Castle Plumbers

There were 3 workers. It took them 4 days. It was left immaculate. The workers were great, although my husband was around for this. I didn't meet them.

When Kelly Castillo came over, we talked about future projects I wanted to have done in my home, including renovating one bathroom and adding a completely new bathroom. That was MY mistake. I think he somehow got the message that I was a stupid old woman who has a lot of money. He was more than ready to take advantage. What he didn't know was that I've been in the business for a while and therefore know the scope and approximate costs of repairs and renovations. The water lines that needed to be added were existing and were on the exterior of the wall. Again, we're talking about adding five feet to existing water lines! The gas line and the shut off were existing and also only needed to be relocated FIVE FEET. Materials for a new dryer installation kit is $30.00. The hole for the dryer to vent outside was already in place since the dryer had only recently been moved to its present location. I received bids from two other licensed plumbers. Both estimates were $400.00 I did have the work performed by one of them It took approximately 1-1/2 hours for one man. $3,500 constitutes price gouging. Mr. Castillo (who's address with the State of California is in West Covina ... 1242 W. Puente Avenue) claims to be a member of BBB. He is not. When I checked to see if his license was current, it was not. This man is an opportunist and apparently lacks professional ethics. PS. His bid also included a "10% DISCOUNT" because of Angie's List. Angie, I'm so disappointed!

We had a clogged kitchen drain and a clogged overflow valve from the dishwasher to the sink (that 's my description). Gilbert showed us how to clean that "valve" on our own, and he used two different sized snakes to clear a very clogged pipe far into the pipe. It took a fair amount of effort but he was able to clear it. I left a message for two different plumbers late last night. He was the only one to call back and he came promptly this morning. He was very polite, knowledgeable, and told us we could call him any time for free advice over the phone in case we wanted to fix something ourselves. He was outstanding. I will tell my friends about him.

Kelly at Castle Plumbing was extremely professional. He was very responsive while I was collecting quotations and his price was competitve - coming in lower than other companies. The work was done on time, with no surprises. In addition, Kelly was very thoughtful about cleanliness - wearing shoe covers for both the estimate visit and actual work. Despite the extensive plumbing work, my kitchen was spotless after he left. I would highly recommend using Castle Plumbing.

It went wonderful; he was great. He had been here before so we go back to him when we need help. His name is Gilbert, he is the owner and I think he is fabulous. He takes care of things and is a delight to work with. I don't have anything that I don't like about him. The pricing was very fair. He is the only plumber I will go to now.

It is now almost Thanksgiving 2013 and I need Gilbert again. He replaced a pipe under our house a year ago and I have been meaning to write this recommendation for a year. Now is the time. We had a pipe that went to our sprinkler system in the back yard, it sprung a leak. It was tied to the main shutoff to the house, Gilbert came the day before thanksgiving and set up a separate shutoff so we could turn off that pipe without turning off water to the whole house. Gilbert came back the following week to replace the pipe, he did a great job. Because it was a new pipe it allowed a lot more water pressure to reach the sprinkler system causing a valve to leak. I called Gilbert and he came the same day to fix the valve and put in a new pressure control. Gilbert is honest depending and goes above and beyond. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

He was very quick to come out and took care of it right away. He was very professional. I felt he was being honest and was not trying to encourage any additional work.

Kelly called to say he was running late. There was a problem on the job right before me. That was no problem for me and he arrived right on time. He did a fantastic job and I will call him again for any plumbing repairs.

Gilbert did an excellent job. I called around to various plumbers but chose him because he gave the most reasonable quote/estimate. He arrived promptly and was courteous right from the start. He began work right away and was noticeably hard-working and time-efficient. In our conversations with him, he seemed very knowledgeable in his profession. From our perspective, he did a job-well done and did so without complaint. So far, the toilets seem to be working great! We will surely use him again!

I called and they came within the hour and everything was fixed inside of two hours. Great service. Great guys.

Everything was great. He came out to give me a quote (while the kitchen work was still being done) the day I called him. I liked his quote so we scheduled him to come out the day after all the other stuff was finished. He did a great job.

I will use them again in the future.

