George Jr returned my calls and came to the house with in one day to do the estimate. He followed up with me several times about my paint choices and we were able to start the project less than a week after the estimate. The workers were courteous, friendly and good workers. The entire job was completed within 3 days and the house looked great. There was only a little bit of foliage damage, all recoverable and they did a great job of masking the windows and other things they didn't want to paint. They also did repair to the wood and stucco. The extra paint was left with me to use for touch ups in the future. A good project with no hitches.

The whole process could not have been smoother. I had obtained several bids and selected George because he had a fair price (neither the lowest nor the highest) and because he would be responsible for both the roofing and painting - so I would not have to coordinate the two activities. On Wednesday May 31 I left a message telling George that I wanted him to do the work. He got back to me that day. On Friday June 1 he came by and we signed the contract. On Monday June 4 the work started and on Friday June 8 it was completed. We had discussed tile and paint colors on Friday when we signed the contract and on Monday morning George came by at 8 a.m. or so and brought tile and paint samples. He applied the paint samples to the house so that I could see how they looked. George then went over the overall schedule indicating times at which he needed inputs from me such as tile selection, paint color selection etc. He then went over the plan for the day and the work was soon underway - the roof was off by early afternoon. Each day George came by at about 8 a.m. and went over the plan for the day. He did not remain on-site but returned several times throughout the day. At the end of the day he would check in and provide status. He would also check in at other times during the day (I am retired so was generally in most of the day) to show me how things were going - e.g . when there were sufficient tiles on the roof so that I could get a good perspective on what it would look like. At the end of the each day things were cleaned up and put away so that the place was in a reasonable state.George was highly involved throughout the work and I think that its completion in the span of one week attests to his planning and attention to detail. Lots of things could throw off the schedule: selection, ordering and delivery of the tile; paint selection; arranging for fabrication of the spark arrestor; ordering and delivery of other supplies; permit and inspection scheduling. All were accomplished without a hitch.George always made clear that he was committed to my satisfaction. He was continually encouraging me to look at things, to ask questions, and to give comments. He was very responsive to the few minor concerns I expressed over the course of the work. At completion we did a complete walk-around and he emphasized that I should call if I discovered any problems. The neighbor was so impressed with George's painting crew, he had George paint his house immediately after mine. George made it a point to see me the week after to see if I had discovered any problems. I was very pleased with the whole experience and with George specifically.

George Parks was very responsive to my phone request for an inspection and estimate. George Jr. came out and was very professional and thorough in taking care of the problem. He was also very neat in cleaning up.

George Parks was very responsive to my initial call, which I appreciated because I needed to get the work done before more rain showed up, plus wanted to complete it during Holiday downtime. Since it was unplanned, I was interested in my options, repair vs. replacement. They gave me a very honest summary of the pros, cons and price options so I could make a decision. After giving me an initial estimate, they were willing to negotiate a better price to the point where I could get it replaced instead of just patched. They also proactively noticed a problem area on the main house roof, and threw in the additional patch job there at a fair price.

I had a very good experience. I am a person that likes to ask a lot of questions and try a lot of paint samples. George was great about explaining the difference in paint quality and finishes. He also was very good about taking the time to help me decided between the paint choices I narrowed down. (I'm so glad we went with the Swiss Coffee he recommended for the trim and not the ultra white.) My siding was not the highest quality and I was pleasantly surprised by how good the wood repair and painting turned out. They couldn't perform miracles, but the end result was much nicer than I anticipated and the noticeably damaged wood looks good. There was a problem with replacing some of the thin, horizontal accent strips of wood along the house. Originally George thought he could get matching wood, but it turned out that it would have to be specially milled for a high price. He more than made up for it by taking the time to move some of the original strips from the less noticeable parts of the house to the more noticeable parts. He then replaced the moved strips and gave me discount on some of the wood replacement. The net result is the accent wood looks good, the replacements don't stand out, and I am very happy he went through the extra effort to make me satisfied. Because of the type of wood on my house and concern for color, George put on three coats of the color paint. His guys back-rolled it after spraying. The extra time they took really made a difference; the result is great. The only things I think could have been done better was the taping job. There was a few spots where the taping was a tad off and they had to clean some paint off the vinyl sidings of the windows and I had break up a little excess paint where the garage met the weather stripping. However, given how much cheaper they were compared to other estimates, I certainly think I received excellent quality for the money and I doubt I would have gotten much better results (or maybe not even as good of results) if I went with somebody else costing one or two thousand dollars more. George was great about coming by at the end of the job and touching up everything I pointed out. I liked that he was willing to do work alongside his guys when it came to some finishing touches and making sure I am satisfied. He made sure to let me know if there was something missed or a touch up was needed that I could call him and let him know. I would certainly have George back to do painting again and recommend him to anyone needing their home painted.

