We are a small family owned business that prides ourselves on prompt, honest service. We do residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning service, preventative maintenance, repair and installations. We have extensive knowledge in repairing and maintaining older equipment as well as installing new central and ductless systems. In addition we can extend our installs to include duct systems, air balancing, zoning and all other requirements to make sure your equipment functions as efficiently as possible. Providing you the best return on your investment.

Ray was terrific! Came when he said he would. Fixed the problem. He has also helped me troubleshoot when I didn't really need any service!

Chris and his team began their work on a Tuesday and finished within one week. They were always on time and hard working. It was a big job and they paid attention to detail. We are very happy with the outcome.
Description of Work: Ray's Service / Chris Tucker replaced our central AC compressor, furnace and air ducts. He and his team put in new air registers, returns, lines, pipes, and electricity. He relocated the AC to the side of the house and the furnace to the attic. They did an excellent job! I addition to it, they placed a high efficiency air filter and an attic fan. What can I say, the whole house is now warm again, our air is clean with the filter, and the attic is cool! Our existing central AC/heat was old (15 year old) and did not work properly. Only half the house would warm up or cool down. Chris was able to fix this with the appropriate ducts, registers, condenser and furnace. Our house is 1500 sq. ft and he placed a new Rudd 4 ton, 75k btu 2 stage furnace with variable speed blower and a new evaporative coil and Rudd 14 AJM 4 ton condensing unit with the correct evaporative coil achieveing 16 SEER and 12.4 EER. I would highly recommend him!

The main reason we called a heating service is because our pilot light on our wall heater would not stay on after the Gas Company came out and started it. We had the Gas Company come out again and try to start the pilot light, but they said we would have to have the valve replaced by a heating and air company, that they did not do that type of work. So we called our plumber (who we had also found on Angies List last year) and they reccommened Ray's Service Inc. They said he is very good and we should be pleased with his work. And we were very happy with the work done from Ray's Service.
Description of Work: Ray's Service - Heating & Air replaced the Millivolt Valve in our double sided wall heater. They also removed heat exhanges and cleaned complete heater inside and out. Then ran the heater and tested it for safety and that everything worked before he left.

They are very very nice! They always come and help me out; they even send me a bill! I have not had one probem with them.

They had a very competitive bid. They coordinated all the inspections and other contract work that was required. They were very polite and knowledgable. They showed up on time and scheduled everything. The guys were very friendly and professional, answered all our questions. They called ahead for scheduling. Right now I can't say enough good things about them. There was only the required half day for the dust to settle after the asbestos removal before they began the installation of the new system. Everything out in the garage looks first class.
Description of Work: He arranged for asbestos removal, the installation of a new furnace, air conditioning unit, new ducting, partial electric, as well as new air conditioning lines out to the garage. They also custom built us a double filter.

Although the person who came out was very pleasant, he would not give a price estimate. He said the part needed to be ordered. On more than one occasion he did not call to update on the status of when he would be back to complete the job. The bill was sent after the fact and I was shocked at the price. The part was very inexpensive, but the final bill was not. The young man stated that part of the problem regarding his unresponsiveness was that Ray, the owner, was ill.
Description of Work: The air conditioner was leaking an unusual amount of water.

It's always a pleasure dealing with Rays.
Description of Work: We needed A/C repair on a hot weekend and was unable to get anyone except Mike Diamond, who did sufficient repairs to carry us over the weekend. The following week we had Rays A/C, whom we had used in the past, finish the job. We have been very pleased with every aspect of their service.

He was very honest regarding the work he was going to do for me. He told me the work wasn’t worth doing. So, he didn’t do the work for me. My mother used him as well. He installed a new heating and air conditioning units for her. He was very responsive with her questions. He came out right away and was very polite.

Excellent, as usual. Bill came out the next morning and quickly identified and fixed the problem. The unit now runs even quieter than before the vibrating sound started.
Description of Work: My furnace was making a vibrating sound. Bill adjusted the blower assembly housing on our upflow furnace. The old-style double-shaft motor was out-of-balance. Bill also checked the freon level, ran and tested.

The price is very fair. We have used him for over a decade. Unless its a hot summer day, and everybody's air goes out or its a cold day and everybody's heater goes out, he is very responsive. We have used him since 1992, which is the first time he came out.
Description of Work: He comes out at least once a year to do maintenance on our heating, the circulating system in the heater. He occasionally comes out to repair parts on here, there, everywhere, so we see him at least once a year, sometimes twice.

They worked quickly, fixed the problem, and checked a room A/C that was broken. They were going to send me a quote to have it repaired/replaced, but I haven't received the quote yet (2 weeks). Their price wasn't bad, but everything is more expensive than I think it should be! Maybe that's just me.
Description of Work: My A/C was blowing but with no cold air. They replaced the shorted run capacitor for the A/C compressor.

Ray's service came out, removed the motor and took it back to their shop to rebuild. Returned in a few days to re-install the motor.

Bill arrived right on time. He removed the motor and fan blades and took the unit back to his shop to change out the motor. I had to wait over the weekend for him to return to re-connect the new motor, but his tech arrived, again, at the appointment time, to install the replacement. It works great. Ray's Service has been my heating and A/C for many years. I have always found his price reasonable and his service reliable and friendly.
Description of Work: The A/C was blowing hot air in the house. Bill came out and diagnosed that the condenser motor on our twenty-year-old outdoor A/C unit had shorted out. He replaced the condenser motor with a new one and reinstalled it.
