Lisa Marie is a miracle worker. My husband gave me a gift certificate for four hours of organizing services. I figured we'd do some straightening up, but didn't think it was enough time to do anything really substantive. I was wrong. We worked on my finished garage, which was a cluttered mess that made our lives less efficient, and that I desperately wanted to clean up but was way too overwhelmed to start on. Lisa Marie was quick, efficient, decisive, and creative, and was able to quickly cut through the details that I tend to get bogged down in when doing this kind of project. She had great intuition about how to carve out different spaces that had discrete functions, and how to make the best use of things we already had. What started out as a cluttered mess that I hated going into is now a super-functional space with separate areas for all kinds of storage (each with its own space), a home office, and a work area for woodworking and craft projects. We now use it all the time, it makes our lives more efficient, and we actually enjoy going in there. And it's enabling me to get other things done that were delayed or more difficult before because of the mess. So those four hours have given us a marked and sustained bump in our quality of life. Unbelievable. Lisa Marie was also personable, fun, responsive and easy to work with. I'd love to work with her again in the future.

Lisa Marie is very warm, intuitive and practical.... I dubbed her 'Poppins' (as in Mary Poppins) that first day :) I was just coming out of a very difficult time in my life and felt overwhelmed by the mountain of tasks before me. My bedroom had been my world and was now filled to the brim with books, bills, stacks of papers, excess furniture, bursting closet, over flowing drawers and dust. Lisa Marie suggested moving some of the big furniture pieces around in a way that I hadn't thought of before. It really opened the room up! Within a few hours I had a new relaxed space with closet and drawers more organized then they'd ever been and a pile of unwanted stuff ready for donation at the front door. The guestroom came next w/ many great suggestions and efficient organizing by Poppins. She made it fun and we had some laughs. I worked through the rest of the house w/ ease , knowing Lisa was just a phone call away. I called on Lisa Marie to help me get the business side of my vacation rental together. She is much more computer savvy then I and was able to problem solve and get me up and running online. We had a lot of fun putting the final touches on the rentals and staging them. The pictures she took of them are beautiful!! I am so very grateful to have met Lisa Marie 'Poppins' and highly recommend her services to anyone :)
Description of Work: Lisa Marie is awesome !! I've called on her services several times and am sooo happy to have found her. The first time we met , she helped me completely reorganize my crowded, cluttered bedroom and later the overflowing guestroom. Both were teetering to hoarder status. Lisa Marie helped me with my new business venture, vacation rentals. She offered solid insights, suggestions. She helped with the advertizing, staging and took photographs of both units.

I felt she was a housewife who likes to empty closets and drawers and found a way to do it for a living. There was no thought behind anything. She was late several times. She wanted cash and her receipt was a hand written piece of paper with no contact information, phone or address what so ever.she is a nice person. She is an honest person. But hire her knowing that your closets might look good for in-laws visiting, it's only temporary.
Description of Work: She is good at putting things away from sight, and seemingly organizing things, as if out of town guests were coming over and it was more for show, and yes looked neat. Sometimes she went really fast and stored things that worked for her eshtetics or what she thought was practical, without asking me. I felt I was slowing her down if I questioned something.I just recently found some papers I had been searching for months, neatly put away in a box with other papers which had nothing to do with them. A few times I found things by accident, not because I had figured out where best to store something.Most important she is not an organizer. She did not help me organize, learn how to do it for the future, or figure out what was best for me.After working with someone else, who is not listed here, there was no comparison. She listened to my needs, helped me figure out a routine, gave me homework (reasonable) for the next time so we moved ahead....and she charged exactly the same fee.

I've been told that you can't please everyone and this report is proof of such.... I worked very hard for the Member. During our 1st appointment, I organized a lot of paperwork, some of which she instructed me to put aside in a box for further attention, did some filing, and sorted & created a filing system for various years of tax receipts. The second time I visited I was told that we would not address the paperwork but instead work on de-cluttering a spare bedroom/office which was unable to be used because of all the clutter & disorganization. By the end of this 4 hour session, the room was completely uncluttered and ready for use and we moved on to organize the guest bathroom. I also volunteered to take all the accumulated trash out, and take a large load of donations o the Goodwill at no charge which took approximately 30 minutes. I also took the time to mail the receipt to the client. Most of my clients do consider me a miracle worker but I can't solve everyone's disorganization in a couple of visits. I have worked for 100's of clients and feel confident that the transformation made to the spare bedroom / office was significant and that I did bring order by developing a functional system to the client's paperwork. It is a shame that this client chose to focus on the other aspects of her disorganization rather than giving me credit for the positive changes I brought to her life and for all of my hard work. It's true, I am a wife & a mother but I come to work as a professional with a lot of enthusiasm, talent and insight to help others improve their quality of living by bringing organization into their lives. And most of all, I am very passionate about organizing and I love helping people and I think all the other reports gathered here on Angie's List are a testament to the services I provide my clients.

