Fabulous. George and his crew were professional, knowledgeable, conscientious, accessible and attentive to my questions and concerns. The crew showed up on time every day throughout the course of the work. They kept me informed when they bumped into something unusual - like the discovery that parts of my house had five roofs! This was much too much weight for my house to carry. Obviously no other roofer told me that and they just kept adding layers on top of existing roofs. Good grief. George corrected all that by clearing out the old roofs and giving me one good one. It's been a few years now. We've been through some serious rain storms and wind storms. My house is snug and dry.

George was very responsive when it came to my appointment. However, when he arrived I found him to be arrogant, pushy, and unprofessional. Don't understand all the good reviews. I have some roof shingle issues and had a few other roofers give me estimates. All said, apart from a few things, that my roof is in good condition. George, who didn't even climb ON the roof, was claiming that I need an entire new roof. When I told him about the other roofers findings he basically decided he didn't want my business, dismissed me, and said "I guess you know more than me". Not a very professional way to handle the situation. Additionally, he felt comfortable parking his truck in my driveway when there was plenty of street parking, didn't shake hands, or look me in the eye. Maybe he was having a bad day, but it all rubbed me the wrong way and could tell I didn't want to work with him.

My husband and I hired George Parks Roofing to replace our 25 year old roof. George came to our home promptly at the appointed time and surveyed our roof. He then took my husband on the roof to point out the needed repairs and replacements. This was great customer service as it is always good to physically see what needs work. We decided to hire George as we were comfortable with his service. We selected the color we wanted and set a date for the repair. George's team showed up promptly on the morning of removal, and within 3 days we have a new roof that was expertly installed and everything was cleaned up. I would highly recommend him for any roof job and will use his company for any other painting or service he provides.

I manage an apartment building and work with a lot of vendors. This was a very unusual experience. I have never had such wonderful customer service! George Parks painted the exterior of my sister's house as well as some roof repair and installed rain gutters George was in constant contact with me throughout the process. He was very kind, always available to answer any questions and his workers were wonderful as well! Everything turned out great! It exceeded our expectations! I am getting an estimate today for painting the building that I manage. I will recommend this company to everyone!

WOW!! After having several contractors come by and fail to follow through, George showed up on a Monday to bid the job and the job was complete by Thursday! No shortcuts taken either. We live in essentially a bungalow that was built in 1927. It had seven layers including the old wood shake. They demolished the old roof, sheeted the rafters and laid a proper new roof in its place. They used top shelf materials. So much so that we are eligible for a state rebate. I cannot tell you how much we appreciate the quality of their work. If the quality of the roof is any indication I will be thrilled with the results of their paint work on my home as well. Thanks George!

The work was completed smoothly within two days. The old roof was removed, the roofing base was checked/repaired, and then prepared for new composite roofing. The George Parks team was very efficient and professional. The removal process was thorough and all was clean after the job was done. The end result looks great.

The work was completed in a timely manner, and George and Danny were extremely capable in terms of coordinating the work to be done, often giving helpful advice in order to achieve the greatest result. They were responsive to our needs and their team gave their full attention to the smallest of details. Their foreman, Jose, has an exceptional eye and it was a pleasure to work with him. Fast, efficient, with all attended work -- permits, inspection schedules, moving of external wiring, trimming of trees -- performed by company. The result is a clean, completely effective roof that has shown no evidence of leaks after several rainstorms.

Sent an email to George Parks with a picture (February 21st), asking for advice. None came-- as a matter of fact-- my message was just ignored. I do understand that my problem might not be their department. However, as a professional roofer with knowledge of putting on a whole roof, a message of acknowledgment and a referral to other professions should not be that difficult. By comparison, Steve of Accurate Roofing who received my email on March 5th, 4.21 pm, responded at same day 5.31 pm with a telephone no. of another company, saying that their company only performs whole-roof projects and wishing me luck dealing with my problem. At this moment, I don't need a new roof yet. But I have rental property, plus my own house, when I do need a new one, the choice between Accurate Roofing and George Parks is pretty clear.

We were referred to George Parks Roofing and Painting by a friend who used them to replace a roof. When we looked at their reviews on Angie's List, we realized they also had great ratings for painting and we wanted that done, too, so it was a good fit. George was prompt, responsive and communicative. His crew was also prompt and they cleaned up the worksite at the end of every day. We were very pleased with the quality of their work and their professionalism. We've already referred George to at least six other families.

Due to extreme weather conditions I decided to have George Parks do preventive maintenance on the roof he installed over 3.5 years ago. The original installation was superbly done as was this job. He was meticulous as usual. I feel very secure about the integrity of my roof. He and his worker were extremely friendly and explained everything while showing me photos of before and after.

After receiving bids from two other companies, I received a bid from Chris. He was prompt in answering my call to the George Parks number, the first contractor to answer to do so. He listened to my questions, was informative in his answers, and he scheduled an appointment for the same day. When he arrived at my home, he was extremely professional, handed me his business identification, and then climbed on the roof. With photos, he explained what the damage was, and made his suggestions for the repair and gave me the price for their services. Once I agreed, he called his scheduling supervisor and was able to schedule my job for the next day. I was delighted. The crew arrived on time, and they finished the job within the time Chris had mentioned. They were as quiet as roofers can be, and they cleaned up every bit of material. I was so impressed by the entire process! I understand that roofing and painting contractors are specifically licensed and insured, a fact I didn't know before. I highly recommend George Parks Roofing & Painting and would definitely use them again! They got the job done and put my mind at ease.

Fantastic experience, pleasure to work with.

I was very happy with George Parks, especially considering how he compared with another company I had contacted for an estimate a week earlier (they came out, looked at the garage, and said they'd e-mail me an itemized estimate, but I never heard from them again!). George is very nice and professional. He went up to roof to take a look; I noticed that he measured the roof, something the other man had not done. The garage has an adjacent guest house. That roof is also old, but we have not had problems with the roof leaking. The other company had tried to push me into repairing that too, by saying it had a worse problem than the garage. George said the guest house also needed fixing, but didn't push me into getting that roof repaired too. He gave me the estimate and dropped off a contract for us to sign a day or so later. This contract specified what would be done, no extra charges unless there were more than 2 layers of roofing to remove -- in that case it would be $500 more per layer (it turned out we didn't have to pay extra). After George picked up the signed contract, his crew of five men came out and completed the job in one day, including replacement of rotten wood in that corner of the roof. They also did a thorough cleanup of the back yard. George showed us a photo of the completed roof; it looked very neatly done compared to the roofing that had been done by the previous owner. George had come out to do the estimate on a Monday, and the job was completed the following Monday.

George ultimately couldn't perform the work, because it was more gutter-related, but he spent 30 minutes advising me about what to do and recommended a gutter specialist. Took his time and was extremely pleasant and helpful, despite realizing that the job was not right for him. I highly recommend.

I cannot imagine it have going any better. I also cannot imagine ever using another roofer as long as George is around. handling everything like a pro, product, installation, permits. the installers are amazing as well. Thank you to George and team for handling such a dirty messy hot job so perfectly and checking on the job every day to make sure nothing was missed.

Outstanding work by George Parks Roofing. I have a beautiful new tile roof on my house and great looking garage and balconies. George's hard working crew arrived promptly on time each day and were always polite, courteous and tidy. I was impressed by their considerable skills and the resulting high quality work. George Jr. is a conscientious and caring man who came by the house daily to observe the crew's work and answer any questions I had. He made sure the permit and inspection were completed. The crew did a thorough job clearing debris. The project started and finished on time and the price was fair and reasonable.