George Parks Jr. was excellent to work with. He was very good about following up and seemed very reasonable. I am a consumer that has a lot of questions and really wants to learn about what is being done to my home. George was extremely patient in answering my questions on everything from wood replacement, to difference between shingle systems, to drip edges, to how flashing works. He even put me in touch with his roof supplier so I could go and see large sample of different shingle choices. I've waited to give this report until after a couple good rains. I have noticed no leaking. I had previously had two very small leaks at the edge of my garage. After a cursory look, it seems like everything is dry. If for some reason they reappear, I have full confidence that that George would honor his warranty and take care of it. His guys did leave an antenna we had agreed to remove on the roof, but I'm sure George would have been willing to come back and take care of it had I called. (They had uninstalled it, so it was an easy thing to remove myself). Otherwise, I can't think of anything that could have been done better; my roof is keeping me dry and it looks great. I really feel that George kept my satisfaction at the forefront and I would have him do work for me again and recommend him to friends and family.

Based on his responsiveness and professionalism, George will be the first I call for an estimate the next time I need roofing or painting work.

George Parks first responded to a request for an estimate to repair or replace our wood shingle roof in July of this year. He was prompt and thorough, providing us with a video which validated the need for a decision regarding the very visible wear and damage. He gave us an estimate for both scenarios, repair and replacement. We received a few other estimates at the time and found that George was the only contractor who was proposing the possibility that we could be confident that a repair would serve us well for a time. Since we felt that we were not able to proceed to a complete new roof at this particular time, we decided that a repair, with the one-year warranty on the work which George offered, was most likely what we needed to do. We delayed making our decision, and George was thoughtful and responsive throughout, keeping in touch by e-mail, which ultimately brought us to make the choice to move ahead in October. He delivered a contract for our signing, and set out to specify a date for the work, which was very timely. George supervised the two workers who came on the appointed day, and communicated with me several times to keep me updated on the progress. They were very neat and efficient, and we are very happy that we chose to use George Parks for this work.

George Parks, Jr. came out and gave me an estimate the day after I called him. I accepted his bid on a Saturday, he came out to sign the contract on a Sunday and started the job on that Monday by power washing the exterior of the house. He let it thoroughly dry for a day and started the prep process on Wednesday. I was very impressed with how hard all the crew worked every day. I was in a rush to get the job done and George respected that. The job was done very nicely. Everything was tidied up at the end of each day. George would check in with me at least twice a day to make sure that I was happy with the way things were going. He was also very respectful of my schedule and did the job efficiently, quickly and properly. I will tell all my homeowner friends about this company! When the time comes to get my roof done, George will be the man I call! Thanks for the great job, George!

When I called to confirm the coupon on October 5 and attempted to schedule a time for them to come out, I was told by the receptionist that the "schedulers" were on vacation until October 12 and they couldn't even set a time to make an appointment. The receptionist was nice enough to say that someone would call me back by the end of the business day to see if they could do something. No call ever came. Spoke to George on the morning of October of the 7th who confirmed that no appointments were being taken. I have been in business for myself, and I have never heard of a company not being able to "schedule" an appointment. I understand small companies can get overwhelmed at times, and may need to push appointments out, but not being able to even schedule one is baffling.

