I have an old house (1925), and it was very hard to find a workable replacement faucet. I expected that something would come up in the process of installing it, and indeed Nick, who did the work, had some problems. At first Nick recommended that I return the faucet and buy a different one, but the only one I could find with all of the dimensions correct was three times the cost, so he did what it took to get the first one installed, even though he had to do a few things that were out of the ordinary, including grinding my very old bathroom tile. He was worried that the old tile would be brittle and crack, but he worked carefully and it did not. He also gave me a lot of information about rebuilding my shower faucets, which have always been problematic. He rebuilt them without having to go into the wall (which I guess you can't do with all brands of faucet), and they work perfectly now. I love the new showerheads, and my kitchen sink doesn't back up any more.
Description of Work: Replaced bathtub faucet, rebuilt 2 sets of shower faucets, replaced 3 showerheads, replumbed kitchen sink.

Scott is really good. He came right away the next day and fixed the problem for me. It was a matter of tightening the faucet up. It is something that moves back and forth. Apparently, it had loosened over time, but I didn?t know that. When I tried to put it back in myself, I couldn?t get it to go in. So, he just took care of it. He has done many other things for me over the years. He has always been very prompt and responsive. When we put the extension on the house, we picked some plumbing that I would not have purchased had I been more knowledgeable with the contractor who didn?t know about heating. He apparently didn?t know about plumbing either. So, there have been a number of issues and one of the issues is that we have wood ceiling tiles put in the bathroom and I absolutely love it. However, the controls for the shower are behind the tile wall and we have had lots of trouble with those controls over the years. So, Scott has come twice over a period of maybe 5 years to tighten those up again because he said that in order to replace that plumbing I would have to take the tile wall down. I don?t want to do that because that particular tile pattern is no longer available. The whole room has these tiles. So, he said that he could also go in from the outside wall. Fortunately, at this point, he has been able to tighten it sufficiently. That wasn?t his fault at all. It was the lousy stuff that we had put in. He has been great. We have a pedestal sink in the master bathroom and a section of it rusted out because it wasn?t installed properly since it was always wet. So, Scott was here lying on his back reaching up to fix this stuff in the pedestal and my cat kept going over and loving him. He was rubbing up to him. He was really good and he said that he really didn?t need a helper. Everybody loves him. He is a very nice man.
Description of Work: I use the services of Scott's Plumbing for my plumbing needs. Their last visit to my house was about a month ago for tightening a faucet. I turned on my faucet in the kitchen and the center part like the neck part from where the water comes out flew up in the air. The water was then like a geyser in the kitchen. The hand controls fortunately worked and so, I was able to turn the water off.

I HAVE USED THIS SERVICE SEVERAL TIMES. SCOTT ALWAYS COMES OUT, SOMETIMES WITH AN APPRENTICE. HE 1ST GAVE ME ADVICE ON THE TYPE OF WATER FILTER WE SHOULD USE. AFTER I OBTAINED IT, HE CAME OUT PROMPTLY AND INSTALLED IT NEATLY. IT WAS A BIT OF A COMPLEX JOB WITH THE TIGHT FIT AND THE NUMBER OF LINES WE HAVE, SO IT TOOK HIM A WHILE. HIS PRICES SEEM TO BE COMPETITIVE, AND ARE CHEAPER THAN SOME OF THE BIG COMPANIES THAT I'VE SPOKEN WITH.
Description of Work: INSTALLED A NEW WATER FILTER UNDER KITCHEN SINK.
