Description of Work: The home we purchased a couple of years ago had an Eagle installed gate and fence around the backyard. One of the gate posts had pulled away from the wall of the house making the gate difficult to open and close. I had no idea how long ago the fence has been installed so thought it best to call and see if it might be under warranty. As it turns out, everything had been put in several years ago, so no coverage there, but he did offer to repair the gate for $40 since he was already on site. Best $40 I've spent in some time! Not only did he fix the sagging post and reinforce it, but he also fixed the spring on the other gate door that the contractors that flipped our house had put back on the wrong side. He also gave us a quote to replace one side of fencing that was not done by Eagle and has deteriorated pretty significantly. All around I've very pleased and highly recommend them!

+ -1 moreBased on my first impression of him, he was straight forward. He even remembered my house from five years ago when he had given me a quote on the back fence. Because it has been raining here for the last couple of days, he is kind of behind on the work and he hasn't called back but I know that he will be in touch. The price wasn't the cheapest one but it was better than for the handy man I contacted who gave me quote of nearly three thousand dollars. According to the quote he said that he was going to use premium fencing post. When He said premium, I realized that he was going to use good quality posts other than the cheap sort which are quite common and I liked that.
Description of Work: Eagle Fence Company is a kind of a family run operation. They came out and gave me a quote for a back fence that fell a couple of years ago. They didn't do any work because between my neighbor and I, we got it done. He said he was going to be able to start on March 31st but then I called them back and changed what I wanted to have done to 62 feet of fence. The fencing that I am having done is on the west side of my house.

+ -1 moreOwner came out on time to give estimate. Work started a day late due to supplier. When work was finished, the fence looked great, but the brick wall was cracked in several places, plaster was chipped/scraped off in several places, plaster was discolored around mount plates, bolts used to mount fence to wall had not been completely ground down, black paint used to match bolts to fence color was found on plaster and on nearby concrete.Owner came out and offered to make repairs or to pay for repairs. Repairs completed by owner's crew were good, but the process of grinding left divots in surrounding concrete. Next time, I will require quality of workmanship to be spelled out in contract and the remedies to be followed if such workmanship is not of good quality.
Description of Work: Hired to put an ornamental iron fence on top of a new brick and plastered wall.

+ 0 moreOur new fence was poorly installed to the point that there are gaps that I can see into the neighbors yard and when he installed the gate he never asked me which way I wanted it installed. I approached him during the installation and he disregarded my questions. A week later my son found that he had missed a post cap, I left a message about it and it took three months and three phone calls for him to bring it out.

+ 0 moreIt took a while for the gate but the installation was completed in two days. They did not have one part for an emergency entrance for police and/or fire. They are suppose to install that as soon as it arrives. This is a fairly new purchase but so far it seems to work well. We were satisfied with the employees that we met.

+ -1 moreThe fence looks good and appears to be strong. It uses steel posts to eliminate concern about dry rot and termites. However, the day after the work was done I discovered a sprinkler that was inches from the fence had been broken off. I had the replacement parts and fixed it myself. Also, a rain gutter drain pipe near the fence had been damaged. I replaced that as well. So the fence is good, but the installers could have been more careful and could have done a better job cleaning up after themselves.
Description of Work: Replace a fence coming down a slope to a gate across a sidewalk, then connecting to a garage wall. Approximately 24 feet total.

+ -1 moreThe workmanship was very average. The gate mechanism was installed on a knot in the wood so it has repeatedly come out. The gate mechanisms that were repaired do not line up and close properly. The repair to keep the gate from dragging has held. Wood quality seems pretty low, I don't know if that is standard. The office staff was responsive and polite when I called.
