MADE IN THE SHADE

I had over 5 estimates on my patio cover. Mike Speer’s (Made in the Shade) estimate was in the middle (not too high or low). I recommend Mike because: * He was highly recommended by a retired union carpenter that did this work for a living. This retired carpenter had Mike work on his house. Since this guy knows the trade and wouldn’t settle for poor work, I knew that Mike and his team could do the job well. * I’d seen his past work and saw it was done well. * Mike is both the owner and the guy running the crew. He’s been there every step of the way. Many of the other contractors providing me bids were from out of town, drove fancy cars, and had offices in expensive areas (someone’s got to pay for all of that). * * These guys have never had any dirt under their finger nails. Mike is hands-on. * Mike has a great crew. His people are happy working for him. * He added several nice touches to the patio cover. All were small details, but added together they made a big difference. * He’s a professional; shows up on time, does what he says he’ll do and does it correctly. * He pulled all the permits with the city and the patio passed without any issues. * There were absolutely no surprises. * I’ll call him to do the next job on my house.

The work was performed in a professional manner The temperature was about 100 degrees and he still contuned to work until he was finished

He did twice as good a job as the mess he had to take out which was a new deck, but was very poorly done. He got rid of all the debris and could not get over the other guys job.