Description of Work: I was so lucky meeting Lisa Marie! She helped me so much during my move to a new home / neighborhood. The areas that she helped organize were endless... the moving company staff, co-ordinating new utility installations, organizing all the rooms in the house including the children's rooms and advising housekeeper and handymen. I am so thankful for all of her help!!

Lisa Marie took a cluttered uncomfortable space and created a functional and welcoming office/guest room space. Starting in the closet she completely rearranged the space. Items in the closet that get used are easy to access and while those items which are rarely used are neatly tucked away. She organized bookshelves so that items are accessible as well as neatly displayed. She worked continuously for 4 hours and we accomplished nearly everything that was needed. (I have some additional filing to take care of, but with a better system in place.) She is easy to work with and has lots of suggestions for how to better use space.
Description of Work: Lisa Marie helped to organize a shared office/guest room and assisted with creating a filing system for personal documents. She reorganized a closet and offered solutions for further space management. She was able to create much more space for additional storage.

I would highly recommend her to anybody! She worked with the things that I already had and didn't suggest that I had to buy anything extra. She didn't need any extra direction and took initiative. SHe was very nice, pleasant and helpful to work with. She was also not judgmental. We initally sat down and we made a plan and she was very methodical. I really liked that she follows up by texting me within a couple of months to see if I need her help again.
Description of Work: I hired Easy Living By Lisa Marie back in October to organize my classroom, home office and my garage. Lisa came again about 2 weeks ago.

I am a kindergaren teacher (new to the grade) with a mound of new work to be organized. My workroom was stacked with papers and pending projects for my kinder kids. Once again Lisa Marie came in, went to work and by the end of the day my work space was clear, complete with organizers for post-its, tape, etc. The papers are stored in plastic bins each marked with the appropriate day of the week for that work. Lisa Maria's suggestions are always on target. It is amazing to watch her magic as she creates organized space out of a daunting pile of papers, etc. I can't wait for our next meeting. We spent time sorting papers, tossing , and creating a comfortable and workable space. I cannot say enough. Lisa Marie is fun to work with and makes getting organized fun.

My house was a mess after a recent move to a smaller house. I needed a home office and Lisa Marie came and created anamazing space. We talked for about 45 minutes and she was able to work out a plan. We immediately tackled my files which were in total chaos. By the end of the session, my files were in order, old papers were tossed and I had a great sense of relief. We went online and ordered a desk that would fit my needs. When it I arrived , I couldn't wait to call Lisa Marie. She came over put all my files in the desk, organized all the drawers , helped me with decorating ideas. A few weeks later, I started work. Ann Marie new my garage was a disaster, so I left her my key and when I came from work I opened the garage door and I couldn't believe what I saw. I was thrilled ! I could even fit my car in.I don't know how she does what she does, but it's truly amazing. Lisa Marie is very kind and so competent. Tomorrow she is coming back for round 4!. I can't wait!. She does maintenance of things for me on an ongoing regular basis; it is not just fixing things that are in disarray. She is efficient and patient. She is current with my family business related matters. She is good at putting systems in place where there are none. She is also proactive and easy to get along with. She is just amazing. She charges per hour and seems to be reasonably priced. I don't have anything to compare her prices with, but I get my money’s worth.

She had terrific ideas, was extremely friendly and thorough, and worked very quickly. In just 4 hours she helped us turn a virtually unusable space into a wonderfully organized, airy, and open indoor/outdoor space that we now really enjoy.

