We bought hardwood and used this company for installation. There were some problems, but in the end, we've reached a settlement with them.

Ami was quick to meet with me at my house for a quote. After I paid him, it's been hard to get him to come back to address some defects.
Description of Work: Ami Molaie is the owner of this store. I needed wood flooring installed in my house. Ami said his crew could do it in 3 days. It ended up taking 4 days. In the final invoice, Ami added 90 dollars w/out telling me what it was for. 21 days later, I asked him to drop by my house to look at some possible defects. After several invites, I haven't heard from him. I'll give it another week before filing court papers. Check back for updates. It's very disappointing because Ami has a beautiful store and he gives the impression of being a professional.

The sales experience was good with a good selection and advice regarding materials and color combinations. We selected and ordered our materials and awaited installation. The first crew to arrive quickly (10 minutes) made their exit when they saw the extent of the job. The next guy worked very briefly until we found a problem in our ceiling that needed attention and we halted the work temporarily to get it fixed. Then we started a series of revolving crews that did bits and pieces and and required close supervision to ensure that things were done in a logical manner. We became the project managers since it became obvious that they had no plan of any kind. They thought it would be ok to install the vanity within 2 hours of grouting the floor, had no plans to seal the grout (and did a poor job when asked + charged $85 extra for this "service"). They installed the wrong countertop when we weren't looking and we made them take it out. We then had to clean up the mess and repaint ourselves. When they installed the right countertop they didn't change the underlying plywood which caused more problems and two more people to fix it. We ended up on the phone with them nearly everyday and had to intentionally had to be "unavailable" when they had a crew that was available to install something in an order that would later cause problems. We saw at least 12 different crews for our little 5'x6' bathroom and eventually kicked them out with a few things remaining to be done. At the end they presented us with a bill for a host of "extra" services--we agreed with some, but others seemed designed to recoup their cost on the countertop they ruined. The only good thing is that they were unfailingly polite, and I believe they really want to do a good job--they just don't know how! They would be fine to buy materials from, just use your own contractor!
