+ 1 moreWe found them online when we needed to get rid of a few thousand books belonging mostly to my brother. He just finished grad school and was moving long distance from LA, and didn't want the cost and hassle of moving a bunch of books he probably wouldn't use anymore. Thrift stores and most libraries didn't want the hassle of picking up that many books either, and we were going to have to pay to have them hauled off. They were good books in good shape, but my brother was also kind of a hoarder. Anyway, we found Books for People online. It took a couple days for them to contact us back, but once they did they made an appointment and came right out and picked up all the books for free. Saved us a few hundred dollars in hauling fees. We did have to box them up. Otherwise they were very professional and fast. Our family would use them again no problem.
Description of Work: This charity picks up books for free. They came out and picked up a few thousands books that were in boxes from us.
