I go to Lowes specifically for United Marbles and Granite because they have good quality work, and they did. Willing to do the L shape without seam for me despite the extra labor they have to use to lift it into the home.
Description of Work: Quartz countertop from Silestone, no seam L shape 3cm from jumbo slab.

United Granite and Marble worked with me to select the right stone, including sending me to their main supplier (MSI) to select the exact slabs I wanted for the master bath. They assign someone from their shop to price out the stone and that is it. The price never changed, even when my bathroom contractor made the shower walls so uneven that I had to have the work done over, so that United Granite and Marble had to wait for the correction to be completed. As I worked with my contact person, Frank Russell, he sure that I understood that prices and process for the ordering, the template time, the carving and cutting time and when the final installation would be complete. The final stone installation looks fantastic! I am so pleased with how the entire project went, from ordering to installation. Frank Russell probably deserves the most credit for putting up with my picky and odd ideas, but he was patient and knowledgeable. I loved going to MSI and working through Frank to get the slab, Rain Forest, selected and shipped to United Marble and Granite. The template was done by Ishmael, who was diligent and very professional when he came to lay out the templates, for the tub surround, the shower and the banjo top. He let me know that the wall was not flat enough to accept the stone. (I was shocked. It was off by more than half an inch!) While I worked out how it would be fixed, Ken Wallace worked with a friend of mine to determine what could be done. Then Ishmael came back, this time finalizing the templates. I worked with Dylan Koke to lay the templates on the rain forest rock to emphasize patterns in key areas. He had good ideas and pointed out better layouts for capturing the best of the slabs. Sean DeOliveira did a fantastic job with the design, giving me what I wanted, while making sure to modify my sketch so that the end result was actually doable. The crew who did the actual cutting did a great job. Everything fit seamlessly and the bookend approach, matching the slabs so that they looked like one piece of rock, worked very well. The final teams of people who showed up to do the installation were very professional. I can?t tell you all the names, but I think the leads were Hector, Moises, and Donald. The whole team was clean, thoughtful, polite, and focused. They worked well together, took a lunch break and got right back to work. They coordinated well with me for placement of the faucet hole on the banjo top. There was even an odd cut needed for the sink overflow that I thought would have to be made in such a way that the sink lip would barely cover it. But they figured out a way to shave the rock so that the overflow valve could slip right under the slab and maintain the integrity of the round sink hole. The hallway bathroom also looks really good, but that was a much more straightforward job. The stone for both bathrooms ws put into both bathrooms at the same time, efficiently using the team of installers. My biggest problem was staying out of the way because I kept wanting to see how it looked.

For my kitchen and two bathroom remodel, I had decided on Cambria Quartz (Praa Sands in bathrooms and Windermere in kitchen). Before I visited UMG for my kitchen and two bath countertop remodel, I visited and got quotes from Plamar (Home Depot/ Lowes), All architectural Stone, Monarch Surface Stone Solutions, Duracite (Costco), The Countertop Store, and Marble City Company. UMG actually does the stone cutting for Monarch Surface and Superior Stone. UMG's quote was one of the best, but after getting a referral from my Yelp buddy Derek, started working with Laurenz Valera on the quote, process, etc. Laurenz is very good on email response, not so good via phone, always busy. Nelson came out to take the template and was very friendly. Shawn was involved with the layout which was actually kind of fun, whereby you decide by laying out the template what stone piece you actually want them to cut. Then Fabien and team did the install. The length of time from template to install was 8 working days (not counting weekends), which is kind of long, but we had a temporary sink so managed. My Cambria quartz when we went to place the order, had sold out as the colors were so popular that a second production line had to be brought up, but this would have pushed my install out 4-6 weeks. After discussing this with Cambria on their facebook page, they expedited the 3 slabs to UMG and I was back on schedule, only moving out by a few days. Goes to the show the power of voice, facebook and Cambria truly cares about its customers. If you contact Cambria nicely, you can arrange a visit to their Hayward distribution center, whereby I viewed the full size slabs. I went with a seamless quartz install all around and UMG accomodated as I had my cabinet maker (CMT Woodcraft) build it to 54and quot; and the slabs come in 56and quot;-57and quot; so they could do so. Fabien and team did a very nice install, the double bevel edge is perfect, you can't tell where the join is, even with the veining and movement. The cutout the holes for the faucets, soap dispenser, air gap and cleaned up afterwards. I still had to go cut out the plywood from underneath using a hole saw so the brackets on the underside of the cabinet could screw thread onto the faucets, and soap dispenser. Overall, I give 5 stars to UMG, their pricing is competitive. They have a small showroom whereby you can view the 12and quot; x 12and quot; quartz tiles. Their staff are very helpful and know what they are doing. I highly recommend UMG and will tell all my friends, co-workers and relatives about their great work. Very pleased with the countertop install, backsplash install and window ledges all in quartz.

The countertops seem okay, but I haven't really moved in yet. Everything went fairly smoothly. They did a pretty good job. There was a little bit of mix up on the time schedules, but other than that, it was okay. There was a mix up on the original time, but then they showed up when they were supposed to.

We purchased our kitchen through Ikea and there you can also buy the counter top. We wanted caesarstone and they can do that. Before buying the kitchen we found out that United marble would be the installer for the caesarstone. So we checked them out. They are an official caesarstone installer. We also went to there showroom and learned about the process. Once our cabinets were down they came out to measure. This guy was very cool and answered all my questions. I spoke on the phone to Greg multiple times and he was very professional and helpful. I was particularly concerned about having the stone up over the window sill that is level with my cabinets. And they said this was no problem. The installers came today. And one word comes to mind and quot;perfectionand quot;. The slab was cut very well. A little grinding was required of course. I hovered around throughout the whole job and this did not seem to phase the 3 workers at all. When I requested a bit of extra grinding to get it more flush they said sure we can. I had lots of questions that they all answered very politely. They put a lot of attention into minimizing dust. And the effort they put into getting the one seem level and close far exceeded what I would have do myself. The three workers worked well together. I was very apprehensive about the countertop. Alot can go wrong. Measure wrong, cut wrong etc. But after working with United Marble and seeing the attention to detail all of the workers displayed, John and Greg on the phone, The measuring guy and the three installers I know that the risks of a poor outcome are very slim.
Description of Work: We ordered a kitchen from ikea and united marble is the company that they contract with to install the caesarstone.

It was too confusing to deal with this company. One person told us they don't mount undermount sinks, the other person says they do, one person assures they'd call us prior to their arrival but the crew did not call, etc. We gave up on them returning phone calls and had to follow up on our own. Worst of all, the countertop installation was done completely differently from the design that Lowe's provided. They also left lots of marks that are very hard to get off of the surface.
Description of Work: Through Lowe's, we had them install quartz countertops.
