Description of Work: Southwest installed the NEMA 14-50 for Tesla - as well as an additional outlet for Christmas lighting outside the house. From the circuit breakers we needed to run a cable around 20-30 feet away through the garage ceiling. The exterior Christmas outlet was on the other side of the garage wall - at a different height. The job was done professionally by the Southwest owner's two assistants under his supervision and needed 3-4 hours.

Description of Work: Replaced my panel to a 200amp panel. He handled all the permit work as well.

Description of Work: The owner came in to provide an initial evaluation of what we thought was a simple blown out fan motor. He figured out that it was more than that, using various diagnostic tests, and sent over a crew of 2 a couple of days later. They determined that the problem was a faulty wire coupling in our attic, and quickly fixed the problem. We are happy that they figured this out and plan to have them return to fix other, less pressing problems in our electrical systems.

Description of Work: Installed electrical for jacuzzi. Work done well and professionally. Charged more than anticipated or quoted, but due to changes in scope of work. Problem has been in getting them to respond to me for scheduling. Get ignored too often.

Description of Work: Removed an old 4' x 4' 8 bulb fluorescent light fixture. Installed 14 led ceiling pot lights and 4 led dimmer switches. They did a good job and finished in 3 hours.

Description of Work: This is an excellent company. Not only was the job completed competently, quickly, and without any issues, Steve and his team are friendly, thoughtful, and nice people. | |I was very happy with their availability. I needed a new panel on an old house. It was a non-urgent call made late Friday afternoon, and Steve came out Monday morning to give me a quote. If I had wanted immediate assistance, Steve would have made time to come out that Friday evening to get things started, but I declined as it wasn't necessary. The team came out to make the repairs on Tuesday, and it was done that day. That week was when we had a lot of rain, and they made sure no mud was tracked in, and they did not inconvenience me with any trash or clean up. The inspector came out on the third day which concluded the project. | |Because of the location of the home, special instructions to find the place are needed. This is always an issue, as most people do not refer to the detailed instructions I've given. This was not the case with Southwest. I had zero issues with them; they did the job exactly as planned, at a very reasonable cost. This will be the company I will continue to go to for any electrical work in the future. I highly recommend them and would give them an A++ on Angie's List if I could.

Description of Work: Southwest Electric upgraded my very old electric panel. They removed the housing ("dog house") around the old unit, installed the new panel and repaired the exterior wall.

Description of Work: Replace two pendant lights in kitchen with a new monorail system and a new pendant. Replace a broken light switch and add a new GFCI outlet.

Description of Work: Install five in ceiling speakers plus wiring, mount our LCD TV, install inverse power plug and connect it all up.

Description of Work: We had a light bulb broken off in its socket and a wall switch that failed. Steve came in the afternoon as promised and removed the broken light bulb and replaced the failed light switch in about 1/2 hour. The job was completed to my satisfaction with a reasonable charge for the labor.

Description of Work: Had mysterious problem in kitchen with microwave and stove going off, then electricity returning. Circuit breakers didn't go off -- just these two outlets. They came out and figured out the problem with wiring (loose connections, failure to have a thing that kept wiring tight in outlet) and promptly repaired.

Description of Work: Installed an attic vent fan to help cool the house in the summer. Installed two bathroom vent fans, including switches. Repaired two GFI outlets in Master Bath.

Description of Work: Our old breaker box door was broken which allowed the rain to pour in and you couldn't tell which circuit breaker was off when one was thrown. To replace it was $500 cheaper than other quotes and Southwest Electric had been recommended to us by our landscape designer. The work was to install a new 100 amp service which included an all new 100 amp panel with breakers; a new riser, weather head and wiring through the roof, new grounding for panel with ground rod, patch exterior wall and permit included.
