It actually needed to be replaced but they were very helpful.

Daniel, Michael, and the team were quick to address my issue. They were efficient at getting the work done, friendly, and quick to resolve a lingering issue with my kitchen faucet.

There is no rational person that would hire such a rip off, insulting and dishonest.

They were very responsive, arrived when they said they would, and did their best to help with the bathroom faucet. They showed us a work-around for when the disposal stops working and got it working again. They changed out our kitchen faucet. The bathroom faucet is just so frozen that the plumber recommended that we actually buy new fixtures. (They are more than 30 years old...) When our water heater "exploded", I was thankful that the people who originally installed it (10 years ago) weren't available for 5 days, so my husband called EJ. (That would have been my initial recommendation if I had known water was coming out of the top before I went off to work...) EJ came that day, replaced the water heater, got rid of all the "extras" that the previous company had installed to "bring it up to code" (because code has changed). They had a bear of a time draining the water heater because the valve was frozen, but it got done. The price was steeper than we had hoped for (~$1500), but we got a great water heater (Rheem) and they came out that same day. That made the price bearable. :)

They showed up on time, decided they didn't want to do the work, and left. The good part was they didn't charge me for it.

The removal and replacement went well. There was a small problem after the job was done. After my call to them it was corrected promptly. The toilet tank moved a bit when you sat back therefore I felt uneasy thinking it may cause a problem later. Now it is sturdy and I feel at ease.

Great job. On time. One day. Would definitely recommend them. Really outstanding work. So glad we took the step -- too many calls for late night sewer line clearing.

Very well. Manny came right away and repaired our shower in a short time. He knew just what to do. He was polite, professional, efficient and got the job done.

I called EJ Plumbing and they were able to take my call immediately. I scheduled an appointment for the next week. The plumbers (Ray and Alex) called when they were about 20 minutes away to let me know they were coming. They were very courteous, wore booties in the house (which we like since we don't wear our shoes inside the house). Ray looked at all the projects and gave me an estimate of what the cost would be before they started. They were able to fix everything that was in need of repair, including our bathroom drain which was really really backed up. We were very pleased with the work that Ray and Alex did for us and would contact EJ Plumbing again for our plumbing needs.

Very professional and friendly. They are also very neat which we appreciate. They are knowledgable and everything went smoothly. Also, they responded promptly to an emergency. No complaints with their work. I would say the charges are mid-range. But we have confidence that they would do a professional job. For that reason, we would consider calling them again should we need any serious plumbing done.

My overall experience with EJ Plumbing was great. Late one night we noticed that the toilet was running and required repair. I called EJ at 9am the next day and they put me on the schedule immediately. Michael was very professional and provided a thorough description of what needed to be done. He also walked me through the repair process so I learned a lot at the same time. I'd hire again and would highly recommend Michael and EJ to friends and neighbors.

I called EJ Plumbing this morning; they arrived promptly and fixed everything in the same day. Price was very fair. I highly recommend and would definitely hire again. EJ Plumbing office called ahead to ask if it was ok for the plumbers to arrive earlier than scheduled - which I appreciated greatly. Jesse and Eli arrived as planned. They were very patient and polite. They fixed the problem quickly, without having to cut any joists, at a fair price and cleaned up too. They were also very respectful of our hardwood floors during the repair. Overall fantastic in professionalism and performance.

Eddy came to my house to provide an estimate. He was very friendly and the estimate was significantly less expensive than another estimate I had received, so I decided to go with it. Work was scheduled the next day and completed in the morning. Everything went smoothly and I was very satisfied with the work. Would definitely work with them again.

I had multiple issues with toilets and sinks. First, Patty was very easy to work with, regarding scheduling, and was cheerful about rescheduling when a first appointment didn't work out (my phone's fault; they couldn't reach me). Victor came (to San Mateo) and did a great job. He was very good about pointing out cheaper alternatives in case I wanted to use them, and great at fixing toilet and sink when I had decided. I will definitely use EJ Plumbing again.

