Darryl worked with us to make sure we ordered the correct door, coach us to do whatever prep work we could do (remove shutters, remove stucco, etc. (to his standards!), and then did the stucco work on the outside of the house after the installation, which took three trips. He fit us in on Saturdays, in between his larger jobs. Always on time, always a pleasant, timely communicator.

Following the re-piping, a month later he began the remodel of two 1960's bathrooms. The rooms were taken down to the studs, and he did everything (see above). He explains everything at choice points, communicates excellently and patiently, shows up on time (around 9 am), works REALLY hard all day, cleans up every day. He has wonderful sense of humor, which is always helpful under the stress of a remodel. He thinks ahead and has always left us with enough facilities each night to live in the house, even if we have to use different parts of different bathrooms. I wouldn't have anyone else work on my house.

Darryl is fantastic at everything he does as well as his personality.

It honestly was a pleasure to work with him (his brother worked with him at the time; he was also excellent). He lets you work alongside him as much or as little as possible. When he needs supplies, he'll let you pick them up to save money if you wish or not. Darryl concentrates when he works, so he works efficiently, arrives on-time, cleans up every day, is very thorough, and communicates effectively (returns emails and phone calls in a timely manner - very important to me). He prefers to work hourly (but will give an estimate if you want, and he explains the distinction) and we agreed, due to the fact that he can run into unforeseen problems, and he sure did! We chose our floor tiles for our entrance, hallway, kitchen and half-bath. We helped with the demo of all floors; he taught us to cut tile and we did some grouting (all to his exacting specs; he's very particular about the quality of his work!). Every once in a while he spent a day or half a day on another job, which was no problem.
