***CAUTION*** DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE***** Inner Living did the worst work imaginable. We only found out later that they took billing's from other projects and white labeled them onto ours to make the work seem more expensive. They listened to absolutely none of our instruction, were both disrespectful and not communicative in any way and failed to finish the project, walking away with a lot of our money for work never completed. These are thieves, and I could not caution anyone more away from this hellish experience. Painted over windows, leaks in the roof, missing tiles and chunks out of the wall. Shame on them.

I regret hiring Shannon Michelle. There was extremely poor communication and organization from the beginning. She was hired based on the recommendation of my architect and real estate broker. It took two weeks to get in touch with her after calling her office, but I continued to work with her because of the positive recommendations. Despite having an office, an office phone and an answering machine, she cannot be reached this way. She communicates through text messaging and incomplete responses to e-mails. She was not to purchase any products or materials without my approval, since I did much of the leg work to research and purchase products myself. This was discussed in detail prior to hiring her, but along the way, there was pressure to purchase things through her and it became clear that she was not happy to act as only an design consultant. Although, I did agree that she purchase tile so that she was responsible for the correct amount. Even then she go this incorrect, not accounting for the need for extra/spare tile and getting amounts wrong. She insisted that the tile be decided on and purchased soon, but this was before necessary design planning based on construction limitations was done to correctly assess the amount of tile. This was very unorganized and premature. In the end, I was short on some tile and the additional tile did not match the original color (different lot number). She purchased items that I did not approve. She made design and construction decisions without asking me and that were against my wishes (e.g. type and color of grout, presence or absence of towel bars, arrangement of recessed lighting, ...). A specific example was her deciding and recommending not to put in any recessed lights along the living room wall for art. I had to insist and then cut her out of this conversation. Shannon attempted to pressure me to purchase bathroom and kitchen fixtures through her, which was not per the original discussion and agreement and even when I spent numerous hours researching fixtures and looking through stores without her, checking prices, and ordering and picking up the fixtures on my own. She reversed some decisions that I had made in conjunction with the contractor and the electrician without speaking with me. She gave instructions and guidelines to subcontractors and the contractor without my notification and against my design desires (eg my designing an island with a prep sink versus her instructing the tile subcontractor for his bid that the island had no kitchen sink). In the end, this affected the cost with subcontractors demanding more money for a project based on communications with the designer that were not approved and based on design that was contrary to my design and discussions with the designer, contractor and architect. I don't know if this was an attempt to negotiate a lower price with a subcontractor by being misleading or just a complete mistake, overstepping her bounds. She has very poor communication skills and is very difficult to reach. Her project organization was poor. Despite asking several times for a written description or drawing of her ideas, she did not provide this. She seems to keep her design ideas in her head and does not write these down to communicate with clients. While I had 1 1/2 - 2 days off during the work week and was free in the evenings and on weekends, it was extremely difficult to speak to or meet with Shannon. As noted, she was hired only for consultation work and not administrative work, which, in the end, she confirmed that she was not doing construction administration with the contractor and architect. Yet, she billed for hours spent doing construction administration with the contractor and the architect. This of course was when she made decisions that were against my wishes. I would not recommend using Shannon if you have any desire to have a say in your project other than the overall general concept. Basically, I can not recommend her at all.

They are extremely professional. They owner has a great undertsanding of style. She is top notch and has the ability to get things done.Their prices are very reasonable.

She is extremely competent. She understands what she does very well. She basically serves as a quasi general contractor on a large house renovation. I would recommend her without any concerns.

Shannon steeped in mid project when we were having some issues with general contractor and coordinated major home renovation project. She is personable,decisive, knowledgable and has an amazing design eye

Shannon basically functioned as the conduit with the general contractor as well as the designer . She is exceptionally talented on all aspects of construction,design. She has an exceptional personality and is able to keep a project moving on schedule.
