I interviewed and go bids from multiple HVAC contractors in the area. Moore HVAC sent to top technicians and installers who worked for an entire week on what turned out to be an entire custom job the expectation that the system simply needed to be replaced as it was. The laws in Napa had changed since the original installation when the system had to be installled outside the garage. The new installation includes a high efficiency dual speed furnace and air conditioning system with the furnace located in the garage. In addition the origninal home was built with the intention of putting ducts in an existing space to the upstairs but couldn't be used when built 20 years ago. The old system also was improperly installed without any return air ducting. This was all corrected with return ductilng installed as it should have been and with return air from the second floor ensuring that temperatures throught the house are the same. All this was done for the original price, no extra charges and guaranteed with follow-up and system adjustment to be done as part of the installation on request and in 4 months. I could not give a better review to any HVAC and thoroughly recomment Moore to anyone who has a heating and/or air conditioning problem.

I researched and met with at least four other companies before deciding on Moore who were willing to match any other offer for a comparable furnace. They were very courteous and efficient and came back several times to make some adjustments until they were sure I was completely satisfied. I highly recommend this company.

I called Moore after an unusual cold spell knocked out my heating system. It took total of three visits and about $500 to get the problem fixed. During the first visit the technician diagnosed the problem as an old, faulty circuit breaker that was overheating and tripping frequently. During the second visit, the part they brought did not fit in the breaker box. I was told the box is very old and so they had brought the wrong part. They finally replaced the faulty part on the third visit and my system is up and running again. Two different technicians came out and both of them seemed competent, friendly and very capable of communicating the issues and proposed solutions. My only reservation about the experience was that the $500 price tag for a diagnosis and replacing the circuit breaker seemed a bit steep, but I am not an expert on how much these things cost. At the end of the day, they got my heater working and I have not had any problems with my heater since (it's been about 3 months). I also signed up for their maintenance program for them to come out once a year to check over my HVAC system. Hopefully with maintenance, I won't have to pay for many costly repairs.

I don't think it was that helpful. The company is fine, but we have a kind of tricky heating situation and he wasn't really able to help us. There wasn't anything he could really do for the $19. It was his opportunity to pitch his company's maintenance plan and stuff. So it was really $19 that wasn't worth spending. His responsiveness was definitely great and he was punctual.

It took them a long time to come out to me - over a month. When they did come out, they tried to sell me a new furnace & a maintenance program. I personally feel like they shouldn't be pulling apart my old furnace. The tech seemed knowledgeable.

It went really well. The office staff was good. They let us know when the tech needed to change the time. Our tech did a really good job for us while he was here. He explained everything on his report and what he was doing, as well as made some recommendations. Dale Wheeler was our tech.

They were fantastic. They were on time, they were very informative, and I would recommend them to anybody. Price wise he was very specific that my unit was not worth putting any money into it. I found him extremely cheap. He spent at least 4 hours here and $20 was a steal. He was very professional.

The service was fine. They were very nice. The service did take a long time to schedule and they missed the first appointment that was scheduled. But when they were able to come out they did do a good job. The guy was very polite, professional and did excellent work.

It was great he spent a lot of time looking and cleaning the furnace. He decided we needed a follow up from his supervisor. Used this company because of the $19 coupon for the furnace exam. ( and other reviews) Because of the big response to the coupon, the service date was later than I hoped, but was understandable. senior rate for second furnace exam was $69 . i needed to ask for the senior rate. Our service person was Dave. He was a most professional, polite, careful, on time person. We felt we were in good hands and got an honest estimate for work needing to be done and checkup on our furnaces. I would highly recommend him. He called his boss Jason to come over and confirm the estimate. After we received the estimate for replacement or repair, we looked at other estimates and found Haddon to be more reasonable. the price was the determining factor. Haddon was exceptional in their service as well. I will write a separate review of them. To be clear, the price for the examination of furnace is the typical rate except for the great coupon deal. . the replacement rate was noncompetitive.
Description of Work: examined both furnaces for safety & efficiency. crawled under the house to check that ducts were intact and operating well, checked each vent in the house, cold air returns, filters. wore shoe covers while inside my house. found one furnace fine and one needing some repairs. gave estimate for repair and or replacement.

When I needed to have some work done on my heater, I submitted three estimate requests via Angie's list and Moore was the ONLY company that responded. We had them come out to tune up the heater and they were first to take it apart and actually get inside. We'd replaced our heater about 12 years ago by another Sonoma County company who declared our heater to be condemned. We were fairly new homeowners and didn't know any better and believed them. We didn't get a second opinion but took them at their word. Over the years, other companies who have serviced our heater told us it was too big for our house but never explained why. When Moore came out this past fall 2013, this was the first time we were given an explanation of why. Our heater was having to work too hard for the space and duct work it was trying to blow through, as a result it was always really loud. Moore installed our new heater, it's much quieter and does a better job heating our house. Per their own policy of a follow up inspection four months after the installation, they discovered something had been left out. They returned within a few days to complete the job. One wrinkle in our situation was that during the initiation tune up, they suggested replacing my Carbon Monoxide detector. Within two weeks, they were offering a deal on Angie's list for the very service I had just paid for PLUS the CO detector was included. I called the office to inquire and was told it was a special intended for new customers. Wasn't I one? I was told that I had to pay for the service again in order to get the CO detector. I begrudgingly agreed as I was hoping to help them see my point of view. When the technician came out for the service, I told him what had happened. He called the office on my behalf and arranged for me to get a refund on the repeat service. As far as I'm concerned, they did the right thing in the end. I believe that sometimes you need to give someone a chance to let it sink in, that good customer service goes much farther in the end. I have subsequently signed up for an annual maintenance agreement and expect many years of good service from Moore.

The technician was more interested in selling me a monthly maintenance plan. Our furnace is still not working properly and I'm not convinced that his assessment was correct. His recommendation was to replace some expensive components which would cost around $1400 - $1500. This may be correct but a bit of a shocker to my wife and I. This was the second visit, (1st was in Feb.), with the same issue so we are very disappointed with the results. The people are friendly enough; however, when the technician realized I wasn't going to purchase the maintenance plan his demeanor changed. He asked me why I didn't want the plan. I really don't like being pressured into purchasing something. The owner of the company called me back prior to seeing this review to discuss my issues. He was very understanding and agreed to refund my money. He even brought the check over to our house to deliver it. Thanks Jon,
