Juan is great and his crew work their butts off, literally. I have not seen a crew that works this hard in ages, what a great work ethic. Juan, Juan Jr. and his crew were on time, did everything I requested per the price and did a great job. They did so well that I had them come back two weeks later and trim all my tress, which was a huge effort. The cleaned everything up afterward and hauled it away. Another great job. He also fixed one of my sprinkler valves that was not working. If your looking for landscaping, sprinkler repair and installation, or tree trimming, Juan and his crew will not let you down. His prices are fair and he is there on time ready to work. A+ all around.

I am so impressed with Juan and his team - the service, quality and value was way more than expected, and I would rate them as excellent. They showed up when scheduled - I left for work and left some brief instructions as to what I wanted done with the front mulberry tree, and two trees in the back (a grapefruit tree and large pepper tree). and when I came back, I was so pleased - they performed over and above my expectations. I highly recommend them, and for me, my new "go to" tree service, hands down!

They quoted me about $3000. They were very punctual and the estimate was good.

Our yard looks amazing! Both Juan and Juan Jr. are very friendly, professional, and hard working. The work was completed over a few weeks as there was a lot of prep work that had to be done before the sod could be laid. They always arrived on time and stayed until the work was completed. They are going to continue doing our weekly landscaping as well. The only issue one might have is that all services(to the best of my knowledge) are cash only-no checks. I would highly, highly recommend Jr. Landscaping!

Member wanted refund 2 weeks ago as SP was out of service, but was never processed. Processing refund now.

Mr. Covarrubias Jr. set up a time with me to visit the site and estimate the work the amount of work to be done. It was a big job -years of neglected over and undergrowth. I had purchased one coupon. We agreed that a one day effort would be best and he and three other workers efficiently completed the work in 7 hours. All cuttings were neatly tired or bagged for removal. It was hot and the JR team worked very efficiently and hard. I highly recommend.

Did not perform work - very hard to get a hold of and didn't show for scheduled appointment and didn't call to reschedule.

From the initial phone conversation to the final hand shake, Juan Jr. was pleasant, professional, and hard working. I had a mess on my hands. Juan came in and worked quickly and efficiently, clearing out the weeds on my hillside and side yards. I highly recommend his services and I will call him again.

The quote was rather high to have the work completed. Even with the deal already paid of $199 for $400 worth of work, the quote was for $950. I got a second and third quote which were both around $400 total each for the same job. I still have the unused deal.

He had truck problems, so the work was put off a few days. But when they arrived for the work, everything went great.

I was very happy with all aspects of the job from initial correspondence to the job completion just a few days after the first call. They showed up on time and worked very hard throughout the day . The landscape looks great and it was money well spent. I recently called them again to work on some sprinkler issues I have and Juan came out the next day to fix the problem. I would recommend Jr. Landscaping for all who are looking for quality work at a reasonable price

I met with Juan to explain what I needed done. When I was done, he said "I'll think about it and get back to you." He did not take any pictures or draw up plans. So, I don't see what he needed to get back to me about. The work was pretty straight forward, just trim the trees back. Five days later, I still had not heard from Juan. I have never dealt with a contractor that could not give me an estimate right on the spot, especially after seeing the work that needed to be done. Again, I realize that it is only estimate and that other factors could change the actual final cost. But to tell me "I'll think about it and get back to you!" That was insulting. To add to this, five days later, I had to contact him and tell him that I would not being using his services.

The owner, Juan Covarubias, was very courteous and knowledgeable, and the price quoted was fair. I was looking forward to working with him, and regret having to cancel. However, basic Workmens Comp and Liability insurance is absolutely essential for tree work. (A few years ago, there was a very serious, life-threatening injury causing permanent disability to a tree worker on our property -actually the foreman. We and he were fortunate the provider was a licensed contractor and had the necessary insurance.) Angie's List should specify this in your agreements with providers. Although you have a general warning to members that they should independently verify insurance, I think you need to very specifically attach this warning to offers for Big Deals. Angie's List may have some potential liability in offering high risk services like this.

We informed him that we usually got the palm tree work done for $100 per tree each year. We have a bid of $350 to do the root work. Juan, the provider, said his high charges were in part because our home was a long distance from his office. We could not agree on a price for the work, so I asked him to do the $400 worth of tree service as provided by my Big Deal coupon. He declined saying that what he would get for the $400 worth of work was not worth bringing his crew to our home to do the work. We told him that we would then request a refund of the $199 we paid to Angie's List. He said that was fine with him. Although we could not come to an agreement on his doing the work, he was pleasant to deal with.

Juan and his crew are very professional and extremely courteous; they are very nice gentlemen. They are experts in caring for all manner of greenery and have greatly helped improve the look of our yards. Juan devotes a high level of attention to the esthetic appeal of our landscaping. We couldn't be happier with their level of service. I would recommend Jr. Landscape to anyone!

Juan Jr. also provides us with weekly gardening. He and his crew do not rush through this task. They always do a nice job and are open to hearing what the homeowner wants. They are great at complying with requests.

They trimmed back my bushes, mowed the lawn and trimmed the edges. Excellent work done efficiently and cleanup was impressive.
