I wanted to replace a 12 year old water heater and had been looking at A.O. Smith models. I had read a lot of customer reviews on Angie's List and Yelp and was amazed to see all of the5 star ratings. When my water heater started to leak, I immediately called PJ Plumbing. This was about 11:45AM. Manny answered the phone. I explained what I was looking for. He suggested a Rheem model which was immediately available and he considered better. He said his water heater man was Louis and he would be at my house after his lunch break. He arrived at 1PM. (amazingly, only an hour and 15 minutes elapsed time). He checked my old one, told me which Rheem model was appropriate, with my agreement, went back to the shop and picked up the new unit. He was back and had the job completed by 4PM. He hauled away the old heater and left my home spic and span. Louis was friendly, neat, worked hard, was knowledgeable and did an outstanding job. I found the price to be well within the range I expected. I will use this company again when I need plumbing services. Please add me to the list of people giving PJ Plumbing a 5 star rating. tIt went well. Not only were the valves replaced but the connecting hoses were replaced as well. We added another task to our list which was done as well. The job was done professionally and I am quite happy. I did not use Angie's List to find out about this plumber but found this company through a friend's refferral.

the flex line under my bathroom sink was leaking, i realized i should have also purchased a new faucet and had them replace it all at once (the faucet already had a tweak, they didn't suggest i spend more money and get it fixed). he said they could come back and do it all at once and save $. they didn't charge me for the first visit and gave me an extremely fair price for the final visit. both of the repairmen were very polite and professional, as well as thoughtful.

We had EJ Plumbing do a video inspection. They were recommended by one of our neighbors. They quoted a reasonable price for the repairs and clearly explained what needed to be done. We called them back a week later to do the repair and they completed it quickly and professionally. They explained what they did and called us over to show us the installed pipe and root barrier before they filled the hole in. I appreciated the detailed explanations and we like that they guarantee their work. We'll call them again if we ever have other plumbing problems.

We had a less-than-great experience with the original plumber we called for our sewer inspection, so we asked our neighbors for trustworthy plumbing referrals. One neighbor recommended EJ Plumbing (which was just down the street from where we lived at the time). EJ Plumbing responded promptly and sent Danny out the next day. He did the inspection and clearly explained what he saw on the camera. He identified a small break in the line and some root intrusion. He then brought out a locator and marked the break, and also discovered a city clean out which had been buried by the landscapers. On top of that -- we had problems with one bathtub draining slowly when the faucet was turned on. Danny mainly works on sewer problems so didn't have the right equipment for my bathtub, so he called another EJ Plumbing employee over. He was nearby and arrived within 10 minutes. He looked at my tub and explained the problem was due to (1) the placement and design of the removable drain guard plate; and (2) high pressure water from the faucet pushing water away from the drain. He removed the drain guard and water drained fine. He recommended we replace the drain guard with a different design. And he didn't even charge me - he said he didn't have to do any work on it, and was happy to share his expertise. :) I appreciated the honesty and the great customer service. Danny quoted a reasonable price for the sewer repairs and we called them back about a week later to have them repair the pipe. We'll call them again if we ever have any other problems.

Our sewer recently backed up into our shower, and caused quite a panic. Originally I had Roto Rooter come out, and they were able to clear roots and do a fiber optic scan, showing more roots on both the property side and the street side of the old clean out. That cost us about $450 total. However, Roto-Rooter estimates for repair and replacement ranged from $3,000 to $8,000, depending on how much of the line we decided to replace! After recovering from sticker shock I called EJ Plumbing (recommended both here and on Yelp) and spoke to Manny. He is a very articulate and competent guy. He gave me good advice on what the city would do and wouldn't do and recommended a new street level clean out (we're on a hill). He quoted $1500 for the job, about half of the RR quote. His team came out within a few days and did the necessary work beautifully. They had to redo the fiber-optic scan, dig an enormous hole, cut out a big chunk of cast iron pipe, and generally do a good deal more work than was first predicted. It all got done within a day, with excellent feed back from the guys who did the digging, and from Manny. Friendly, cheerful, knowledgeable people. And no extra charges for unforeseen problems. A very good experience. EJ Plumbing is family owned and operated. (WTTW... I also learned to keep the cap on the clean out very loose, so that if the pipe is ever blocked again, the overflow will be at the outdoor clean-out rather than inside the house.!)

Excellent, honest, professional service. We have used EJ Plumbing for ~4 years both at our home and at rental properties. His team has done water heaters, faucet repair, drain unclogging (from the roof), re-piping and more. Manny responses quickly to your call. He always clearly explains what needs to be done. The prices are reasonable. Estimates are on target. He and his team do not find add on jobs unless they are really warranted. A water heater began leaking in the am. Manny came over for an estimate within 10-15 minutes of my call. He had a water heater in their warehouse. By 3pm the water heater was in. The tenants were happy with the efficiency of the technicians. The day before the water heater was fixed, one of his technician came to another one of our buildings and removed a 1950's garbage disposal that's pipes had been leaded in. He then re-piped under the sink. I trust Manny. In 2010, we had a tenant complaining of noisy pipes. He was very honest in explaining that the noise was the normal sound of water running through the pipes. He indicated that we were probably lucky as the newer copper pipes are thinner and would allow more noise to be heard. His visit to our building was at no charge. The technicians are prompt, courtesy and knowledgeable. They will call if they are running behind on a job. All their work is neat and the work area is completely clean when the job is done.

I called around 8:30 am and was told he could come as early as 9 am; he was efficient, friendly, and provided a 30 day warranty on the service.
