Would never use this company again if you paid me! The employees were wonderful. The owner is a thief and a complete jerk. There were some cracks in our installed tiles. They would not respond and never came to fix them. Then, they "lost" our estimate and tried to charge us $125 more for the defective work. I asked for the estimate and "they couldn't find it". We were in the middle of moving, so I didn't have a copy handy, but I knew what they had told me. I told them I would pay that amount and gave them my credit card until they could produce documentation. They never did. 3 months later, they left me a message saying they did find the estimate and I was correct on the amount but they were now charging me late fees and sending me to collections for $50. I spoke to the owner thinking we could easily clear this up. He was rude, wouldn't listen to me, started yelling at me, and then called me a liar. Hard to believe this guy is in business. It's only because he has great employees who try to make things right.

Outstanding. Excellent. $9300, ff you live in the San Francisco bay area you'd understand.

Finished on schedule, worked hard, attention to detail (once reminded of what we wanted), professional job. Highly recommend!

The table came out great. He was not able to get rid of all the stains, but the finished product was worth the money. They were able to get a little stain out of the grout and it looks wonderful. NIck and helper were very nice a respectful of our house. I believe they did a very nice job.

Great! The installers were timely, professional, polite, and kept the space clean. I felt comfortable with them working in my home, and they were great to work with. Hany, the sales manager, was also easy to work with and was great at communicating with us during the project.

I had a good experience with them and I will reuse them. They were exceptional. They were complete self starter there was some questions and answers at the beginning and at that point they went straight to the process and reported their findings and work progress all the way through the process because it took a couple of days. They prepped the work in the morning they came back and did the work in the afternoon and they came back the next day to seal the work, so at each step they gave us details.

Excellent - both making arrangements for a quote and the work itself. We have wide grout that had little holes here and there, and also needed a good cleaning, esp the tile. Everything was done as promised, on time, and very professional. I was super impressed by Curt who did the work, and Brendan at the office. I'd use Tile & Grout King again in a heart beat.

We found Tile and Grout King to be on-time, detailed oriented, hard working, professional, organized, and clean. Candy and Juan worked late everyday and including Saturday and one Sunday. They were everything you want in a company. The tile turned out great. We are looking for other projects for them to do by far the best experience we have had so far!

I had an appointment at a mutually agreed upon time the following week. This provider called two days later leaving a vague message asking if I could meet on Monday instead of Tuesday. Because the message was vague, I did not return the call, assuming that the originally agreed upon appointment was intact. Tile King was a no show on the date and time of the appointment. I have called the office twice and have yet to receive a response after 24 hours. I would not use this provider since he clearly does not understand how to communicate and apparently, doesn't want any additional business. If the appointment needed to be cancelled and rescheduled, then that should have been communicated. In addition to the lack of communication and just plain rudeness, I suspect that this provider would have completed the job with the same lack of competency.

This is the second time we have used Tile and Grout King. This job involved installing 18" square tile marble over 2 brick fireplace walls and a 110" hearth.. Some bricks extended into the room and had to be cut off. Two crews worked all week to make the installation. They were on time each day and communicate quite well. The floors were well protected and the crews cleaned up each day. I am very happy with the results and I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

BAD.EXPERIENCE. The first guys they sent were very nice, but either did not understand how to do their job, did not understand what we were saying, pretended to not understand what we were saying or were just in a big hurry to get the job done. I have a hunch it was a combination of all 4. They left our bathroom a mess and when I went to clean it up after 48 hrs of letting the grout and caulk dry I saw that THEY ACTUALLY LEFT THE BATHROOM IN WORSE SHAPE than before they cae. Issues 1) No attention to detail, sloppy, sloppy, sloppy work! Grout lines were uneven and bumpy there was excess grout everywhere. 2) They chipped two pieces of tile in obvious places on the front of the vanity(and glopped grout all over it to try and cover it up). 3) When I went to try and wipe the gloppy grout off to see the extent of the chips a LOT of grout came off and it was clear it had not been sealed. 4) I asked them at least twice if they caulked the top of the tile baseboards (as we had discussed when we got the estimate) it was clear they had NOT done that but instead glopped a bunch of grout on them that got all over the walls. We called the manager who had given us the estimate. He came out and was obviously distraught about the horrible job they had done. He called the owner and they sent a "good" guy out on the following Saturday. Ummm, not so good. First they arrived 45 minutes early on a Saturday morning. They did clean up the sink and replaced the chipped tile (with tile the previous owner had luckily saved). However, when they showed us the work both my husband and I asked them about the other clean up that needed to happen (i.e. caulking around the tub and the tile baseboards, show tile, etc.), he nodded as though he understood. He went out the the truck and I thought they were just cleaning up after themselves before they came back to complete the job.... NOPE... they just took off leaving the clean up incomplete. Again, we called the manager and he happened to be in the office. He didn't even know what to say as he had even told them all the clean up they needed to do. He called them and made them turn around and come back. At that point, we knew that the rest of his work would be crappy since he clearly had better things to do than finish our job... AND we were right. When I went to go wipe down the shower all the caulking started to pill up. and then I go down and my hands and knees and saw they did the same crappy job with the grout and caulking around the toilet and in spot in different areas of the floor. Everything is white so the mistakes and sloppiness is less obvious at first glance but if the grout had any contrast whatsoever their horrible job would be obvious at a glance.So, the manager got another call from me this morning. He is coming tomorrow to see what he can do to fix the stuff the fixer was supposed to do. I think this all boils down to the fact that the owner is hiring cheap laborers who have no work ethic. We have tile in other places in our house that is immaculate AND we just had tile put in our laundry room right before we tried to have this done (with a different vendor) and it was done right the first time and really looks nice too. I say all this because it is not as though we are being unreasonable or don't understand what tile is supposed to look like. I hope this gets cleaned up so I can live with the BIG FAT mistake we made by hiring these guys. NOTE: I did give an "A" for the responsiveness of the manager who was very responsive and sympathetic, but unfortunately has no control over the laborers they hire and schedule for jobs.

