Premier fence & deck

We had a great experience working with Premier. Jake came out promptly to bid the job. We knew we wanted a wooden deck and he gave us a lot of information about our various options. We selected the grade of redwood he recommended and decided to pay for staining on both sides. The price quoted for the job was right in line with the bid we had already received from another experienced deck builder. Jake suggested one alteration in the design -- wider steps -- which we accepted, and are really glad we did. We selected Premier because Jake seemed more flexible and responsive to our concerns, less of the "my way of the highway" attitude we felt from the other bidder. We were given a start date of 2/1, and though we expected delays due to rain, the crew was out there the morning of the first by 7 a.m. Enrique, the main carpenter, and his helpers were fantastic. The design for the deck included, complex angles, wide steps, a tricky built-in planter box and wooden railings. It was clear that Enrique could not do anything less than perfectly, and we have a beautiful deck to show for it. When we or the builders needed to contact the Premier office, Jessica, the office manager, responded immediately to calls or emails. Jake cooperated fully with us and our designer and everything went very smoothly. My husband and I could not be happier.

I contacted Premier deck and fence to quote my fence and a gate that I wanted to have installed. They stated that they could build gates and fences. I talked with their guy to quote originally, and he said he would get me a quote right away and that it would be easy for them to do what I asked. I called after a week had passed, and they never responded to my phone calls, emails, trying to get them over services, etc. Then, I just pretended to be a new person. They called me right back. Scheduled to send out their quotation guy. He remembered me and my project and said he would make sure that they quoted my business. That was on 8/20. He told me that the quote department was not working correctly and that he would fix it. Then I got a quote of $26,000 and for a fence that was of Douglas Fir and not Redwood that I asked for. When I sent them a message asking them why they would quote me a gate for $22,000, then never responded to my email. It was put in as a "placeholder". Really, after 3 months you can't even quote a simple gate at a reasonable price? These people are completely incompetent. I almost laughed when I saw that they complained about reviews from other sites that were terrible. Well, if you treat your customers badly, then of course they will give you bad reviews. I was very nice to the guy. I have money to do this project. I would expect a reasonable quote. Additionally, if they didn't want to do the job, why didn't they tell me this and the reason why instead of putting together this outrageous quote, after their guy said it was a good job and that he would be happy to quote it.

They took two days from start to finish. Painted the posts black and oiled the wood. Outstanding finished product. Will use them again for our decking.
