ROSE ROSENBERG

I've used Rose several times... to fix what other "plumbers" screwed up. Now I know to call Rose first! This time I had a leaking hose bib and had a friend who is a building tech replace it. Then the faucet behind the washing machine began to leak. I was able tighten that and stop the drip. Then the pressure valve on our instant hot water heater opened. It didn't take any more clues to make me decide these things were all related! My building tech friend didn't know what they all had in common. I called Rose and she said that the pressure regulator to house was no longer working. Rose said that meant whatever pressure the City was delivering water to us at was going thru all the pipes in the house and any pipe or appliance that couldn't handle that high pressure would leak, or as the hot water did, release it's own pressure regulator. She told me what the pressure regulator looked like and where I would find it outside the house. She asked me (and this is what I LOVE about Rose!) to take a cell phone photo of it including any identifying information, and text it to her. She would pick up a new one before coming to replace it. Working this way saves both Rose and the homeowner a service call just to get identifying information from a part that needs to be replaced. Rose was available in a few days and came over and replaced the pressure regulator. Then she checked the connections that had leaked, the water heater pressure valve, and made sure there was enough pressure in the shower.

I have a hot water pump and it is a strange situation where I get hot water when I turn the cold water on. I figured out somehow that it was the pump and turned the pump off and sure enough it was the pump. She diagnosed the problem over the phone and likes to tell you how to do things yourself, and likes to teach you things. We have very hard water and my husband noticed that the valve was also coated with lime deposits and, so told him to take something and bang on it. She told him not to bang too hard and see if it fixes it, but it did not so she will be coming out on Thursday morning. She was also involved in the mold problem we had, but she could not fix it because our house was at the time only 3 years old and is under warranty. She tested the shower pan and she was a liaison between me and the contractor to make sure he did it the right way. She installed a sink in the garage and it involved digging a trench which she did with her sister. She has moved outdoor faucets to different locations. She is hard working and I trust her. She was recommended to me by my realtor.
