We hired a previous HVAC guy to install our furnce/ac and paid for the job in full; unfortunately the guy passed away mid-job and we didn't have the AC hooked up and working yet. The previous guy told us we needed a $200 part to finish the job because the AC just sat for too long waiting for the install. We were given Kevin Johnsons card/name by a friend and called him about our situation. We had previously called some big companies and they were very rude and unwilling to finish a job started by another contractor. Kevin was awesome. He came out the same day to take a look and then the next day to install the AC. Kevin is awesome! He installed the AC and it was kicking out super cold air that very next day. We told him about the previous guy saying our AC needed some new part but that we didn't know what it was... After looking at the system he said he didn't think it needed any part and he pointed out that the electrical box that was already there needed replacing because there were some burn marks so he replaced it with a low cost $50 new box. He said he didn't know how the previous guy could know that the AC needed a part because it was never hooked up, so how would he even know that. We had some other fishy stuff with the previous guy so when Kevin hooked up the AC and it worked perfect, no parts needed, we were excited. Kevin could have used this situation and walked out with more money but he didn't, so you've got an honest contractor here and that's gold. There were also some code violations with the previous install and he fixed those too and didn't charge us extra for it either. He was very thorough in sealing up the duct work and insulating certain pipes and it all looks very clean and nice. Given I know little about HVAC I had no idea the previous work was so shotty until I saw Kevin's work. There was a huge difference. I would highly recommend you call Kevin if you need HVAC work. He's quick, knowledgeable and honest and his prices are reasonable.

Johnson Mechanical HVAC installed a completely new AC/Heating system into a home that we bought that was a foreclosure home in Dec 2011. Our home had to be Energy Reviewed due to a HUGE electricity bill that we got in the mail from PG&E for a TRUE Up Bill that was over $5300.00 after we had 32 Solar panels put onto hour home a year ago. When the Energy Auditors came and inspected our home and did a thorough inspection, they came back with 3 items that needed to be upgraded to improve our home's energy consumption. The AC/Heating was one of them. We called Johnson Mechanical HVAC, he came and did a free in home estimate for the job, and sent us a quote once he had all the information he needed. His quote was affordable and we had it done. It took about 5 days total to do our home due to the fact that it was such a large job, but in the end it was well worth every penny that we spent. They re-ducted the entire house, opened small vents up that needed to be larger for air flow to go through and make the room comfortable, they installed the top of the line monitoring unit on the market called NEST into both upstairs and downstairs for us to be able to have 2 separate zones. Our AC and Heater used to run, run, run all the time. Since having this system in place, we have been able to cut our use of the AC unit down tremendously and could not have been happier with the service we got. The owner of the company is Kevin and he was the one working every single day on our home and made everything right and improved what needed to be improved upon. ***ALSO... Without even charging us extra he found out the reason for our dryer vent not working properly and installed a new venting system after showing us what the problem was and got the parts and fixed it BETTER than it was!**** This company has gone above and beyond the call of duty on servicing our home and I suggest to everyone this company to work with. You can't beat their prices (I know, I called 5 other companies and got bids for thousands of dollars more)... THANKS KEVIN!!! You Rock!
