The whole process was a great experience. Brad explained what needed to be done, outlined how he was going to do it, scheduled the when and provided a price 10% lower than the nearest competitor. This was a cement driveway which had experienced movement over the years and had the cracks to prove it. Gill broke up the cement, hauled away the rubble, laid down a base in 3 days. Driveway is approx 1,300 sq.ft. Laid down the stone and fillers and sealed in another 3 days. The result is perfect and greatly improves the curb appeal.

Scott Gill was at our house several times a day making sure we were happy and that things were staying on schedule. He estimated 3 weeks for the job and they finished one day early. He was very accommodating when I wanted changes or wanted things done a certain way. They did a great job. When we are ready to do our front yard I will definitely contact Scott again.

Awesome! They did a great job in custom designing the paver patio. Everyone asks who did the job it looks great. I would recommend this company to everyone and I do.

On time, worked hard and took pride in their work. Cleaned up every day and final product was excellent.

.THE ENTIRE JOB WAS BETTER THAN EXCELLENT....BRAD, THE OWNER, AND HIS TEAM WERE PUNCTUAL, ACCOMODATING AND VERY HARD WORKING PEOPLE. THEY CAME EACH DAY UNTIL THE JOB WAS COMPLETED. EACH DAY BEFORE THEY LEFT THEY CLEANED UP THE AREA...NO MESSES AT ALL. BRAD, CAME EVERY DAY TO CHECK OUT THE PROGRESS. HE IS GREAT TO DEAL WITH AND DID SOME EXTRA WORK AT NO CHARGE. WE WOULD RECOMMEND GILL HARDSCAPE TO ANYONE THINKING OF INSTALLING PAVERS AND ARTIFICIAL TURF.....HE IS SUPERB!!!!! WE ARE SO HAPPY WITH THE JOB HE DID AND SO GLAD WE CHOSE HIM TO DO IT.

Brad and his crew were very professional and did an excellent job. We were very happy with his work. It came out exactly how we envisioned it . We would ask him back if we wanted more work done. In fact we are thinking of having the driveway done with pavers. His price was fair and was cheaper than the 2 other bids we had gotten by a few thousand dollars.

After interviewing and getting bids from several contractors to update my 1965 era fireplace with a stacked stone look, I decided to accept Scott Gill's proposal based on cost, schedule, and design. Scott came out to my house, assessed the job scope and provided me with a bid that was in between the lowest and the highest of the other contractor bids received for my project. He proposed a plan that was sound and had additional design details that set it off from the ordinary stacked stone look. The job was completed within the timeframe promised and looks outstanding. The details included building a new fireplace front out 4 inches from the old front with brick, installing an angle iron lintel that restored my original 3 ft x 2 ft firebox opening and preserved the draft characteristics of this 1965 wood burning FP. They finished it off by applying stacked stone using a dry stack technique over the entire brick front and laying down several large snapped edge hearthstones. The over and above details that Scott paid personal attention to, such as incorporating a high end brass universal flange for the log lighter gas valve and adding the same color grout to match the hearthstones, reaffirmed that Gill Hardscape was the right choice for me. I highly recommend Gill Hardscape for all your hardscape needs!

