When I first met him his niceness and personallity really stood out, but deep down I new price would be a big factor on who I would higher, and was relieved when his quote was reasonable, and felt no need to bargain. He was very nice, easy to work with and accommodating. He allowed my guys to do the drywall work on the ceiling, and gave my handymen some electrical pointers. He was VERY generous with his information and time. I highly recommend and thank him. I do not pass up the opportunity to refer him to my friends.
Description of Work: Tim fixed 3 bathroom fans.

TLC visited my house during renovations and installed four recessed CFL cannister lights in two rooms in my house. Their work was high-quality and they executed efficiently. Later TLC performed finish electrical work on my kitchen as described above. TLC rates are very reasonable and they performed promptly and in a professional manner. I'd recommend this contractor to anyone.
Description of Work: Installed recessed lighting in two rooms in my house (family room, den). Installed finish electrical in a newly-remodeled kitchen (switches, dimmers, double-oven, rangetop microwave oven). An interior design and project management firm referred TLC Electric to me, however I contracted and paid TLC Electric directly.

We were referred to Tim by our interior designer (Style on a Shoestring -- also found on Angie's List) to relocate a vanity light. We had two other miscellaneous jobs that needed electrical work, too (fan repair in bathroom and new light fixture over stairwell)/. Tim arrived on time, did a great job relocating the new vanity light, instructed us on the light's features, and gave us a suggestion on how to make the drywall repair to cover up the old fixture's location. He cleaned up very well after the job. Regarding the bathroom fan, we had purchased a new unit, but Tim suggested that we replace just the motor. This would require a return visit, but the cost would be able the same, so we opted to repair rather than replace. On his way out of the house, Tim spotted our very old smoke detector and offered to look at it. He showed me where it was starting to fail: black residue that looked like it could have come from a short. (Smoke detectors causing house fires? Who knew?) On his return visit, Tim brought a new smoke detector and new fan motor, both of which he installed. I had a light fixture for the stairwell, and he did that too. Again, he cleaned up very well afterward and disposed of our old smoke detector, since it can't be tossed in the trash due to radioactive content.
Description of Work: Repaired bathroom fan motor. Installed new junction box and vanity light. Replaced smoke alarm. Installed new light fixture over stairwell.
