When he came out again, he took machine apart and found that it could be motherboard or motor. Machine was only 6 years old, but I decided to buy a new one as the repair parts could be 500-600 dollars without labor. Since he had to delay 2 days, and did not fix the machine, he did not charge me. I asked him which brands of washers he would recommend. He told me which ones he felt were best and which to steer away from. I purchased a Whirlpool Duet. I found him to be very courteous, knowledgeable, and congenial. I definitely will call him if I need repair of my non-Siemans appliances and have recommended him on my neighborhood computer Buzz. I even got two positive replies from others who have used him.
Description of Work: He was very nice and didn't even charge for his coming out to check front-load Siemens washing machine. He was not sure of how to go about the repair and sent out a request on line to other repair personnel. Because he is not certified by Bosch, they would not talk to him. He made another appt to come out which had to be rescheduled due to hia family member having to be hospitalized.

lExcellent. John narrowed the trouble shoot process down to the motor or the belt safety switch. He initially checked all the wiring and fuses for power which took some time. He was very methodical and thorough. He showed up before his scheduled appointment and went right to work. He is 43 years in the business and knows his stuff. No hesitation in calling on him again with a similar problem in this area.
Description of Work: Nine year old Kenmore dryer inoperative. No power. Initially thought to be a blown fuse but found to be a belt safety switch requiring a complete dismantling of the the dryer to reach the part and replace. There was no other way to access the defective part as it was located at the inside rear of the dryer and there was no access from a door or plate on the back of the dryer. The safety switch is for the purpose of shorting power to the motor if the belt breaks.

He services our coin-operated machines when they have problems. I'm not sure if he services regular washing machines. He knows what he's doing. He is very good.
Description of Work: He replaced the belts in a washing machine.
