The service went very well overall. The first set of windows were not the right size, however, there weren’t any problems with them getting the right size. The work did take longer than what was initially thought and we weren’t complete sure when the new windows would arrive. Once they got the right windows, they installed them and everything went well. We were happy with the work!

The Sale person was very professional and incredibly informative. The only reason we did not go with them was that the price estimate was a little higher than contractor we ended up going with.

I was trying to get information on their products and ability to replace all my windows including a 144" wide x 80" tall hole for patio doors. The lady on the phone seemed very confused and unable to provide any details, and w/o knowing the details she stalled completely and said they don't do that size and I had to stop her from hanging up. I asked about more details of their products, then she requested that one of the guys they dealt with would call me back. Very awkward phone call - Not going to spend that kind of money there.

Workers were prompt and professional. All windows installed without any problem.

Everything went well as described above. The one and only issue was noticed by them and was taken care of with great care. There is also a lifetime warranty.

They were excellent. The guy who came out was great and they gave me a really good quote. The problem was that I had bars on my windows and they don’t do bars and that’s why I didn’t use them. They don’t do both. They would do the windows and I would have to contract someone else to take the bars down and put them back on. I used another company to do the job. They were extremely professional and the only reason I didn’t go with them was because of the bars. If it had been a home it would have been different but this is an apartment building and not the best part of town so they couldn’t go couple of days without having bars on the windows. He was having to deal with two companies and I didn’t have the time to deal with it. If we missed them and the windows were out a couple of days then if something happened then I would have had liability issues. That was the only reason I didn’t go with them and they understood. I understood why they didn’t do bars because of some legal issues for them and they don’t have anybody on the staff that does that. We had several conversations and the quality of windows that they had was fine. They even agreed to lower the price to help me compensate so that I could contract with some else to do the bars. It was more of a legal issue and timing. It had nothing to do with them, they were great. I called one day and they came out the next. They followed up regularly with me and I was the slow point and it took me time to figure out what I wanted to do and I talked to 5 different companies. They were very professional. I felt like they were like family. Everyone from the person who answers the call to the person who comes and the technical person who came out were all very professional. They answered the questions in a way I could understand. They were on time, in fact he was early and I was late. If not for the bar issue they would have done the job.

The gentleman was pretty nice but their estimate was on the high side and that was a little much for me.

The overall experience with Brother Home Improvement was very positive. The windows enhanced the look of home as well as its value and the benefits of the weather sealing and sound proofing are very obvious. I recommend anyone looking to get new windows call Curt - 714-476-3717.

The sales representative Curtis was very informative and was able to answer all our questions. He was certainly not aggressive in his sales approach and basically let the product sell itself. My wife's parents had their windows replaced by Brothers a couple of years earlier and are still happy with the purchase so we knew their window products and installation was good. After selecting Brothers, it took about a month for the windows to be constructed and delivered. The installation took two days. The installers were first class and and clearly take pride in their work. The windows and the framing that was installed over the old aluminum window frames looks great. One screen was accidentially not shipped and Brothers customer service was very prompt in having it delivered and installed. if the occasion arises we will definitely use Brothers for windows again.

