De Anza Appliance handle residential appliance repair and maintenance on kitchen and laundry appliances and commercial laundry equipment. Ask about dryer, refrigerator, and whole house general maintenance. Dryers and refrigerators should be inspected and cleaned at least every other yearl. Appliances with plumbing should be inspected every five years. De Anza Appliance is factory authorized for repair of Electrolux, Frigidaire, Insinkerator, Lynx, True Residential, and Viking appliances and work on most other major brands including General Electric, Jenn-Air, Kenmore, KitchenAid, LG, Maytag, Samsung, Sub-Zero, Whirlpool, and Wolf.

Appliance Sales & Installation, Dryer Vent Cleaning. But ask us about referrals. Any appliance or other household repair or maintenance service we can't help with we have qualified referrals. De Anza Appliance does not work on Bosch and Thermador (aside from Dishwashers).

Repair person arrived on time. Made sure that the was no gas build up or potential problems. He checked the range out and determinded the oven and broiler worked fine but the burners were slow to light. Tried to clean the burners without significant improvement. Called the office to attempt to find replacement parts for this old range and found out they are no longer made. Advised range replacement and discussed best options as well as what to watch for. Also offered resources for resonable/professional replacement.
Description of Work: Called due to problem with lighting burners on old 30 inch drop in gas range. During initial phone call was asked questions that helped to clarify potential problem. Would have helped if I had the model number of the range but they were able to work around the missing information.

Quick and yet thorough. Showed up right on time. Very pleasant experience from every angle. Able to come out the next day. Two parts were needed and Stephen had them on the truck. The office staff had asked for manufacturers and model number ahead of time. Professional and pleasant. Will work with them again, and recommend them highly.

Gus the plumber solved the problem in a minute time. He was careful when he moved the refrigerator and nothing was scratched. DeAnza's cos was reasonable. The was an all around superior job and we will call them again.

Excellent experience! Phoned approx 40 minutes after I sent email request and had a technician here the next day. They even called me back after researching my specific dishwasher model to let me know the parts costs run higher than normal so I didn't have sticker shock when the technician provided an estimate. Technician was prompt and very professional, provided a repair estimate after a detailed inspection, had the correct parts with him, and completed the repair efficienctly. I highly recommend this company.

The control panel on my Jenn-Air double-oven was malfunctioning. It was throwing an error message and emitting a high-pitched beep every three seconds when the electricity to the oven was on. I finally found time to deal with it. Found a recommended electrical repair company on Angie's List. The guy (from another firm) came out, had a very cursory look, and told me that the part needed for the fix was no longer made, and I would have to replace the ovens because of the control panel issue. So, $60 for a house call, and no joy. I shopped for a new oven, and when I found out what they cost (~$1500), decided to try harder to get the existing one fixed. Went back to my records and found a receipt from when De Anza had fixed a similar problem with the oven back in 2006. I phoned up -- and they were just great! The gentleman who answered looked up the original records, asked me to describe the problem, listened carefully, then told me he wanted to do some research on this model of Jenn-Air and get back to me. Within an hour, he had phoned back. He felt that the error message I was seeing was different than the 2006 one, and that there was a good chance that the oven could be fixed. I got an appointment promptly. The same man as I spoke to on the phone came out and fixed it within 30 minutes, good as new. He also took the time to explain to me how to operate the self-cleaning feature of the oven so that it did not over-heat in the future (he felt that this might have been the root cause of the electrical malfunction.) Terrific service, can-do attitude, and just generally delightful because you can tell that these guys just love fixing stuff, rather than telling you to throw things away and buy new ones. Very satisfied!

DeAnza appliance was professional, polite and timely. They went above and beyond the call of duty. They let me keep my appointment even thought they new I might need to cancel at the last minute. They showed up in a timely manner, and were willing to order parts for me without first seeing the fridge. Would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: DeAnza appliance came in and cleaned up the mess left by Mr. Appliance. They replaced the defrost bi-metal (thermostat) in a quick and efficient manner.

They did a good job. They were very informative and they fixed the problem when they came. However, I felt the price was expensive for the amount of time he was here...the part was only $35.00. I would probably use them again, but I might compare prices.