From start to finish a first class company. I called George Parks Roofing and Painting and got George Parks on the line right away, George, Jr. that is. He came out and gave us an onsite inspection and wrote up a convincing estimate on the spot. His estimate was in the middle of the four bids I gathered. He kept in touch, but was not pushy, just confident that he was giving us a good deal. He was. So we picked him. He used premium paint. He helped with color selection, even drove us around to look at houses in our neighborhood. George powerwashed the house from top to bottom and let it dry for a day. A crew of three painters arrived early. They were professional and courteous, and kept workspaces cleaned up at the end of the day. They worked meticulously and steadily. Sometimes they used power sprayers, they had two of them, sometimes they got out the brushes, like on the front railings. They did a really beautiful job and finished painting the house in 3 1/2 days. I asked if they would clear out a clogged gutter drainpipe that I was having problems with, and they did that for me too. Very nice people. George did a post-job walk-through with us and had us put a piece of masking tape at each are we had any concern with. He brought the painters back and they touched up and fixed the areas. I noticed a broken roof tile that I thought I had not seen before. George was good about coming back and fixing the broken tile. George was very good about follow-up and making sure the job was completed and we were satisfied.

The jobs went really well. What stands about them was that they seemed very motivated to make me happy. There was a little bit of confusion about the deck where they said one thing and then when they did the job, it was a little bit different. They absolutely went and made me happy. They basically did what needed to happen so that I would be happy. It was evident from everything that they wanted to see me happy.

They did an excellent job and I was very happy. They were very responsive in calling me back and letting me know when they would be here and follow up. It seems to be a small family run company. They cleaned up very well and handled themselves very professionally. I didn’t shop around. I would use them again.

Work was performed every day till finished, no starts/stops or delays.George gave us an idea for partially enclosing our patio that we accepted with no added labor cost, only material cost. George made good in paying for security system repair that his workers had caused a problem with. Most of Georges workers spoke English with was important to us as we only speak English. Overall we are pleased with the project.

These guys did everything right. On the day I was given an estimate, three members of the Parks family showed up. Not to pressure me -- two of them stayed in the car til I had agreed to have the job done -- but after I made the decision to go ahead, it sure was nice meeting the owner and two of his sons. The prep work really impressed me. Their main painter, Victor, spent more than two full days sanding the trim and prepping the house for its first paint job in more than a decade. He and his workers were friendly, considerate and very attentive to any questions/concerns I had during the process. The painting itself seemed to take forever. But that's only because the last people who painted my house rushed through the job. The George Parks people took their time and were so attentive to detail that I couldn't help but be impressed. And after they were done, I got a phone call and a note on my front door saying, "no, we're not done." Victor came back a few days later to do a walk-around inspection, and some additional caulking and touch-up painting. Oh, and in the three days since that final touch-up, three of my neighbors have come by to tell me how much they like the paint job on my house. I've told all of them that if they ever need their houses painted -- and a couple of them really need it NOW hahah -- I would recommend they call George Parks Painting.

They were prompt, clean and courteous, but not as thorough on the first pass. They had to come back to finish the work. The good news is that they did come back to ensure that the work was done right and completed and gave us zero hassles. So, we will use them again in the future and will recommend them to our friends.

George Parks came and gave us an estimate. If it were not a holiday weekend, he would have started the next day. His crew came on the day we asked to start by prepping the house for paint. Sanded, scraped, and repaired all loose/broken surface areas. The next day after they sealed all the windows and doors, they brushed, sprayed, and rolled on our new colors.

No jobs are perfect but their jobs are really excellant. I like their "friendly" and "professional" teamwork. The best, however, is they showed up the following day right after I told them some small spots need touched up. To sum up the overall experience, I am a 100% satisfied customer.

They were thorough, expedient, and kept me informed. I think they gave me a fair price, although make sure you get everything included in the upfront bid. Add-ons can be expensive. They finished the exterior in only three days -- as promised. They also did a great job with clean-up. I'm very pleased with the results.

He has great character and intrigue. He shows up ontime and cleans up real well after he is done. I strongly recommend him.