First, let me apologize to Brad and his company for taking so long to write this review. I started it many times. In Apri/May we researched Angie's list for Hardscaping/Paver contractors to bid a large job. We needed our concrete driveway, three walkways and a set of steps demolitioned and replaced with pavers. We needed pavers installed on a concrete front porch, we had a drainage problem and large tree roots that needed to be removed and a barrier built and installed. Out of the three contractors from whom we received bids, we selected Gil Hardscape Inc. (a family owned business). We could have gone with any one of the three since they were all that good! Pretty hard to find, but thanks to Angie's List, we did! After meeting with Brad Gill (co-owner) at our home, we felt Gill Hardscape gave us the most for our dollar. Brad was personable, knowledgeable, professional and offered suggestions and options without any persuasion. He showed us samples, gave us references in the area, provided a detailed proposal with a nice schematic drawing of the entire project and it was clear to us that Brad, and Gill Hardscape, wanted customer satisfaction. We liked that Gill Hardscape employed skilled and knowledgeable craftsmen to do the job start to finish (no sub-contracting) and used the same crew members throughout the project until completion. Brad assured us too, that either he or his brother (co-owner) would be on the job site each and every day for progress, coordination, accuracy and work flow. We liked that too. We also liked that they promised to have their team at our property every day until the job was done...no hopping over to other jobs and leaving us stranded as some contractors do. We hired him! Brad and his crew arrived on the pre-scheduled date and promptly on time ready to go to work and Brad's crew was incredibly hard working and dedicated craftsmen. They worked hard and steady each day and in the heat of the summer. We kept them hydrated with water, juices and food (our choice, not a requirement.) Brad and his employees were always polite, respectful, professional and accommodating. We received many extras (labor, materials and additional tasks) from Brad and his Foreman, Laz, at no extra charge. For example, they installed a new mailbox that we had purchased because it needed to be bolted into the pavers. They even made trips to Home Depot for which they did not charge us. The job site was always left clean at the end of the day. There was not a problem or obstacle that we presented to Brad and his foreman that they could'nt handle. They were amazing! Our finished product looks absolutely AWESOME! We get regular compliments from friends, neighbors and even our mailman and poolman commented on the quality and appearance of our home and improved curb appeal. We are very pleased with the results and would deal with this company again in a heartbeat! Jim & Marilyn Smith.

The work was done in late September 2013. Everything went well. I gave Gill Hardscape an A rating in my review in November. However, I am now changing my review down to a C overall with an F for responsiveness because I am having a small issue with the pavers. After all these months, every time I wash them down, a bunch of sand comes up. It started out just in one area, but now there are more areas where it comes up. On 5/15/14 I emailed Scott Gill telling him of my problem. I got no response. On 5/25/14 I emailed him again advising that I was still waiting for a response to my first email. I am still waiting. At first I didn't think too much about the sand, and that it would stop happening after a while, but after all this time, I think it is an issue. The 1 year warranty is due to expire in a couple of months and I would hate to think that they are just stalling until it does.

Brad Gill was wonderful to work with. He was professional and knowledgeable and made excellent suggestions, but wasn't overbearing. He answered all of our calls promptly and gave us a thorough estimate. He crew was here everyday on time and made excellent progress on the job. Brad always came by to enure the work was going as planned. When we needed to have a small fence and gate replaced, Brad offered to find someone to do this, but finally offered to purchase and have his crew install it. It turned out to be more challenging to get the gate installed because of an existing cinder block wall, but they worked and got it up and working. After the project was over the gate latch was having problems. We phoned Brad and he came over and corrected the problem. He also did an excellent job coordinating with the contractor who was putting in our landscaping. We love the way the pavers look. I wish all contractors were as exceptional to work with as Gill Hardscape!

In late May/early June I contacted 3 different contractors to give me an estimate on this job. 2 came out, 1 never showed up nor did they call to cancel. I told them all at the beginning that it was a small job. They all said that was okay. The two that did come out to see the job also failed to ever respond with a quote. In mid July I updated Angie's list with a negative review for all three. Scott Gill from Gill Hardscape was the only one to call me right away and profusely apologize for failing to respond. He came out again to take another look to refresh his memory. Scott was very professional and accommodating when he came out the 2nd time so I decided to go ahead and give him the job. He also gave me an extra discount to make up for dropping the ball the first time. The job took 2 days, Scott was here with his crew to get the job started, then left. He kept in touch with his crew and me by phone and would return periodically to check to make sure everything was going good. The two man crew was very professional and polite and respectful. I live in a townhouse which is surrounded by an 8ft high wall, so they had to come through the house. Luckily it is an approximately 25-30ft straight line from the front door to the patio. They moved a few pieces of furniture for me and covered everything with plastic including the carpet and the tile in the entryway. When the job was done they cleaned everything up inside and outside, front and back. It was left spotless. I would definitely recommend Gill Hardscape to family and friends. Now I want to apologize to Scott Gill for taking so long to write this review.

