Ted met with us at our home initially and again several times for walk through to put a bid together. He followed up with questions which we responded to promptly. He asked several times who the contractor was that we terminated. Due to pending litigation, we did not feel comfortable sharing that information and found his curiosity unprofessional, but we politely declined to answer. At his last visit to our home, he found the plan set in a plastic envelope at our house when I was not present in that room, and without asking permission, he opened it. The permit card was on top which had the original contractor's name on it. We assume that after he found out who the previous contractor was, he somehow decided not to pursue our project. I followed up by phone and email to ask if his bid was forthcoming. He said he was waiting for a quote for custom doors and then would be sending us his bid. We never heard from him again and found this lack of communication unprofessional. Ted did provide a list of references. I left voice mails for several persons on his reference list. The did not return my calls. I was able to speak with one reference who did speak positively about their experience with Tamone Bros. We meanwhile found several other contractors who wanted to work with us. We hired one of them and our project is back on track.

They were absolutely fabulous. Everything was very easy with them. They always cleaned up after themselves, if they damaged anything they replaced or fixed it. I will use them again for sure! They were just wonderful.

Went Well. If I had a bigger budget and a bit less free time I would have used them.

For most of the project Ted and Joe did all the work themselves rather than hire out the work to subs. This is nice because the quality is great. The only parts that were sub'ed out were stucco, roofing, and driveway/hardscape. I never really had to worry about the subs doing things right because Ted and Joe were always onsite either doing the work themselves or managing others. As expected, "extras" are costly but this is true for any job of this size. We made several changes along the way and they were very accommodating. The workmanship was great and they paid attention to details.
