Description of Work: I called Pier to give us an estimate for some work in a bathroom and some crown moulding. His appointment time was at 5:30 p.m. yesterday at my home. He didn't make the appointment and never called us to cancelled. I give him an "F" for being so inconsiderate.

Description of Work: We hired Pier about a year and a half ago when we had him replace a sliding glass door with a french door. It was not an easy job because of the size of the opening but it turned out great. Next he remodeled a walk-in closet and installed a hardwood floor in that closet. He returned to remodel the kitchen in which he tiled the floor, built a cabinet for trash collection, changed the plugs so that they were up to code, supervised the installation of granite counter tops, and did a lot of plumbing revision. Keep in mind that our house was built in 1928 so this was just the beginning of the plumbing changes. He next replaced our leaking water heater and January 2013 completely ripped out our very old bathroom. He moved the toilet to a better location, removed the window which was too large for the bathroom and replaced it with a small slider, replaced the tub, moved the vanity, retiled the floor, and the interior of the tub/shower area, replaced the fan, installed new faucets, sink, built a cabinet for storage and changed all of the old clogged pipes for the entire house. Water now flows very well. He has very good ideas about how things should be placed and now the bathroom seems so much larger because of his revisions. We love the bathroom and later this year we want him to redo the upstairs bathroom, and after that, the garage. We feel very fortunate to have found Pier. There are very few people doing quality work and the best example of this was while having to replace the floor in the bathroom, Pier discovered that the company that had installed a new furnace for us a few years ago, had left most of the old ducts that they had replaced. They had also failed to tell us that the registers to two of the rooms had rusted away and were not even connected to the new ducts. In conclusion, if you want quality work, don't hire anyone else. He has already worked for 3 of my co-workers and they are as pleased as we are. JZ

Description of Work: He installed a washer and dryer in an existing closet which required redirection of plumbing, patching drywall, painting wall, etc. he did an excellent job. It was certainly a lot more work than I imagined. A few weeks later we were heading out for vacation and noticed water in the pan. Called him from the airport and he went to our house and fixed the problem that day.

Description of Work: I have written before about Pier who has done many projects for us over the last year. In March, he and Greg, his helper, installed a new water heater and last week they installed a tile floor in our kitchen. Previously, they installed a french door, trash cabinet, redid plumbing under the house, installed a new kitchen sink and garbage disposal, were involved in the installation of the counter tops, did some electrical work, and probably numerous other things that I can't remember. The tile floor is incredible. The tile is 31 inches long, looks like wood, and was laid in a wood floor pattern. Pier also made the baseboards of tile too. The most important thing about his work is that there is no detail left undone. He ever cut little pieces of tile to fit at the sides of the cabinet in front of the dish washer. The corners of the baseboard tiles are perfectly mitered. On the last day, they also retouched the paint in areas other than where they had been working. The entire job took about 4 days. They are really efficient.His next project for us will be the downstairs bathroom - probably in the fall.I can't say enough good things about him. He is not just a handyman, but an expert contractor. Description of Work: I called P's Handyman last week and set up a meeting time to get an in-person estimate. The meeting was for today (3/12) at noon. I took an hour off of work in Costa Mesa (in addition to my lunch hour) to drive to Long Beach to meet him at my home and he did not show nor did he call. I got home at 11:50 and left to go back to work at 1pm. I wanted an estimate on baseboard installation, chair rail installation, and a small repair to the wall in the bathroom. Maybe the job wasn't big enough. A call would have been appreciated, especially at 4.35 a gallon for gas.

Description of Work: In early Jan we contacted Pier to repair or replace several different items. He replaced a dimmer switch, removed a ceiling fan and installed a ceiling light fixture in it's place. In addition, Pier hung a curtain rod for an unusually long window frame. We find it very efficient using Pier for a diverse set of jobs! His experience allows him to consult with us on the phone before coming out to the house. This allowed us to buy the appropriate curtain rod and light fixture before his arrival and therefore avoid unnecessary delays. With that said, I owe Pier an apology for this late feedback report because I know he values the customer's feedback. Jim K

Description of Work: I have used Pier for many jobs in the past and have always been extremely satisfied. This time, we wanted to install a new dishwasher in our kitchen. Unfortunately, the original person who came to install it insisted that it wouldn't fit under the counter in our kitchen. We even sent the dishwasher back and put in another, smaller one just to get by, but we weren't happy with it. I asked Pier if he could work another miracle and he said of course. He took out the dishwasher, went and picked up the one we wanted originally, and installed it perfectly. He had to make a cutout in the counter but it looked fantastic and so...problem solved! He really is able to work miracles, believe me.

Description of Work: Pier installed and finished two exterior doors, moved electric switches, replaced wiring, installed copper gutters, installed light fixtures, removed a window and restored the wall in it's place. Pier and his team were very conscientious in their work and took the time necessary to do the job right. Work was completed on time and on budget. Pier and his assistant Greg were very neat and always cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. Pier said "by the time we are finished you won't even know we were here"...and it's true; apart from the great work and improvements he made to my home one would never know he was here. Thanks for the great work Pier!

Description of Work: Pier Angeli was very professional, great repair work done in a very timely manner. Did a through check of the residence and was able to find other places that needed work to be done. Started on a Monday and completed work at the end of Thursday. Came prepared for the work to be done and did a great job of clean up at the end of each day.My problem was several window sills with sevear dry rot od older style windows. This was not a problem for Pier to remove and repair. Advised why I had the problem and was ready to fix this as soon as I wanted the work done. Andyes I will hire Pier to do this work.

Description of Work: This person came highly rated, but I never got a response! I called & caught him on a job, so after briefly explaining the floor tiling work I needed, he told me to email him the info. A week and a half later, I've had NO response whatsoever! Very unprofessional!

Description of Work: He responded promptly and was on time for the estimate visit. His estimate for a variety of items seemed very high, and we didn't use him.

Description of Work: I highly recommend Pier Angeli and his crew. We recently hired him to replace the ceiling in our dining room and paint the room, re-hang all our kitchen cabinet doors and repair the lights in our living room. Their work was perfect. The crew worked quickly yet took no shortcuts. They were courteous and professional. They were very careful to contain the dust and such that comes with the work and cleaned up better than I do after their work. Pier was very active monitoring the quality of the work and frequently checked in with us to make sure we were satisfied. I plan to use to them again and have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

Description of Work: Caulked, re-grouted, replaced tile in master shower. Re-caulked bathtub. Reinstalled shower faucet that had been incorrectly installed by another handyman. Replaced leaky sink faucet valve. Re-grouted another shower.

Description of Work: I called this guy and talked to him personally. He was on a job and promised to call me back by the next day. I never heard from him, so can only think he didn't want to do the work I'd described (assembling cabinets and installing them). I didn't appreciate his broken promise or lack of courtesy.

Description of Work: We have used Pier many times in the past for large and small projects and he is always reliable and the quality of his work is excellent. This time we had him replace a kitchen sink faucet. We needed a white one and he ordered it for us and installed it as soon as it came in. Great job!

Description of Work: Did multiple small plumbing and carpentry jobs. Work outstanding and timely. Pricing a bit steep. But we would use him again based on quality of work and responsiveness.

Description of Work: Pier installed a French door in the rear of the kitchen as well as hardwood flooring in a walk-in closet. He is excellant and we plan to have him to do other work in our house. He is a perfectionist in all of the work that he does. Joyce/Debbie

Description of Work: He seemed like a nice guy but he wanted $450.00 to install a dishwasher and microwave. My jaw dropped to the floor! I ended up hiring a friend to do it for $100.00. I heard he does great work if you're willing to spend the big bucks.
