A Plus Pool Cleaning

Richard was super friendly and saved us a lot of money on a pool repair with his quick and honest solution. He was a lot easier to schedule and plan for than prior contractors and really knew his stuff. Will be working with in the future.

Richard is pro in pool service. Came and fixed pH levels and cleans every week. Helped with general maintenance and safety tips as well. Would recommend.

So far this company has been very responsive. Showed up early for the initial consultation. Showed up early for the initial installation of my filter. I would like to see better paperwork with regards to invoicing the jobs as that would make this company more professorial in my opinion. Monthly maintenance is coming soon so we will see.

Richard was great! I called on a Friday evening, and he was at my house to assess the pool on Monday morning. He let me know what my options were, how much each would cost, and the work was completed later that week. We even decided to sign on for his monthly pool service. After two years of constantly adjusting chemicals, expensive trips to the local pool store, and unfun filter cleanings, it's nice just to enjoy the pool for a change! I'm a die hard do-it yourself-er, but handing the care of our pool over the A Plus Pool Cleaning was the right decision!

I ended up hiring this company, and recently uncovered and looked at my above ground Jacuzzi; which was SUPPOSED TO BE part of their service. BLECH! It wasn't taken care of, wasn't clean, and wasn't even FULL! I intend on asking Richard what happened, or why it's being over-looked, but I haven't seen Richard himself servicing my pool for quite some time. He and his associate were explained that the reason we were initially looking for a NEW pool service was b/c the PRIOR guy would bill us for things that were NOT authorized FIRST; explaining how if HE were to do this, there would be a problem. To which he replied something to the effect of "oh no, we'd never"... Despite the fact that he DOES just that. Another issue I intend on bringing to his attention; AGAIN. Well Richard got bothered by my last review, and decided to call and voice such; saying how it's MY responsibility to keep the spa FULL of water, NOT him. When asked about the water that WAS in the spa being clean, he said "well if it's not full, I can't maintain it b/c it'll wreck it".. (EXCUSE).. He said if I wasn't happy with the service, I could find someone else. I asked him to clarify "Are you saying you're quitting?" to which he confirmed; leaving me with no service. He'd get 0 stars but .5 is the lowest the site allows. Had their services for pool and spa cleaning, but spa was 1/2 full and gross. When I reflected this in my review on here, he called up and gave excuse after excuse as to why he hadn't maintained the spa. He then proceeded to quit on me, leaving me to have to find another service, which I DID and for LESS! (YES, on here, HomeAdvisor).

Just recently hired Richard and his pool service. During our initial meeting, he took the time to thoroughly explain the service offered and answer any questions I had. He made some recommendations for down the road but no hard sales pitch to get things done now! He is very personable and seems to know his stuff. So far so good!!

My wife and I purchased a new home in the Santa Clarita Valley and pondered the company to go with but Richard with A+ Pools made it a simple choice! The care and professionalism means that your pool is in good hands because we know ours is! My Man! JA