Gilbert came out quickly for an estimate and wrote it up in detail including a long walk-through and a lot of specificity on the estimate. My impression is that he is happy to discuss all of your options and answer any questions you have. Gilbert and his crew came out and did a great job on the copper repipe using excellent materials and fulfilling all of my requests. The work took two days and the crew took all the steps to keep our house clean and make sure we could shower and everything overnight during the period they were working. In my limited experience and opinion, the price was completely fair and reasonable. I won't say it was cheap, but these guys did a great job and I will certainly call them in the future for all of my plumbing needs.

We have used Castle Plumbing for many plumbing repairs at our home and at the small apartment building I manage. Gilbert (the owner) came out the same day I called and brought a similar Moen faucet to the original one. The cabinet space under the double sink is very cramped, but Gilbert was able to get the faucet and spray hose installed without any problems or delays. Gilbert is an honest and thoroughly professional plumber who does consistently high quality work, and we will call Castle Plumbers first whenever we have a plumbing job to be done.

Gilbert did a great job, as always. He was actually a little early. He saw what he needed and actually had to go back to the plumbing store twice to get the downspout that fit just right. The mystery water source to the fridge still does not have water coming out of it. He would have to get into the walls and it just isn't worth it to us to bear that expense. We may unravel that mystery at a later time. The cost included all materials and his time.

I was having problems with a leaky toilet that was more than thirty years old.I checked angie's list for a local plumber. I called Castle Plumbers on 1/5/2010 and we scheduled the appointment for 1/8/2010 between 10:00am and 10:30 am. He called me on Thursday night 1/7/2010 to reverify the original appointment. Gilbert called on the appointed day around 10:05 to check directions and stated that he was about 10mins away. When he arrived I explained the problem with both toilets.He then gave a detailed explanation of the cause of the problems and also pointed out some previous work not done properly, done by me I might add. He then explained in detail what needed to be done. I was in full agreement and he was able to complete the work on both toilets in approximatly 2hrs including purchase of the new equiment on the same day.

They showed up on time. They took care of the problem promptly and efficiently. They were friendly. I have used them for years and haven't had any problems with their services.

Gilbert came promptly to look at the toilet and take measurements. After looking at the one recommended, I changed my mind to one which would fit without problems (I hoped). Gilbert was really good about taking the original one back. The new one was installed without any problems, with an eighth of an inch to spare!

He was on time and professional. He was competent and got the work done quickly. He gave me an estimate, which was reasonable and that's what I payed.

They are a family business, everybody on the crew was related, the owner actually used to work on my parents home 30 years ago and he was a great plumber. They were knocking at our door 7 sharp, just like they said they would be. They knew my wife is very ill so they made sure the water was never turned off for more than 15 minutes the whole 2 days they were working. They were really fast, the owner had them in teams of two, and he gave the orders and they did it. We had a bad faucet and the owner recommended a better brand. He came back two days later when the faucet came in and installed it free of charge I just paid for the parts not a service call. It is little things like that that make a quality business.

Well, I guess all we can say is that they did an average job for us. Everything was going just fine at the beginning of the job. They had stopped what they were doing for us to go start work on another job that from what we understood was a very big job. So we guess that they just did not want to loose that big money job. When they came back the next day to finish the job, they apologized and finished the project they started. By far, that was not the most professional company we ever dealt with. They did end up doing just a so so job. I can say that they did give us an outstanding price for the work they did. If we had to, we would hire them again.

Castle thoroughly impressed me. Their work was neat and time efficient. They are a responsible company and I will continue to give them my business. While I do not care to provide any personal information about myself like what I paid them for this work or the size of my home. I am comfortable telling others that this is a stand up company. They do very precise work. They are friendly and they do what they have promised to do.

The workers arrived on time and were pleasant to have around the house. They worked well together and cleaned up well after themselves. There was never any problem with any of the work involved in this job. They used good quality copper pipes. We would feel comfortable calling them again for ourselves or recommending them to a friend.

I have used this company on several different occasions and I am very satisfied with all of the work that has been done threw the years. This job alone has saved me a lot of money. That makes me a very happy customer. I think that they are trustworthy, dependable and I would recommend them to anyone.

This company has been coming to my home for years. They were actually here a few days ago doing some other work. I am always very pleased with the service. They are on time and friendly all the time. They have reasonable prices and I would recommend them to anyone.