Although this is my sister's home I have had good experiences with Angie's List so I researched and contacted 3 businesses that specialize in windows. I knew the cost would be more expensive but I wanted a company that built their own and had an established history. The decision was made to go with Brothers Home Improvement in big part because the Sales Rep, Curtis Hodding, worked so hard at explaining in detail the product, history of the company and the state requirements necessary to do business and guarantee their product. A good price was negotiated to compete with the other offers received. It was not the least expensive but the quality is outstanding, plus there is a fair lifetime guarantee. The meeting with Curtis took place 9/22/10 and the work was completed within 8 hours on 12/6/10. Depending on the order it can take 6-8 weeks to schedule installation. Communication with company representatives was easy and response timely. My sister wanted to add her input which is the following. "This is to let you know that I had recently had new Brother?s Windows installed in my home (Dec.6th.) and could not have been more pleased not only with the quality of the windows, but the quality of work done by the 3 gentlemen that installed them. Amir (I do hope that is the correct spelling of his name), Josh, and Brandon. They were on time, and were very prompt in starting their work. Their teamwork was extraordinary. What was also impressive was the great cleanup after the installations were finished, I couldn?t even find a wayward nail! Another person that impressed me was Kelly at the Sacramento office. She was very courteous, and took her time to make sure that she answered any questions I had regarding the time of appointment, and concerns I had regarding the possibility of rain. When you have people working for you such as these, I do hope you will recognize their contributions to the reputation of Brothers." There was some follow-up work that was scheduled for January. It was minor. A piece of tile was replaced in the bathroom when the original was accidently cracked, and the plastic lock on the screen door was not fitting properly so that was replaced too. When my sister called to inquire she was told that Brandon had reported it so it was in the system. That work was done as promised. My sister and her family are so impressed by the difference in outside noise and the heat maintained in the home. This was a sound investment. In following I took advantage of the half price subsrciption to Angie's List offered in December as an extra gift for my sister.

we got an estimate from two companies and went with Brothers because their product seemed better. they then measured the windows, and installed them 3 weeks later. everything was done on time and correctly. probably the most professional company we have dealt with while updating our home. would definitely recommend them to friends.

The sales rep was pretty pushy and did not know the ins and outs of their installation process to respond directly to several of my questions. This did not give me confidence to consider them further. He stated being on commission, another big turn off, and gave me the feeling he was more interested in making the sale then customer service.

The salesperson met us for the initial estimate, and he was punctual, informative, and accomodating of our schedules. We were impressed with the quality of the demo windows he showed, and with his willingness to meet our wants and needs. We told him of our desire to downsize the living room window and upsize the master bedroom windows, which he told us they would do, but they would have to charge a construction fee for those services. When we asked what condition the walls/stucco would be in after we downsized the living room window, he told us that it wouldn't look perfect, and that we'd have to re-paint and re-texture to make it match, but that it would be built up to the bottom of the window. Based on that information, we agreed to the pricing and paid a deposit. The next step was to schedule the measurement, which we wanted to do ASAP since it takes 4-6 weeks to get the windows manufactured and shipped and we had shutters that we were installing as well. There was a mix up with the measurement scheduling, which put us back an additional week. Once the windows were ready, they scheduled the installation over two days. The downsized living room window was installed during the first day. The 12" gap in the wall between the bottom of the old window and the bottom of the new window was built up on the inside, but not on the outside (it was covered with black plastic). My understanding from the salesperson was that both the inside and outside would be built up, and all we'd have to do would be to re-texture and re-paint to match the existing walls. When I raised this concern with them, they told me that I misunderstood and that they never build up the outstide. After going back and forth with them, I told them that the end product wasn't what I expected, that my understanding was that the construction fees they charged went toward both the interior and exterior build-up and that I wouldn't pay the entire amount due. They called me back a couple of days later and asked that I send them an estimate to have a handyman finish the work, which I did. They had also put a gash in one of our nightstands while installing one of the bedroom windows. I gave them an estimate for the handyman and to repair the nightstand. After 2-3 weeks, they agreed to discounting me the cost of the handyman and nightstand repair. At this time, I told them of a small tear I found in one of the screens. They referred me to their warranty department, which I haven't heard back from yet. Overall, the windows are good quality, are easy to open/close and look good from the outside, however I found the installation to be somewhat sloppy (some the interior window frames were scuffed, damage to the nightstand, small tear in one of the screens), and the organization to be relatively unresponsive beyond the initial sale.

This is a family owned and operated business that manufacture their own windows. One home visit to take measurements and provide pricing. The price was $1,000 less (product & installation) than the first vendor that came to my home. Installers were extremely pleasant and polite, and were extremely meticulous with the installation -- even thoroughly cleaning the glass before leaving. Old windows and all debris was removed from my property. Within the 45-days prior to the window installation, I had my condo freshly painted, and added a chair rail in room with the sliding door. There was absolutely NO DAMAGE to the fresh paint, etc. These are retrofit vinyl, double paned windows, and function perfectly. The windows are covered by a lifetime guarantee, and qualify for the current federal tax credit. I love these windows! My neighbor got these windows about 3 years ago and are still very pleased with them.