For majority of the project they were very quiet and I could barely tell they were in my home. There were times that I had to use my handy Spanish to English translator for detailed communication. The craftsmanship and professionalism was superior and I would use this company again for any of my future tiling needs.

Cleaning results in another bathroom were a bit disappointing. Brendan came back, cleaned and restored the grout at no charge

This was a good experience. Hany was very communicative, and he talked with the workers, and made sure the tile/grout was available for pickup by his team to bring to our house for the installation. The workers were very respectful, and worked hard. They did an excellent job with the Travertine stone, it's beautiful. Also, the office receptionist was very nice and informative. Overall, this was a great experience, and we will work with them again gladly.

They quality of work was great. The people I dealt with were very nice and I would use them again.

Everything went really well. They had great workmanship, they were very flexible in terms of scheduling, and they had a really competitive price. I would definitely hire them again.

I had used The Tile and Grout King many years ago to install our marble tile in the kitchen and bathroom. Now that it was time to remodel we reached out and had them come to our new kitchen backsplash. The team that came out were incredibly punctual, incredibly clean, and incredibly GOOD! The backsplash came out beautiful. Thank you!

Excellent! Was extremely impressed by Brendan Cable, estimating manager. Gave me several options to chose from. The work restored my floors to brand new appearance. Very trustworthy workers. Left home alone. Very high integrity.

The work crew of 2 arrived on schedule. They were extremely polite and efficient. Put down paper and covering to protect the rugs. . We bought the tile at a tile showroom and Tile and Grout King picked it up. The workers reviewed the job with us as we had agreed with the Tile/Grout King rep. All went smoothly and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The work was performed by one technician as the square footage was small. He was very personable, friendly, great communication skills. He explained step by step what he had to do and how long it would take. It was a one day job. I most appreciated his attention to detail, I had no idea there were several ways to install the tiles, different patterns, focus, color combinations, he gave me an opportunity to decide which pattern worked best for me. At the end of the day, the tile looked wonderful, crisp, and installed professionally. I will be working with them shortly again as they will be changing, both wall and floor tile in our guest bathroom.

Great! Kurt was professional: on-time, courteous, hard-working, paid attention to detail, cleaned up work area when finished. Kurt suggested he would like to come back for a short visit to check the grout and finish the caulking. He said that he would ask the office to proactively contact me to get this on his schedule and to NOT charge me for his time. No one from the office ever called me. So, I called, explained what Kurt had requested, and they scheduled it. I was expecting this visit to be gratis, but after the follow-up visit, the office called saying they wanted to fax me an invoice.

The house is a rental and the previous tenants didn't stay up with regular cleaning. I had retiled one wall 5 years earlier after a repipe conversion so the tile was in excellant shape, sparkling and clean. 5 years of minimal cleaning took its toll and was disappointing after the previos work I did. The Tile and Grout King came in and ended up having to redo the grout in the master shower and chemically cleaned the tile. Also redid the chaulking near the shower pan. Looked great when done, but as I looked closer, some of the new tile I installed had been chipped from the grout removal process and the chemical cleaning lighten the colored tile. Granted I saved hours of scrubing, but didn't expect the extra wear. The hall bath tile was also cleaned and looked 100% better. The grout just needed to be cleaned. I didn't notice lightening of the gray tile after the cleaning. Perhaps the tile in the master showere was a different type and more sensitive to the heavy cleaners.

They exceeded my expectation. He came during the week of Christmas. I had 3 or 4 quotes for my bathroom remodel, and this guy was the 2nd highest, but significantly lower than the first quote. There was one bidder who didn't show up, so I chose The Tile King. The guy they sent out was like an artist, he laid the tiles in such a way, that they flowed. The tile was as though it was one big slab, the pattern was flowing one after the other. I had something else in mind, but then it didn't come out that well, and I told him to do it as he likes. He set it up that there is a flow, and a contrast in the color, and the finished product looked very nice. He was not off on the measurements even by half an inch. The contractors who came saw the work, and said they couldn't do it better. I didn't get any more quotes for the bathroom, I paid him what I asked for. The guy who did my bathroom was a perfectionist, but the guy they sent for the kitchen was a perfect perfectionist. The cabinet guys who came to put the cabinets put a laser beam to put the cabinets, and the beam showed that the floor was level.

It didn't go well at all. Their price was too high considering the quality of the work, and they had to return four times because the caulk that they used kept cracking. What's more is that they ended up charging me for the fourth visit which I didn't appreciate since it was due completely to inferior materials. Ultimately, I stopped having them return because the situation didn't improve, and I would not use the company again.

There were a few concerns with multiple crews working on the floor over a 9 work day period. But that was due to a key player being ill and in the hospital. Everyone was pleasant, diligent and hardworking. The finished product is sublime.
