1: Not reliable: Mr. Shield barely pickup his phone, he never follow his words. He promised us to installed, and because of a bigger job, he take away of his word. 2: Always try to be excused: He can make up thousand reasons to be excused, because he did not reply your call, he could NOT make it, due to...... 3: A big Liar: He told me one story, and He can tell my partner another story to be excused. I dont know the reason that the ppl below give him high reviews. But i will never have a job for him. This is my advice!

Waste of time to deal with a flaky contractor.

Contractor came to our house almost two weeks ago and we still waiting for a pricing quote that was promised "in a couple days". Made a phone call and was told, "tomorrow". Still waiting......

This was a large project, I had 5 bids from other companies, and Ron, owner of Shields Fence Company was very professional, explained all to me, punctual and put my mind at ease. I decided to go with his company, he had one of the better prices also. The crew showed up on time with Ron, he explained how everything was to go to them, bright and early, at 7am. Replacing my fence, involves 3 neighbors fences also, Ron went with me to meet all 3 neighbors in advance and explained to them it was 2 day process and answered any questions and worked out any final details with them. So my fence looks amazing, I have a rolling double gate, and it now opens 8 foot, and the project went off flawless. Shields Fence Co. has very professional guys that work for him, I never heard one bad word from them in 2 days..... They clean up after themselves, and any little things that come up, they handled, I had to move a sprinkler and cap it, it was in the way of the new fence and Ron did it for me, wow, amazing. I was recommended this company by my back neighbors who had 4 homes done by Shields fence last summer, one street over, there fences still look Great! I would recommend this company to my friends and family. Professional, on time, very clean and organized and when they left everything was spotless, and I have a Beautiful New Fence, Thank You Ron and Crew!! Sue

It went as planned. It was after the work had been completed that I found out what the plan was. There was a breakdown in communication. No one is to blame. We're all in this together The owner Ron Shields has been up-front and honest, and has done more than what I would expect from a contractor in this situation and so far has done everything I've asked him to do. The contractor, my neighbor, and I are in agreement that we can work this out.

If not for one gate that I wasn't 100% satisfied with, I would have given them perfect marks. In the end, it's just a fence and Ron is a genuinely good guy. Hard working, family man and very easy to deal with.

Ron was responsive and gave his quote in a timely manner. He was able to complete the job in 1/2 day. His employees were very courteous and tore down and removed the old fencing.

They were actually down the street from us and we could see the house they had done. We decided to put it in our neighborhood business and we were very happy. They were prompt and they got the work done like they said they were going to do. We are happy with the quality of the work. The overall experience was best. It has been few months down the road now, we have been through winter and the fence is drying out. There wasn't any big gaps or big whooping or anything like that. It appears that it was all good.
