Description of Work: The service provider contacted me the day before my 1st appointment, which was for Friday, 3-15-13 to tell me that they would have to take my screens(5) with them back to their location-materials were not available-not returned til next day. This was not satisfactory so I rescheduled for Wed., 3-20-13, and given time frame of 8-11am. I called provider at 11:15 & left a vm saying nobody here, and no phone call to explain delay. My call was returned shortly thereafter and I was told that the time scheduled was 11-2. This time was not what I had been told, I had already cancelled 2 morning appointments to be home, and I could not accomodate later times, so I cancelled appointment, asked for my money back and was informed to call Angie's List, which I did.

Description of Work: Very nice! I was interested in the service, but when I called the company, they said that they did not service my area. So when I called Angie's List and told them what happened, they gave me another option. However, this also did not work out. So Angie's List were very happy to refund the money.

Description of Work: Supposed to be a full day of deep housecleaning. House is small 4 rooms + bath ( less than 800 sq ft.) Just didn't feel as if we got our moneys worth. Keep finding things that were over looked or ignored.

Description of Work: The company explained to me that rescreening does not include fixing broken screen frames. Thus the deal does not work for me.

Description of Work: The job was to include a deep cleaning of all surfaces. The house was empty of everything but a piano in the living room. When I came to inspect, I found: The top of the refrigerator, top of the doors, windows wells, base boards, cabinet doors, inside drawers and cabinets, inside closets, carpeted corners and edges, kitchen floor were all dirty. Stove and refrigerator were not cleaned. Tile in bathroom still scummy. All in all , a very bad job.

Description of Work: i purchased the big deal on Mar 7 and contacted the service provider on Mar 11. I was informed that they do not provide service to Moreno Valley. They did try to schedule an appointment for April 2, when they would be in the Riverside area that morning. But, i was available on that day.

Description of Work: They did a great job cleaning the windows. We bought the deal that gave us 20 windows. It is interesting how they define a window. We have five panes of glass on our balcony and we were told that each pane would count as two windows for each side. That would mean 20 windows total. So we only had them clean the outsides of the windows. It was still a good deal, but beware of this problem.

Description of Work: America's Best came out to hang my holiday lights. I purchased two vouchers for $99 each, one to be used to hang the lights and the second for the take down and both were for 2 hours each. I have a two story house and didn't want to attempt doing it on my own. In December, their guy came out and hung all my lights within the two hour period. I had checked all lights before hand to make sure they were all in working order but after he hung the lights one strand didn't go on. He changed the fuse for me in that strand and got it working. He definitely wanted to make sure I was happy. He hung everything carefully, concealing the extension cords and was very careful about walking on the roof (we have very breakable asphalt tiles). In January, I scheduled the company to come and take down the lights and again, they were courteous and helpful, even wrapping the cords up carefully. In all, I would definitely use America's Best again.

Description of Work: You keep prompting me to review this company. So here goes. I purchased the window cleaning package and terminated it when the worker arrived. I would not allow the worker to start because it was only one person who would be working off of a high ladder. Additionally, the service package was missrepresented because in only included one side of the window and the advertised compenents of the package were just not what the workman represented. I requested a refund from Angies List and it was promtly paid. I will continue to use Angies List but would suggest that you purge the files when someone terminates an unsatisfactory referral.

Description of Work: He was on time. I asked them to call first because we have dogs, and he did. He cleaned the window with no problems. Would use them again.

Description of Work: Cleaned windows. Tried to upsale for additional windows not covered. I will be very relunctant to get an Angie's list Big Deal again. The service provier is only interested in upselling. How these service providders are recommended is beyond me.
