My ceiling was an ugly mess. I needed it repaired for an appraisal for a re-fi. He came Thursday morning and did the patching. He retuned the Friday morning and sanded and painted. I left him in the house to go to a meeting because clearly he is a person you can trust. When I returned later that day you could not tell where the patch was. He matched the paint perfectly. He followed up Saturday with a phone call to be sure i was satisfied. Pier is a pro. I will be hiring him for other projects.

The porch cover came first as it completely altered the front roof profile. The existing cement porch required a 50% replacement and it matches the other half perfectly. The woodworking on the porch cover was masterful. It required a long span (22') between the two posts. It was accomplished in a highly craftsman-like and very artistic manner. The painting was absolutely perfect, the tie into the remaining 32" overhang is beautiful. The entire porch project was a work of art. They also installed a whole-house fan inside the porch attic space. The roof came next. Once the roof was exposed, a significant amount of termite damage was discovered in one part of the house. The remediation of that damage was done well and a new ventilation / insulation system was installed between joists to eliminate moisture due to condensation. What can I say, this was our third use of P's Handyman Service. Pier and his team worked very hard and left the work site and surrounding area clean every night. Pier did what he said and in a very professional and workman-like manner. He and his team are skilled and great to have in your home.

Pier is the absolute best. He came to follow up on work he performed at my house a year ago. This man stands by his word and work, and is also very friendly and fun to have around the house! I had a chip on the wood countertop in my bathroom, he had refinished the countertop a year ago. He came back to look at the countertop and completely refinished it again at no cost to me. Amazing customer service. I wish all business were like Pier.

Pier is very detail oriented. You can be sure that anything he does is the best work possible. Our daughter bought a home where a number of jobs had been done by another handyman, and done poorly. Pier fixed all the bad work and then went through the place correcting little odds and ends with no charge. We have used Pier many times and he is the only person I will ever hire to do small or large jobs because I know that it will be done right. Beautifully! Pier was an excellent contractor. All members of the team were very professional and did a wonderful job. Pier built us a beautiful wood staircase that is the focal point of the house. Pier treated our house as if it was his own and paid attention to small details, which make a house a home. I would highly recommend Pier for any job big or small.

I was so pleased with the results from my recent Guest Bathroom Remodel that I asked Pier to also remodel my Master Bathroom and Dressing/Walk-In Closet Area. Pier delivered the same superb quality construction and craftsmanship with beautiful finishing details and a truly functional and amazing space. My existing bathtub was reused for this project and was integrated seamlessly with the new tile work and upgraded fixtures. Well done, thanks to Pier and Greg!

Pier is a true craftsman. ? He truly cares about the work he does and pays attention to every detail. ?Pier and his assistant Greg do most of the work themselves (plumbing, electrical, tile, etc.). ?This is important because it means it will be done right. ? ?He also has a great eye for design and happily offered suggestions to improve the bathroom's design without hurting the bottom line.

I consulted 4 contractors and selected Pier. He gave the most itemized quote of all. He complied with my time frame. Once begun, work was done each day until done. After my special mirror arrived, he completed the work. He was through, did not cut corners Quality workmanship. Knows his craft, vendors and realistic time frame.

Pier did an amazing job throughout this contract from start to finish. He is punctual, professional and an expert craftsman as my guest bathroom was transformed into a truly beautiful and functional space.Always ready to offer recommendations for the best options and methods of construction, he and his assistant Greg worked tirelessly and efficiently to produce a high quality product. Pier also was masterful at coordinating ordering materials and scheduling installation so that the project flowed seamlessly. I would most definitely look to him for future projects.

My wife and I hired Pier to remodel the master bath and do a little work in the smaller bathroom up stairs. In short , he and his assistant, Greg did a wonderful job and the results could be in any home or architectural magazine. Their hard work and skill produced a beautiful result. Anytime a contractor breaks into walls there are always unwanted surprises and Pier dealt with them well by fitting the necessary changes into our original plan. The changes took him a few more days and that's the way remodeling goes. Through out the job he offered suggestions and options and their prices. When we had not found the light sconces for each side of the bathroom mirror, he called one of his recent customers to get us the manufacturer's name of a wall sconce he just installed for them. It was perfect for us.

Pier is an excellent contractor. This is the second time he has worked on our house on various projects. We are very pleased with our new updated bathroom. We went from a dark cave to a beautiful spa/cottage style bathroom. All the work was done within the time frame we discussed and pretty much on budget with a few additions discovered along the way. He was always upfront on any issues that came along and gave me options. We are very pleased with the custom cabinetry that he had built and installed to fit the space.