Lisa Marie was the perfect combination of organizational ability, creativity, industriousness and understanding. She is punctual, hardworking, supportive and easy to work with and I highly recommend her. I plan to continue to utilize Lisa Marie’s organizing services to keep me organized. I always feel better after she has worked her magic!
Description of Work: Purge and organize garage. The de-cluttering was done in a systematic fashion creating piles to donate, sell and keep. Lisa Marie was then able to create ample new storage space for me to utilize. This job took about 8 – 10 hours and went very smoothly. Lisa Marie also created an improved, functional home office with a user friendly, filing system in approximately 10 hours. Even my husband is impressed with my ability to locate and hand over files in seconds flat! Lisa Marie is also great at handling the mundane “to do’s” that pile up and problem solving with complicated billing issues.

Lisa was great! She arrived on time and in about half a day as we had discussed over the phone we got through pretty much everything, leaving me with just some remedial filing and a very manageable stack of files to deal with. All other important paperwork was identified and put in its place. Everything else was either discarded or shredded (I have my own home office shredder) and I got back at least half of my closet space along with a clear floor and organized desktop and book shelves. Lisa was a pleasure to work with -- persistent in getting things properly grouped, asking the right questions about items, careful and respectful about things that appeared to be private or personal and helping everywhere whether it was shredding, stacking, or filing and offering her own useful tips and suggestions in a friendly and collaborative manner while taking into account my own needs and objectives for the room. With my desktop and room cleared I find myself spending more time, more productively, in my newly organized space.
Description of Work: I had a home office that was badly overrun mostly by paper files that were in boxes, on shelves, on my desk, and strewn on the floor. The closet space in the office was bursting with electronics and miscellaneous household stuff and memorabilia. In short, it had become an unusable paper disaster area totally unconducive to work. I was looking for someone who could work with me to sort through the important business and personal paperwork and other stuff and set me up to have a workable space and system going forward.

I have had Lisa at my home a number of times and she quickly sized up the areas that were most out of control and dived into them with me beside her. She always checked with me before she moved anything or rearranged anything. I cannot recommend her enough!
Description of Work: Lisa is fantastic!! In addition to helping me organize a home office which looked like the Black Hole of Calcutta she also acted as a personal assistant when needed, waiting at my home for repairmen, etc. Lisa is conscientious and has an attitude of "get it done" which is positively catchy!!!

Lisa started with the obvious by suggesting things to move out and then re-arranging for a cleaner look. She did this systematically throughout the job.
Description of Work: Lisa Marie helped me organize my library of almost 1000 books. She also helped me rearrange my dining room/office and living room. In fact, she did all the heavy work. In the process we moved many books and some furniture to the garage so that the finished job resulted in a much cleaner and neater place.

Everything went very well. Lisa Marie was punctual and professional, made trips to Goodwill to donate items, purchased stoarge baskets and bins on her own initiative, and organized our home beautifully. The labels in the linen closet and other areas ensure that our houskeeper keeps properly sized linens, sheets, pillowcases, etc. stored in the proper places. We are now finding (and using) things we had forgotten for years, and have a clean, peaceful environment. This is a luxury, to be sure, but one that we enjoy every day.

I would highly recommend Lisa Marie to anyone who wants help moving into and organizing a new home or apartment. I moved from Indianapolis, Indiana to Santa Monica California and Lisa Marie helped me every step along the way. Lisa Marie made moving across the country so much easier and less stressful for me because of her attention to detail, friendly service and hard work ethic. Any question or request I had, she answered promptly and with a smile on her face. It was so wonderful when I arrived at my new apartment, and she had made sure everything was already moved in, organized and unpacked. She also fixed my bike, got my cable and Internet working, and put fresh groceries in my refrigerator. She made the apartment look beautiful, too! She met the movers when they arrived and organized my furniture, hung my pictures, folded my clothes and organized my closet. She called and met with Time Warner to arrange for high speed Internet and cable to be working when I arrived. Overall, Lisa Marie made the apartment "turn-key" ready when I arrived. I moved from Indianapolis, Indiana to Santa Monica California, and Lisa Marie made sure my apartment was ready to live in when I arrived.

Lisa Marie has a very sweet demeanor, but is also "no-nonsense". In a very friendly, non-judgmental way, she will ask permission to dig into a pile of papers, for example, and will quickly make order of it. She also has a sense of humor, which is a good thing since one might feel a little ashamed while old stuff is finally being taken care of.
Description of Work: Lisa Marie has come to my home office a total of six times now between the beginning of 2006 and this past week. She has done everything from "dump out" drawers full of misc. office supplies and create order to them to make file folders needed but never made for my home-based business. She also makes phone calls for me, the dreaded or neglected ones such as "cancel my subscription" or "pay this credit".
