Matt and his crew arrived on schedule and were professional and efficient during the entire job, which included bringing in a crane to remove the old unit from the roof and lifting the new one into position. The whole operation was completed in less time than originally estimated and the final cost was exactly as estimated when I signed the contract. I would highly recommend Westside Heating to anyone who needs work done in this category.

I called Westside and they referred me to Kevin Watson. I scheduled Mr. Watson who was very punctual and professional. He was able to repair my heater so that it works better than ever. He also answered my questions about the heater. I would definitely call Mr. Watson and Westside again.

We finally decided to have AC installed in our home. There was an initial consult and walk-through with Mike, followed by a written, itemized proposal. Mike thoroughly explained what would be involved and answered all of our questions. After signing the contract and deciding to go ahead with the project, we didn't have to wait long to be scheduled. (We were not in any hurry, but obviously summers would be busy for A/C installation.) The crew arrived on-time and did the work in an efficient and timely manner. They were conscientious and friendly. We would highly recommend this company.

Installed a new heating and air unit for upstairs. He advised me to spend a little more for a quieter and more compact unit, and it was good advice and worth the money. I think all in it was $14k, including duct work for the downstair, fixed a few things that needed fixing, new thermostats, etc.. Mike is a detailed guy. Definitely recommend.

It was an annual review of our air conditioner that was put in three years ago. In terms of responsiveness they were booked for an installation for a fair amount of time so we had to wait, I guess, 6-7 weeks before we could get someone out here. Once they came here they did the work It was the right work. It was effective, sufficient. I have no complaints.

Yesterday I contacted Westside Heating, highly rated on Angie's List. The individual I spoke to said they were so busy with installation work that they could not get out here in the time frame I needed. He referred me to Kevin Watson, an independent heating and AC specialist they could seriously vouch for and would be much more available. Kevin was out within a couple of hours, thoroughly examined our heater to not only diagnose the problem but determine the origin which had to do with insufficient air circulation from dust accumulation on the air intake filter. That resulted in overheating such that a heat sensor in the circuit shut the heater down. The sensor once it closed had to be replaced.. Kevin came back today, replaced the sensor, adjusted the fan, and tested the unit. He spent several hours here and his charge for the service was very fair. Based upon the high quality of Kevin's work and professionalism, I would enthusiastically recommend him, and I very much appreciate the Westside Heating referral.

Perfectly +: Not only did Westside perform an excellent installation, for the agreed price and on time but something even better. During the installation one of the installers stepped on the emergency gas shut-off valve in the garden (which is very hard to see). So no stove /water heaters. Called 1st thing next morning and the "Boss" was here in a flash and opened up the gas valve, checked the stove and re-lit the 2 water heaters. This company is very old school. They do what they say and when a small problem arises, it gets fixed pronto. I was very impressed with their "after sale" ethics and response as well as the job itself. This is the kind of business you can TRUST to do top quality work and to follow up quickly if something is amiss. Can't recommend Westside too highly for heating or A/C work--THE BEST

Fabulously! Only an A+ rating approaches the quality of the response from Westside Heating and Air Conditioning. I called at 8:30 AM on Tuesday after the 4-day holiday. Mike said he would be at my place between 9 and 10 this vary morning; he was here at 8:35. 30 minutes later he had solved the problem, replacing a failed capacitor, with a new one that he had in his tool box!. Watching a knowledgeable professional examine the problem and solve it in front of me was most gratifying. His clear explanation as he went along was most reassuring. His courtesy and overall conduct could have not been better. I most highly recommend Westside Heating and Air Conditioning!!!