Wow, When he answered and I told him I was contacting him through Angie's list. He hesitated and then said that he had no time to do anything till after the new year. When I said that was fine. He said"send me an email". I asked if he wanted me to describe what I wanted in the email. He said yes. Then said, what do you want. I told him I needed small jobs done in our motorhome like modifying cabinet doors and making a pull down door on one of them. He said No, he doesn't work in motorhomes. That was confusing to me because the cabinets that are here are just like cabinets in homes. When I told him it was no problem that all the cabinets in the motor home are exactly like the cabinets in a house, he started going on and on about how he wouldn't do that kind of work and no one he knows would because no one he knows would work in a motor home. I tried to explain to him that all the cabinets were already in and it was just some tweeks to the doors ect that was needed. He again said he wouldn't do that cause it was in a motorhome. I was surprised he would turn down the work when it was just minor adjustments to cabinet doors that were already installed.. So I said "That's surprising". (meaning surprising that he would turn down minor work just because it was in a motorhome. When I said that it was surprising, he got very angry and said that neither he nor any other carpenters he knows would work in a motorhome and have never done that and that I had a lot of nerve saying that it was surprising that he had never worked in a motorhome and that I also had no business saying that etc. etc. (that went on for quite a while, as he was clearly p***** off). I tried to interrupt his long tirade to explain to him that I meant it was surprising that he didn't WANT the work just because he had never worked in a motorhome before but he just shouted even louder so that I couldn't get a word in edgewise. When I finally spoke and tried to explain to him what I had meant, he angrily said that wasn't what I said. When I said it was, he said it wasn't that he had other people listening to the conversation who knew he was right. When I tried to tell him what I was trying to communicate, he accused me of twisting the conversation and putting words in his mouth! Yikes! It was all Very, Very strange... I think it was clear that this person is overwhelmed and too busy to take on other jobs, and that his tolerance for being overwhelmed is small. Based on this phone interaction and on his reviews, I would guess that he is probably a skilled carpenter that if everything goes according to plan, he is fine. However, I think that if anything went wrong on a job, watch out. You don't want to disagree with this guy in any way, shape or form... And God forbid you say anything he misconstrues as negative about him!I He will definitely go on the attack!

I was reminded by my much better half that I had not written this review. The project was not straight-forward and it was handles expertly and with vigor. P's Handyman Service did what they said they would do and when they said they would do it. His assistants were excellent, Pier was on the job all the time and his painting contractor was superb. Can say enough about his work. I will have him back for more projects. Please see my review of another project well dated 6/13/15.

The project took a little longer than expected but everything turned out great. The old bathroom was removed down to the studs.New plumbing,electric,flooring,walls were installed. Tile on the walls and floors looks beautiful. Diamond finished glass shower doors, ceiling fan with night light and heater, floating shower bench etc all great ! They had to do extra work to level the floor for tile installation and it is now solid and level. I would highly recommend P'S handyman services!

Angie list is a paid subscription - vendors should realize this and be responsive

Pier is very meticulous. His workmanship is of the highest quality. He completed the task in a quick and timely manner and it was flawless. I am planning on having him do numerous jobs in the future.

Pier and his helper Greg did an excellent remodel of my bathroom. They removed an old claw-foot tub, toilet, vanity and ceiling light and put in a tub-shower, new toilet, and vanity. Installed LED can light over vanity and light/vent fan unit in ceiling. Ripped out old tile and installed new tile (also leveling the floor before doing so). Also installed a small window above the shower wall. Well, someone on Angie's said that Pier was our Bob Villa here in OC and I think that is the perfect description. Pier can do anything in your home that needs doing and he must have the result perfect when he is finished. The bathroom wall was not straight for the shower install, so he straightened it. My floor was not level for the tile install, so he leveled it. While connecting the electrical for the lights and fan he said "someone has really messed this up. I don't like it and I'm going to redo this for you." He proceeded to correct all the wiring in the wall. The re-stucco of my outside wall after the window installation was absolutely beautiful. You cannot see that any change was made at all. So, when you want it done right - call Pier. If you are like me, this is what you want. If something is wrong, he doesn't just "make it work", he fixes it. Bottom line I am very very happy with my remodel. I will be calling on Pier again when work needs to be done at my house.

P's Handyman Services - Pier Angeli did an outstanding job. Great attention to my needs and detail. I had an initial scope of work and as we got into the project, Pier provided recommendations that made sense and were very cost effective. My goal was to give an 18 year old home a much needed facelift with new kitchen appliances, adding title flooring where old carpet used to be, install some new light fixtures and painting the interior. We had 18 year old recessed lighting, Pier recommended upgrading to new LED recessed lights which made a huge cost effective difference. He custom built oak entertainment units to fit around a big screen TV. Great job! By the time we were done, the house looked highly upgraded and brand new. I will recommend P's Handyman Services to all. I have a new project coming up and will be calling him soon for an estimate.

Pier informed me that he wouldn't be able to make it to my house to give me a quote until the 26th, two and a half weeks later. That seems like a very long lead time for just a quote. Most contractors make it out within a few days. On the 21st, Pier emailed me (not even a phone call!) noting that he had a family issue and would not be out to quote me. He offered no alternative time and never contacted me again. Clearly, this gentleman didn't want the business and he should have just said so. I trusted the multiple "A" reviews from Angie's List and didn't seek alternate quotes because Pier was "the best." Ultimately I found an alternative contractor who did a fantastic job. Guess I should have called the other contractor earlier and saved two weeks of unnecessary wait time. I give Pier a "D" instead of a flat out failure because he at least returned my original call promptly and eventually notified me that he wouldn't come out instead of just no-showing.

No work done---provider can't do the job for two months. I will hire someone else, but I appreciate provider's timely response to my inquiry.

The project went great; we were advised expertly and politely as we developed the project. We (and our very long term tenant) could be happier with the process and outcome. There was quite a bit of logistic work with the condo full of furniture and limited parking along the beach in Long Beach. All work was carried out completely to our satisfaction, pleasantly and with no disruption to the neighbors. Pier and his crew operated in the most professional and expert manner that you can imagine. After this project, we hired Pier to install new ceramic plank floors in our residence (another Angie's List review to come). I will bring Pier back on more jobs in the future without hesitation. He is a professional and an artist in what he does.

The front door looks great. Pier and his assistant totally re-habbed the door, hinges and frame, including fresh paint. This included a new door sill and some stucco repair below the sill. Big difference! He also stripped the porch concrete, which seemed to be the most time intensive part of the project. There were multiple layers of old paint or stain, a real headache. Overall, a big improvement, much better looking porch surface, almost as bright as new concrete. We are very happy and would not hesitate to call Pier for future projects.