They were a little bit more expensive than what we wanted. They were very good at everything, though.

Curt came to bid on replacement windows. He was prompt and courteous. He had samples of a Brothers brand window and another unknown brand to show me the positives and negatives of their brand vs the other brand. It seemed like a good product and the price seemed decent according to my other bids and research. He added a couple of discounts too which surprised me and made the cost even more attractive. We haven't decided yet if we will actually do the window replacements, as we have other home improvements to consider too. But I think I would choose this company when we are ready to make the committment.

The sales agent was responsive and patient. The crew that came out to measure the windows were respectful and answered all our questions. The scheduling center that calls once the windows are complete were also very responsive and accomodating. It was a great experience from start to finish and the windows really look great! The actual installation was very fast. The price above includes permit fees that we agreed to pay ($200+)

Sales people were responsive but not too pushy. Explained the product, which they manufacture themselves. Installation was on time and clean. Very happy, used them again for a rental property.

We really liked their product. We liked that it was a family business. The windows were very competently installed. We haven't had any problems with them.

We got estimates from 3 companies we found on Angie's list. One company had noticeably better constructed windows than Brothers and the third company but the quote was twice as much and the extra quality did not seem important enough to justify the expense. The choice between Brothers and the third company was based on a number of more or less minor factors such as Brothers was smaller and seemed more personal. Michael was the contact person and was accomodating when city fire codes necessitated changes in the type of two of the windows and the addition of a special coating. After dealing with the city (which was fine, who would argue with someone looking out for your safety?) the only unanticipated event was that one of the windows was measured incorrectly. That did not really inconvenience us or add to our cost. Otherwise, the workmen were punctual, quick, did a quality job and were all together not a problem. The windows have helped noticeably to insulate both temp and sound although I cant really judge if they are as effective as claimed. In any case I am satisfied.

We were in a time pinch and we expressed that to the salesperson...the non-call was infuriating, since we wasted a precious week and a half, just waiting to get the window measured & ordered...ugh.

Went very well -- salesman came by with estimate, then about 4 to 5 weeks later windows were installed. Job was very well done and workers did a great job and worked really hard to complete the installation in one day. The screens didn't fit well and the workers ordered all new screens without me having to ask.

Overall experience was good. Due to a misunderstanding between the sales rep and the owner of the company, we ended up with the style of windows we did not particularly like. Good quality windows, but misunderstanding on windows grids was the problem. We specifically wanted grids outside the glass rather than in-between the dual glass panels and we thought the owner understood that. When the windows came and were halfway installed, we realized the grids were in-between the glass panels. However, after finally getting a call from the owner, he admitted the misunderstanding. Sam Lee completed the measurements and was very helpful and professional. Unfortunately, he left the company before the windows were installed. The guys who installed the windows and door were nice enough, but I was a little less than satisfied with the work. Installation went okay, but clean up could have been better. I had to vacuum again after they left because they left glass pieces in the work areas inside and outside. Not good with a toddler and pets in the house. They cleaned up big pieces of debris, but left a lot of the smaller wood pieces and stucco behind. Price and company reputation was a factor in using the company. Despite misunderstanding and clean up issues, we will likely use them again.

This company and its representatives were very professional and efficient. All work was completed as contracted, neat, and timely. 1 and 1/2 days of installation. From measurement, to production, installation to payment, no problems.

The price was just under $8000. I feel the price was good and reasonable. I had received quotes from other companies a couple years ago, and I liked Brothers Home Improvement better. They showed up on time. They were courteous and knowledgeable. Two men came for the installation. They were very neat and organized. They came at about 10:30 AM and left at about 3:30 PM. They cleaned up well and did a good job. I would use them again in the future and have already recommend them to others.
