LESLIE'S SWIMMING POOL SUPPLIES

I've been having trouble with my pool cleaner for a few weeks. It runs for a while, until it hits a wall and stops. It is supposed to turn every so often, but it doesn't; instead, it will get "stuck" by the side of the pool for an hour or so. I took the unit in to Leslie's, where John looked at it for a few minutes and declared it to be in perfect working order. I explained the problem I was having, and he "informed" me (without ever opening up the unit) that it was working perfectly. I took it back home, put it back in the pool, where it again worked until it hit a wall. The following weekend, I went back to Leslie's, and told them the same story. I was then told that it was the vacuum level that was the problem, that it was too low. I increased the vacuum by one click (I have a diverter valve between my vacuum and my skimmer), and saw no effect whatsoever except that the unit started climbing the walls of the pool so much that I thought it would actually climb out of the pool. Then I was told that no, now the vacuum was too high, and I needed to lower it. I then lowered the vacuum by one click below its original value, and the unit stopped moving at all. At this point, John told me that I needed to call their service department to have them come out and diagnose the problem, after which repairs could be made. I contacted the people at the number they gave me, and spoke with Elaine, who told me that their service department does not do home service calls. I'm not sure exactly what a "pool service" company does if they don't go to someone's home -- I doubt that I'm supposed to load up my in-ground pool in my car and take it to them -- but I am quite sure that I have been dealing with the wrong company.

I USE THIS SERVICE EVERY MONTH. THEY COME AND CLEAN AND SERVICE MY POOL WITH CHEMICAL AND CHECK THE EQUIPMENT. THE MEN ARE RELIABLE AND USUALLY LEAVE ME A NOTE EACH WEEK WITH WHAT THEY HAVE DONE.

WE OFTEN GO TO THEM AND RECEIVE SUPPLIES ON A MONTHLY BASIS. THE STORE IS VERY CLOSE TO OUR HOME AND EASY TO PICK UP ITEMS. THE SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING AND THE SERVICE CLERKS HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL.