They came out when they said they would, and installed all of the above mentioned items in a timely fashion. The finished product looks absolutely awesome. We recieve regular comments about how nice our home looks. It was a very enjoyable experience. As a side note, they had also done some work in a home we owned in Cypress, and that turned out extremely well, also. Finally, we dealt with Scott Gill, and he was always there to assist with any issues we had.

It went very well, Gill Hardscaping is a family owned business and very professional.

Working with this company was a pleasure from beginning to end. Brad Gill responded to my request very quickly and provided a detailed drawing of the proposed patio as well as an estimate. Work commenced on the exact day and time as scheduled and either Brad or his brother were on site once and sometimes twice a day to ensure work was going as planned. Tthe crew was incredibly hardworking, very polite and answered any questions I had. Altogether one of the best experiences I've ever had with a company. Quite frankly I was astonished at the amount and quality of service that was provided for the price I paid. I plan on calling them again for the installation of a wall in the back of my property.

The owner was here daily during the work making sure we were satisfied with the work being done. They are an excellent run company and I will use them again in the future. I was so impressed with the leadership and all of the workers that came out. We were very impressed with the outcome of the job.

We've used Brad Hardscape twice before and have been very pleased with the quality of his work. This time was no exception. He provided a detailed estimate, arrived on time every day, oversaw all parts of the job, and completed the work on schedule for the quoted price. He provides excellent design, quality and attention to detail. His masonry work is very durable. His price is a little higher than some but you definitely get what you pay for.

Brad Gill totally flaked out on me. I contacted Brad to do some stonework. I told him up front that it was a small job, he said that's fine, and he came out to give me an estimate. He presented himself very professionally, understood exactly what I wanted, and seemed to want the job. After several days of hearing nothing, I called, he apologized, said he'd get a price to me ASAP. Nothing. I left another message, and still no response. As I've said in other reports, I'd never fault a trade for declining a job based on location, or size, or even personality conflicts, but if you're on ANGIE'S LIST actively seeking work, then follow through! It's what separates the professionals from the pretenders.

Great experience from start to finish. Brad Gill came out on time to prepare an estimate and took the time to ask questions and make suggestions (not "upselling", just making good suggestions that made the job come out better). Brad made a second trip out to show me samples of the pavers. I had one color in mind, but Brad brought another along that I liked better. Brad also took the initiative on his own to check with the city on permit requirements. Work proceeded on schedule and the final product exceeded my expectations. They treated the project like it was their own house. Great workmanship and attention to detail, and took care of small, additional corrective items that weren't part of the contracted work, but just made sense to do (at no extra charge). I would definitely use them again. Great quality at a great price. Highest recommendation.

They came within two or three days and they called if they couldn't make it the same day. They came through with a good bid, but the other business we used was a family business. It came down to negotiating the estimate on what we wanted and for what price.

Scott Gill and his brother Brad run the company. My cousin use they a few year back and she love their work and neighbor use them on their driveway and porch before we decide to contact them. Contact on a monday, came out on tuesday and told what we want done and they took measurements of everything. Scott came back on thursday with a drawn plan and price. We signed the same day and his men started the next monday and it took one month to finish. He had men on the job everyday except saturday and sunday and they start at 8:00 a.m. and left the job at 4:00 p.m. the foreman always answer our questions and the workers were very courteous and they always cleanup at the end of the day. Scott show up everyday and made sure everything measure right and form ed right. Scott will answer all your questions and overall my wife and me had a good experience with them. As far as price goes I have nothing to compare them to if they are high or medium price for this type of work.They do excellent work.

4th generation in this business, Lanny has a family reputation to uphold. He personally inspects and does whatever is necessary to make the job excellent. Work was done in a timely manner.
