The first TV was Installed a day earlier, but the installer injured himself neccessitating the second visit. They are probably not the cheapest option, but the installers are punctual, professional and do a neat, clean, tight installation.

Was a large install, three big screens. Staff made sure locations would support equipment, viewing area was optimal. All equipment was unpacked, installed, and set up for turn key operation. Staff spent time demonstrating use of multiple features. By the time they left I was thoroughly familiar with the systems and their operation. I avoided the frustration of a self install for a very reasonable price.

This was the local Best Buy. He refused to come back with proper equipment. Would not redo service. I called Best Buy and they offers to send out repairman. However, it would be same person. They only had one repairman. He had refused to do job correctly first time. I am now facing repair of hole in wall, lost channels, etc. will never use Geek Squard again. This was Best Buy in Thousand Oaks.
Description of Work: Was to install Roku device on upstairs TV. Did not have extension cord. Would not come back. Ended up sticking cord switch into wall. Making holes. Lost channels.

The young man who helped after we had to look around for assistance, was knowledgable and really asjed good questions to determine our needs. We are very happy with our purchase. One of the speakers didn't work. I took it back and they replaced onsite.

When I first purchased the flat panel tv, entertainment system and the installation there were a lot of hidden costs that brought the total about several hundred dollars over the original written cost and verbal estimates that we received. The tv and entertainment itself totaled about $2600 dollars with another $500 for electrical components and another $900 in hidden costs and installation fees. Because the flat panel tv was to be installed above a fire place, I was charged an additional two to three hundred dollars, never mind that it was just plain drywall and there was a metal pipe several feet behind the wall that was the exhaust for the fireplace. In addition, I also paid for items such as a tv cleaning kit that I never got. The Magnolia salesman never bothered to explain all of the items that I was charged for on my lengthy receipt and I never got a business card from the salesman. At the conclusion of the $4000 transaction, the salesperson forgot to bring out the flat panel tv, entertainmetn system and additional electronic components to the front of the store so that I could load them into my vehicle. At the recommendation of the Geek Squad, I hired an independent electrician for the electrical outlet installation. On the morning of the installation, the electrician came out early and did all the wiring. The installation crew came out by about an hour later and by that time, the electrician allready had made his cuts into the drywall and had the wiring all mapped out. Unlike the recommendations we got from the Geek Squad technician that came out 6 weeks prior, the electrician made only three cuts into the drywall in areas that are generaly out of view to the public. Outstanding job. The installation crew only needed to run the wires where the electrician had made his cuts. I could have probably done that on my own. In the end, we had problems with the universal remote we had ordered and one of the speakers didn't function properly. They came out three weeks later and repaired the problems with some tape. A few months since the installation, I am still experiencing speaker problems. I traced that problem to the entertainment system and I am considering upgrading in an effort to repair the problem. But this time, I will most likely just do it myself.

I WAS NOT TOO HAPPY. AS SOON AS WE BOUGHT THE SYSTEM, IT WENT ON SALE WITH A REBATE AND A NEW FINANCING DEAL. WHEN WE TRIED TO GET THEM TO GIVE US THE REBATE AND THE SAME DEAL (JUST A FEW DAYS LATER) THEY DIDNT WANT TO. THEY SAID WE COULD HAVE EITHER THE REBATE OR THE FINANCING DEAL. I SEE THIS AS UNFAIR. IF THEY OFFER BOTH A FEW DAYS LATER, THEY SHOULD HAVE OFFERED IT TO US AS WELL. THIS SEEMS LIKE AN UNFAIR PRACTICE.

NOT VERY HAPPY WITH BEST BUY'S SERVICE. IT HAS TAKEN THREE VISITS FROM THIS REPAIRMAN TO HOPEFULLY FIX THE PROBLEM. WE WERE TOLD BY HIM THAT THE MECHANISM KEEPS FREEZING OVER AND IN ORDER TO 'FIX' IT WE WOULD NEED TO SQUIRT WARM WATER ON IT TO UNFREEZE IT. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR A FRIDGE THAT IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD. BEST BUY HAS OFFERED TO HAVE HIM COME AGAIN IF THE PROBLEM CONTINUES (WHICH AT THIS TIME, IT HASN'T RE-OCCURRED) AND THEY ALSO SAID WE MAY HAVE TO GO THROUGH A PROCESS TO HAVE THE FRIDGE REPLACED.
