GARY'S SMALL ENGINE REPAIR

My lawn mower has been working fine ever since he serviced it. He did a good job and took care of the problem. He was one of the few in our area that is listed for lawn mower repairs. He's very knowledgeable. He was able to take in the product right away and had it repaired. I left it over night, so it was ready by the next day.

Gary gave an estimate anda delivery date and met both. Mower ran perfectly and was delivered on time, clean and he repaired the automatic shut off which had not been mentioned. I will use Gary again if necessary.

He fixed it within a half an hour and from smoking like it was on fire it now runs great.It was the rare occasion I felt like I underpaid someone.

Had older Honda lawn mower which simply wouldn't start. Took it to Gary's; they diagnosed, gave me estimate (cost and time) and delivered promptly (beat both estimates). Great place

A friend had the rear wheel fail on her Toro mower. Gary's was the first place I called in search of the part.Unfortunately, he is not an authorized Toro service center so did not stock those kind of parts (he does have engine parts, but not deck parts). But he was quick to let me know who in the area was and who I could get a better price from online if I had the time to wait on shipping.I ended up going by his shop to get an air filter for the mower. His price was $5 while at Home Depot the same part was $8.89.His shop was clean and organized. And Gary was easy and pleasant to deal with on both the phone and in person.

He's quite reasonably priced and his responsiveness is fine. I would use him again.

He's very personable, friendly and his work is very competent. He keeps his promises on delivery time. My overall experience with him has been excellent. His prices and quality of work are excellent. I plan to take my mower to him every year for a spring tune up.

Gary is great! Helped me remove mower from truck, looked it over, gave an estimate and timeframe. Place where the shop is, clean and lots of places to park. He had the mower fix (shined and polished) earlier than anticipated, called us that it was ready. Thank you, Gary!

We had an 8-yr-old weed trimmer that just wouldn't start any more. Brought it to Gary, and he initially thought it might just need a new button used to prime the fuel, which was consistent with our (hopeful) best guess. Kept it for a few days, called us when he said he would. Said the machine wasn't worth saving; the motor was burned out. Disposed of the hardware for us, said he might be able to re-use some of the parts, and didn't charge us anything. While in the shop, a very obnoxious person came in and basically demanded to be taught how to fix his own equipment for free. Gary handled him very politely and professionally, and yet did not let this person disrupt business with us. Although we didn't end up having any actual work done beyond the evaluation, we felt very satisfied with our experience and would not hesitate to go back with additional repair work.

I received a used lawn mower from a friend, and it had not been used in over a year. I found Gary's Small Engine Repair on Angie's List and telephoned him to inquire about scheduling a repair. Gary was extremely helpful - he suggested that I bring in the mower for him to look at, provided me with his hours, and the fact that he was open on a Saturday was a huge plus. I brought the mower to him and he provided me with an estimate for trouble-shooting and tuning it up. The repair was completed in less than a week, and he called me to let me know that my mower was ready to pick up. The estimate was spot on exactly what he quoted, and he cleaned the mower also. I was pleased to know that in addition to repairs, he also sells refurbished equipment, which will come in handy when I am ready to add to may lawn maintenance arsenal.

I could not get my lawn mower to start. I tried adding an additive to the gasoline. I still could not start it. I tried sending Gary an email because it was the holiday season. However, when I called, he was very responsive. My son dropped off the lawn mower and it was ready in three days. He even cleaned the lawn mower.

Both service visits were great. Each machine was returned clean and in great working order. Gary started each when I came in to verify that everything was working while I was watching. He also gave me a couple of tips on starting the balky blower engine without flooding it. Each machine still runs cleanly and starts quickly.

It went fine. Gary did exactly what he said he would and I picked up my lawn mower when he said it would be ready.

Gary's shop is a one-man shop. When I arrived and told him I have a mower to fix, and he came out to help getting the mower out of the van for me. He also asked if I wanted to be called w/ an estimate instead of just doing the tuneup, so that I'm fully aware of the price. When I picked up the mower, he made sure he started the mower before I left, and realized it didn't start, so he filled it up with engine oil, and started it like a charm.

All the work was completed professionally, on time, and at a reasonable price. I will use Gary again, if needed, to service and sharpen my lawn mower.

JUST DROPPED IT OFF, AND IN A COUPLE OF DAYS IT WAS READY TO PICK UP. WORKED GREAT. ACTUALLY HAVE HAD THIS DONE A COUPLE OF TIMES BECAUSE MY BOYS HAVE LEFT THE LAWN-MOWER OUT IN THE WEATHER.
