CLASSIC TILE and FLOORING

I spoke with Bruce who, I believe is one of the owners of the store. He showed us tiles that we could use for an outdoor kitchen countertop and bench. He gave us a few sample tiles to take home and consider what we wanted to do. My wife and I liked them and authorized our contractor to purchase the tiles. The entire purchase was fully paid for in advance. Although Bruce had warned us that there might be some very minor color variation in the tiles, it turned out that, once received, the color variation was considerably more than what we expected. Although the majority (60%?) of the tiles were approximately the same color as our samples, there were many tiles that were in a different color family entirely. It wasn't a look that we wanted and, with a little bit of nervousness about returns, about restocking fees, we returned to Classic Tile to see how we could address this problem. Almost immediately, Bruce acknowledged the problem and offered to either try and find a solution - we could wait a few weeks when the next batch of tiles was manufactured and hope that the color variations were not so great - or he would give us a full refund. We did not want to wait for the next tiles to be manufactured and we received a refund for our returned purchase. Transactions with vendors, particularly when there are problems, can often be difficult and sometimes even confrontational. Classic Tile & Flooring is an extremely professional company that stands behind the products they sell and treats their customers as they should be treated: Fairly, Honestly, Directly and Professionally. Even though we did not wind up completing the transaction with Bruce and with Classic Tile and Flooring, I will look forward to returning there and to doing business with the company in the future.