Mike, Matt, Alex, and Jay replaced our old air conditioning system, furnace, and ductwork. Westside Heating and Air Conditioning was very impressive from the initial bid (by Ron) all the way to the finish of the job! They were professional, friendly, efficient and helpful. Mike even figured out a way to save us from cutting into our attic entrance since our furnace dimension was larger than our attic opening. Mike suggested to enlarge our AC return to remove the old furnace and lift the new furnace through the AC return. The larger size return would help with the efficiency as well as decrease the noise of the new system! This solution ended up saving us over $300! They also enlarged the return space so perfectly that we don't even need to hire a handyman to patch our ceiling. How great is that when a contractor thinks about your job and how to configure it to make it better for you and to save you money! It was a two day job and Mike, Matt, Alex, and Jay were on time, covered the work areas, worked efficiently, took out the old and put in the new, and explained the whole system and digital thermostat afterwards. They were very professional and obviously experienced. I did have a minor issue which Mike and Matt kindly returned to help me with and addressed immediately, though it was more of my concern than anything else. I knew they had a busy schedule and appreciated the time they took out of their schedule for this. I found Mike to be very responsive, patient, and incredibly nice! Actually, all of them were great! Westside Heating and Air Conditioning want customers to be happy with their work and we can honestly say that we are. We HIGHLY recommend Westside Heating and Air Conditioning if you want a quality company with people who care about their customers! You can save yourself the time and trouble in looking for a fantastic HVAC company because Westside Heating and Air Conditioning is the best!

Mike from Westside Heating & AC just finished fixing a problem I was having with the connection between a new thermostat and our furnace. He went above and beyond: super communication, service, *and* education through the process on what the issue was, how he was addressing it, and tips for future reference. I wrote him for a quote on Saturday--which is off-hours--and he called me Sunday (also off-hours) to discuss the issue and then schedule an appt for early Monday. He explained his pricing right up front, and it was very fair. He came on time, finished very quickly, and explained a lot in the process. Super professional; I'm really happy--and warm again!

Wow! What a great company! Based on reviews, I selected three companies for bids. Westside thoroughly explained the process, gave me a reasonable bid, and impressed me with their professionalism and integrity. They did not try to up sell, which is what I encountered with one of the other companies. They showed up on time, kept the area spotless, and got the job done in a very efficient manner. Everyone on the crew was very friendly and courteous. After the system was installed, they explained how everything worked and answered all my questions. I received a follow-up call the next day. All in all, a great experience! I highly recommend them!! I wish there more family-owned companies like them.

Westside had installed an entire heating and Air conditioning system in our attic in April of 2016. They gave us a bid, which was very reasonable (best of all the companies we spoke to), and came out and in a day and a half completed the entire job, including all duct work and vents in every room, removing our old floor heater, and installing the heater and AC units in the attic. Great attitude, very knowledgable, worked clean and efficiently, perfect clean up after the job. We were delighted with the job and the heating/AC system itself. Last weekend 2/11/17, we woke up to a chilly house. The heating system wasn't working, when we upped the temp setting on the thermostat, no heat. We left a message for Mike at Westside. HE CALLED US BACK FIRST THING SUNDAY MORNING. He came over to our house 1/2 an hour later, climbed up into the attic and started troubleshooting the system Within 15 minutes.he had located the problem [a loose wire] and fixed it, All done with a great friendly and accommodating attitude. Mike even gave me some excellent tips on how to keep the outdoor AC fan free of leaves. All done on a Sunday morning. If you're on the west side of LA, I strongly recommend these folks for heating and AC work. The owner, Mike was vert professional and he found out the issue pretty quickly and instead of replacing that part, he fixed it with the tools in his truck and came back in 10 minutes. The entire service did not take more than 30minutes. I'd absolutely call them again if I had a problem with the furnace.