I called De Anaza as they are the KitchenAid authorized service folks. They came out promptly and gave me an estimate, at which time I fell out of my chair. It was $1900 even though the parts were under warranty (about $800 worth). As this was so expensive I got another estimate from a smaller company. His estimate was less than but included the cost of the parts, I was shocked. I then tried to have the warranty parts send from KitchenAid which they would not do, which was very frustrating, as the repairs would then have only been $900 if I got the parts for freeunder warranty. I felt locked in and frustrated. I talked to De Anza and they talked about their extensive training and certification of their service men. I also got them to knock off a little bit off the estimate (specifically they charge for solder and misc parts for $200, which seemed like something that should be part of a $1900 repair. In the end I got them down just below $1700, the repairmen were very professional and knowledgable and I am very happy with the work done. So I recommend De Anza as they are good, experienced and professional, but as a larger company they are more expensive, so get a second opinion.
Description of Work: Replaced entire sealed system in my built in refridgerator/freezer,which required pulling out the entire unit, a 2 man job, replacing the compressor, evaporator and many other parts, which made my fridge like new again.

It was quick and easy to get fixed...just a bit expensive. There was a service call charge on top of an hourly labor charge.
Description of Work: My dryer wouldn't dry. I tried cleaning the vent, but it didn't help. They came out and found the vent wasn't opening fully to the outside.

De Anza technician arrived on schedule with replacement parts that company bought based upon my analysis of the source of the leak around the door perimeter. Technician confirmed the diagnosis, installed the replacement seal and tested the dishwasher. He completed the work in less than two hours, cleaned up the area and requested I call for warranty service if there are any further problems.
Description of Work: Replaced dishwasher door seal. Confirmed seal solved leaking problem.

Please see above. Brian was prompt. We had been told that he would arrive between 12:30-3:30pm. At 12:00pm, he called to say he would be at our house in 15 minutes. He was professional, responsive, friendly, and worked swiftly to install the part. He gave us detailed instructions on using the refrigerator after the installation was complete and the refrigerator again was working. We were lucky in that we had a second refrigerator in our garage, so we could transfer our contents into it. Otherwise, we would have had a disaster of food gone bad. This was not the fault of DeAnza Appliance, but a lack of parts on the West Coast for a foreign-made refrigerator. Although they are listed as not having a Senior Discount, when queried, Brian did apply one for us against the labor. With such a large expense, it was much appreciated!
Description of Work: Our three year old Kenmore refrigerator, made by LG, stopped working completely on a Sunday night. We called our regular repair company on Monday morning, but were told they do not service LG refrigerators. They gave us three other repair companies to call. Only one of the three serviced LG, and that was DeAnza Appliance. We called that Monday, and they came on Tuesday. Brian swiftly diagnosed the problem: a bad circuit board. Unfortunately, they had to send to the East Coast to get the part. The part arrived the following Monday, and was installed on Tuesday.

My 13-year-old washer starting making loud noises, and I called this company. They were very polite and scheduled someone to come the next day. They were prompt, courteous and friendly. The problem was determined almost immediately, and they fixed it within an hour. Overall, a great experience with a company I would highly recommend.

I called the day before and was lucky enough to get an apppointment the next day. After explaining what was happening with the refrigerator the scheduler had a good idea what might be wrong with our appliance. I asked if the parts would be on the truck when the repairman arrived. I was told they most likely would be and to give them the model number and serial number to make sure. :-) Gus arrived in the scheduled time allotment. Gus was very professional. He conducted the testing and let us know what he was checking throughout the process and explained things. He was willing to answer any questions that we had. He first checked for a bad defrost fan but that was OK and determined that the control board was out. He had the part on his truck which saved us a return trip charge. I was happy with the service received though the price was a little steep.
Description of Work: Refrigerator quit cooling though the freezer still worked fine. The control board quit working.

No problems. The technician (Peter MacConnell) was professional and knowledgeable. In and out in 30 minutes (see above) and I now have an ample supply of ice.
Description of Work: The ice maker on my Kenmore refrigerator stopped making ice. I called DeAnza Appliance and they were here in a couple of days. The technician was on time, made his diagnosis and determined that the ice maker unit had internal damage and could not be repaired. The solution was a replacement unit, which he had on his truck, and this new unit was installed. Total time elapsed, 30 minutes.