EJ was the third company to tackle the job. The first plumber gave up immediately after noticing that the cleanout closest to the blockage made snaking upstream toward the house difficult. The second plumber was able to negotiate the cleanout, but only with a small snake that was unequal to the task. He also gave up. In the meantime I did some research on the Web and was able to direct the third plumber to alternate means of snaking the line. This succeeded. Because he found some root intrusion into the line after it left the house, EJ refused to guarantee their work for any period. Their prices were also higher than others. In the past, plumbers from two companies were able to negotiate the front cleanout and clear the line, but one company could not send a plumber for five days and the other company's plumber was not as skilled as the person they sent out when the drain was clogged before.

These guys are awesome! Thanks, Ben and Jaro!! Our water heater was leaking all over the garage, and (as we found out later) the gas line was backed up with water, among other things. After calling several other people, I was referred to EJ Plumbing by another local plumber who was booked up. They were in the area and stopped by to check the problem within a hour of me calling. The heater couldn't be replaced at the time, but they helped make sure everything would be set for replacement, and were able to come the following morning. They arrive just prior to the promised 8am scheduled time. There ended up being more work to be done after they got here, b/c our initial contractor had not put in the intake/outtake ducts correctly. And they found out that water had backed up in the the gas line. They fixed all this and stuck to the initial price quoted (though I was willing to pay more for all their hard work!). They were punctual, very professional and were very committed to making sure the job was done correctly so that we wouldn't have further problems. I would highly recommend them!

Quote was free and quick. Communications were good, with few snags or delays. Clean work methods were practiced - never a messy area left behind. Inconvenience was kept to a minimum. Installations were as expected. Water flow is great! Cutouts made to access key pipes were re-wallboarded, taped, and re-textured. Because we have white walls, this barely shows, and will be easy to repaint. Passed city inspection with no flags or rework. Nice touch, explanations were given before, during and after each major step in the process. We had a lot of work done in just a few days, so EJ Plumbing (a family owned business) sent over a large crew to get the job done. It was a pleasure to see how well all the folks worked together, especially in tight spaces. If we plan future work, we will call EJ Plumbing. The quality of their work justified the price. Also, of the three contractors we contacted, they were the fastest to respond to our initial request, the most polite, and the most professional.

Gary and Mark were able to identify the problem very quickly and performed a very timely and professional fix. They also looked around the area below to ensure that we didn't have any other problems or would have any other problems in a short amount of time.

Manny gave me a window of 11am-1pm after I discovered the leaking drain pipe under the kitchen sink. Called to let me know he was on his way. Came in, repaired the pipe, reconnected to the disposal, tested both the water draining and the disposal. Was a relatively quick fix. EJ has a minimum $125 charge, and we had some extra time so he connected a couple of low-flow water faucet and shower heads I had bought but had not installed yet. Really professional, cleaned up, great experience and end to what I was afraid would be a worse problem. Would definitely use again.

Fast, courtesy, reasonable priced. Our water heater leaks and no hot water. We picked EJ because it's good review and closest to our home. Called in EJ in the morning, who came in at noon as promised, and out by 2. No hassle. I originally planned we would be out of hot water for couple days for this repair, not any more with EJ. We made good choice to pick local mom shop like EJ. I think we just find a long term plumber candidate as well.

Dinner time just before the Thanksgiving holiday when all toilets plugged up and no normal plunging would open them up. Called Roto-Rooter Company who sent incompetent technician who could not do the job, would have to come back next day and would charge about $1000. Other plumbers also could not come til next day. So we checked Angie's List, found EJ Plumbing, and called them about 7 pm, after dark. Ray Sanchez came cheerfully within less than an hour, even though he was off shift. Ray diagnosed problem, cleared drains with Roto-Rooter-type snake equipment, hauling his heavy equipment up onto roof, and snaked drains at least 100 feet through house drains all the way to the street. Ray was also careful to wear booties when inside the house, cleaned up after job was done... and when job was done he only charged about 1/3rd what the Roto-Rooter company had quoted for the job.

The plumber showed up as scheduled. They gave us time to complete our showers and using the bathroom before they started the job. They stated it would take 8 hours, however they had completed the job by 3PM. They exceeded my expectation by being sure that everything was functioning properly before the left. My garbage stopped working while the plumber was completing the paper work. He took his time and found a rock in the disposal and cleared it out. I am forever thankful for their service and will be calling them again in the future. They gave me closure to what the previous plumber left undone.