Wow, these guys get a lot of good reviews. Could they really be that good? I'll add my well-deserved endorsement. I like things to settle and make sure things work for a while before writing reviews. We had Westside replace our 30+ year old forced air unit with a new furnace and central air unit. We got quotes from the big guys who subcontract their work and decided to compare to a smaller local company. Mike came out to our house, did a survey and within a few days we got a recommendation and estimate. The estimate was somewhat lower than the big guys but we liked most is that we were comfortable working with Mike, grew to trust him, his advice and recommendations. We decided to go with Westside. They were busy, so it was a little difficult to schedule at first, but eventually we managed to get it done last May before summer. Our new system has been working for us for 4-1/2 months with no problems and the unit Mike recommended seems to be sized right for our house. It's 100 degrees today and we're enjoying the cool inside air. They also installed an attic fan for us. Not sure how much that has helped but it seemed like a good idea at the time. The work got done as promised, on time and very quickly (not quite a day and a half). Unless you are an expert in HVAC (which I am not) you really have to place a lot of trust in a HVAC installer to have a lot of experience, pick the right equipment, do the job correctly (not easy), and make sure everything is to code. Exceptional service from the entire team at Westside Heating & Air Conditioning (WHAC). We discovered the company on Angie's List only to have a neighbor give a glowing recommendation on their service experience after a recent installation of an A/C unit. From the initial phone request for an estimate to the two, on-site diagnostics, installation and follow-up, we felt confident with our selection. Ron and Mike led a time of competent craftsmen, to include an electrician, with the install of the entire A/C system in less than one-day. Competent, thorough and responsive to our requests for location and coordinating both the tankless water heater and A/C installs in two-days - total. We are highly selective with tradesmen and craftsmen, so our "A" evaluation is not a blanket 'easy A', but based on years of experience and our high expectations for service. WHAC delivered on every aspect. You can vet multiple bids or try and trim costs with a big-box store, but WHAC does not sub-contract any work out, so rest assured the team you meet is the team that does the work. Highest recommendation.

I would recommend this company highly. They came out and assessed my needs talked to me about how I used my air conditioning and heating, and recommended exactly what I needed. They showed up on time, completed the work and cleaned up everything. They also showed me how to clean the filter and told me when I should have a checkup on the system. they were just here and did a check, cleaned the filter and put new batteries into the thermostat. I have recommended them to neighbors when asked, and if I needed anything I would call on Westside in a minute.

I never got a price. Their responsiveness was fine. They never called back. They were fine at first, but they did not follow-through on the estimate to replace our units.

I had a new furnace and central AC installed in my Mar Vista home in May. I went through rigorous research before selecting Westside. I had 4 separate local installers come to my house and provide estimates. All 4 estimates were within $500 dollars...so it wasn't going to come down to price. It came down to 3 considerations: Quality of the equipment to be installed as part of the estimate, my confidence level and comfort (or lack of) with each contractor based on my interactions with them, reviews/reputation of each contractor. My decision was made pretty easily once Ron the owner from Westside came to the house. He is a professional, with decades of experience. Right off the bat I could tell that he was 100% honest. He first took a look at the existing furnace and assessed my house. After a walk through and analysis, he asked me a bunch of questions to gain an understanding of the house, and what I was looking for. He walked me through a few options, but did not "push" anything on me. He led me to the facts and let me make the decisions. There was no hard sell to an upgraded colossally expensive HEPA filtration system. Nothing like that. Ron and Westside are 100% honest and their reputation after more than 30 years serving the Westside speaks for itself. It is obvious...they want you to be happy...they want your neighbors to ask you about your experience. Ron told me that the install would take 1 day...plus maybe a few hours the next day. On the day of the install, Ron's son and Godson...Matt and Alex showed up....Right on time! The job was done in about 6 hours. They were kind, considerate, and highly professionals...super nice guys...felt like friends rather than the AC guys. During the install, Matt noticed that an additional return might be needed in the living room...he called Ron and together they made the recommendation to add the return....without charging me for the additional labor and cut the price of the materials in half...saving me in total $400. The next day, Ron checked in with me to ask me how everything went. I honestly could not be more pleased. Do yourselves a favor...if you live on the Westside and are considering getting a new furnace or central A/C, call a couple of companies for quotes...but I GUARANTEE that you will choose Westside Heating & Air...a family business run by honest professionals.
