He showed up on time, kept me well informed regarding delivery date while we awaited the shutters arrival from the factory, and was just really easy to work with. These shutters are absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend his company, absolutely!

+ -1 moreIt went pretty well, but the provider seemed to have things going on in her life that precluded timely responses. Other than that, she was very helpful, and we are very happy with the final results.
Description of Work: Measure all windows. Show us options for what we could cover them with. Provide temporary shades while ours were being made. All blinds were delivered and fit and work perfectly.

+ -1 moreI always do a ton of research before I make a big purchase. I was surprised by how expensive window treatments were, but I also didn't want to get anything cheap that wouldn't last. I did some comparison shopping with other local vendors and found Eric's prices to be the most easonable I was very pleased with the shades he put in last year, so I talked to him this time about blinds for a very large set of windows in the living room. I think the products he recommended are good quality at a reasonable price. I also appreciated Eric's advice in picking products. He was very knowledgeable about his products.
Description of Work: Last fall, I ordered window shades for the bedrooms. A few weeks ago, I also ordered very large top-down bottom-up blinds for the living room.

+ -1 moreThe installation was set 3 days later accommodating my schedule and they were exactly on time, arriving at the appointed hour. Eric and his wife installed the shutters themselves and they were exceptionally professional, took less time than I had expected, left the work areas completely clean and THE WINDOW(S) ARE A THING OF BEAUTY! Will definitely use them again. The price wasn't cheap, yet I had expected to pay more, and the end result was definitely worth the price. Thank you, Eric and Judy!
Description of Work: Purchased plantation shutters for two difficultly-sized windows. Eric came within a day after first contact, measured carefully, solved the problems presented by the windows and placed the order. The delivery date was estimated to be 4 to 6 weeks. The order arrived one day into the fourth week.

Description of Work: My wife and I did a complete remodel of our home in Felton in 2010.This included all new window coverings and for our skylights. Being picky due to having all new interiors and windows we checked out different companies locally. We decided on Budget Blinds in Scotts Valley. The owner, Eric and his wife Judy were dialed in when it comes to the different products that they have and his knowledge and expertise in installing the coverings. Eric spent quite a bit of time at our home taking care that each shade would fir correctly and that we were satisfied with the final product. Everything went very well except for a mechanical glitch with our Hunter Douglas skylight shades that is remotely operated. The fault was with the design and this is where the owner showed his true value. He immediately contacted Hunter Douglas and his corporate company and explained the non functioning blinds. After a few phone calls and sending out another set for the skylights it was deemed that these were not working well. Eric confirmed that Hunter Douglas was in the process of redesigning these blind but it would be about 3-4 months.In the meantime Eric had us keep the original blinds until the new ones arrived. Eric kept his word because in May of this year our new ones came in and he reinstalled them and now all is excellent. One other thing, he had to install them about 15 feet up because we have open beam ceilings. Budget Blinds in Scotts Valley is who we would recommend to anyone who is looking for quality work and nice people who care. Thanks to Eric and Judy for all of their hard work.
