and expecially Pier! Go Blue! (member initials removed)

We have used Pier before and are always delighted. He removed the existing doors and set in the new ones. It was challenging because the walls and thresholds are crooked.

The work Pier has done for me in the past has been of superior quality. He pays attention to detail, unlike all previous handymen I have worked with in the past. I look forward to crossing off more items on my "To Do" list with his help. Because Pier does outstanding work, he is very busy so you have to wait to schedule him.

After waiting two weeks to return my call, he missed three appointments with me to look at the work It took a long time to contact him and get a response, several weeks, then he did not come to see the work we wanted done on three separate occasions. He finally got here based on my persistence. Pier was very nice, and polite. He eyeballed the job, and then sent me the bid which was double what another company bid on it. If I had the money I would hire him, but too expensive.
