Issue solved quickly and professionally

Steve replaced an old cartridge and installed a new one. Was lucky that the valve didn't need to be replaced as that would have cost much more. Very professional, courteous, informative and friendly. He will be returning to remove the old drain as it is also old and corroded and is not really needed. Will simply use a stopper.

The person I was told who'd come was who showed up. He was very nice and went right to work. Explained to me how the stopper comes out and allowed me to watch as he did his work. Thankfully the drainage trouble didn't require snaking, but frustrating that such a small problem I couldn't fix myself because I couldn't find out how to get the stopper out myself, and cost me over $100. I also asked him to leave the stopper out so that I could put a screened drain cover in instead and he graciously did so. Works perfectly now.

Were on time, respectful, professional, friendly. Answered all my questions and explained their findings in words I could understand. Made this experience as good as it could be. I would definitely recommend them to my friends.

I bought the items and Sean installed them for me. He was on time and professional and very informative. Sean did a great job and when the kitchen faucet weight was hanging up on some of the plumbing below, came and fixed it at no charge. That is one measure of professionalism-- standing behind the work done. I will be recommending them to my neighbors and friends in the area.

These are my "go to" guys. I check if they can do something before I would go to another contractor. I highly recommend them.

When I called them the woman on the phone was very pleasant. She was concerned because they were so busy that I would have to wait 3 days. I told her that it was OK since i had a large pan under the leak. She reminded me to check it frequently in case the leak got worse. When the plumber (Sean) arrived he was right on time and very friendly. He repaired the faucet and showed me where it was likely to fail in the future (it was not the best quality faucet in the world). He warned me that if (when) it failed I would have to replace it. When I asked, he gave me very clear instructions about what to look for in a new faucet and how my current set-up could be adapted to a better faucet. He then checked the toilet. Because it was an unusual style of flapper he didn't have one in his truck so he ran to the hardward store for a new one. I asked him to show me how to replace it and he did so very patiently. These turned out to be relatively simple problems which I might have fixed myself but Sean never made me feel embarrased about it. The whole interaction was very pleasant, and I fully intend to use them in the future. In fact, the darned kitchen faucet is already showing signs of falling apart so as soon as I get a new one I will call them to come and install it (and fix all the other plumbing problems I have since discovered).

They were great. They were very prompt, they came out immediately. We had a real big problem there and he got solved it real quickly the same day, ran and got the toilet and came back, put it in. The whole work was awesome, he's great. They came in real fast when they said they would.

It was great. Everything was fine and everything worked out. They came in and did what they were supposed to do.

Did NOT go well at all. Started with call to them to schedule an appt. to get the water heater repaired or an estimate of what the problem was. The woman that answered the phone was abrasive. She asked what kind of water heater was it? I said I didn't know. She asked if it was gas or electric. I said gas (gas has a pilot light, electric doesn't) hence the reason I need a repair. She asked how old it was I said 20 yrs old. Right off the bat she said I probably need a new one. Not even knowing if this one could be fixed. Just jumped to the conclusion I needed new. I said it looks brand new and there's no other problem with it. I told her the pilot light is so small it's like it's not getting enough gas. She said it maybe just a part. I said can I schedule an appt. she said yes. I advised her I had a coupon from Angie's list but I saw on their website a 15% off coupon for labor. She said let's do a free estimate and save that for any repairs. I said good idea. So we agreed that Wednesday the 19th Sean will be there between 9 - 10 a.m. As of this time of 2:15 p.m. On 3-19 Sean still hasn't shown up. No courtesy phone calls, nothing! What is so sad is no one has integrity anymore for their job or others. Take accountability for your actions. If your going to be late just give a courtesy call and advise your client. We all lead very busy lives and to sit around for hours on end waiting is such an inconvenience and a waist of my time. It's hard enough to trust service people in your home but I guess it's harder to find a company trust worthy on their word to be on time, customer service friendly and ready to give an honest estimate on what the problem is. (I feel before Sean came to my home I would of been advised that I need a new water heater no matter what the condition the water heater is in.) This is my 1st experience with Angie's list, so I hope I didn't get mislead by them also. So far I'm not impressed with any of this. I need to call 48 hrs or 20/20 and tell them I'll be bait for them to catch bad guys.

I am so glad to have found the Anderson family plumbing service. They explained when they could come, how much their services cost and they were very patient with my questions and concerns. They were on time, friendly and kind, explained the entire problem and replaced the wax ring, cleaned out and checked the low water toilet, made sure I understood that the ceramic tile floor was not altogether flat, thus the very old wax ring had created leaks. Then they gave me the Angie's List discount. They gave me a good estimate for further work and I will definitely call them again. They are a lovely family, professional, capable and experienced. I give them the very highest recommendation!

Sean from Gifford Anderson Plumbing has only been here once. He seemed like a nice guy, seemed to do good work and seemed to know what he was talking about. To be honest, we thought they were a bit over priced but we're new to the area and we may not know ow much plumbers here charge.

I called and explained my situation at 1:00 in the afternoon. They said someone would be there at 1:30. He arrived a little late, 1:40, but it was the owner of the company. He was very patient with me and figured out the problem quickly. I had been told that the disconnected pipe would cost thousands of dollars to fix, so I just didn't use the facilities in the granny unit that lead to it. Mr. Anderson said that he could probably fix it for much less, and he was right. He first offered to do some digging that would only cost me $50 at most; if I wanted the fix, that would be included in the price. After the digging, he determined he could do this for $300 or so; I also needed the rooter for $189 to take care of the blockage. I agreed to this and he left to buy the parts. He was back about 2 hours later and reconnected the pipes and installed a clean out for me. My house was built in 1951; I am not sure where the official clean out is, probably under some bricks or soil. Now I have one. He contracted the rooting out to an associate, Pete, who arrived 15 minutes earlier (to my gratitude) and who was also very efficient and effective. I am so grateful to Angie's list for the referral; it really solved a problem for me!
