De Anza Appliance handle residential appliance repair and maintenance on kitchen and laundry appliances and commercial laundry equipment. Ask about dryer, refrigerator, and whole house general maintenance. Dryers and refrigerators should be inspected and cleaned at least every other yearl. Appliances with plumbing should be inspected every five years. De Anza Appliance is factory authorized for repair of Electrolux, Frigidaire, Insinkerator, Lynx, True Residential, and Viking appliances and work on most other major brands including General Electric, Jenn-Air, Kenmore, KitchenAid, LG, Maytag, Samsung, Sub-Zero, Whirlpool, and Wolf.

Appliance Sales & Installation, Dryer Vent Cleaning. But ask us about referrals. Any appliance or other household repair or maintenance service we can't help with we have qualified referrals. De Anza Appliance does not work on Bosch and Thermador (aside from Dishwashers).

Overall, it went great! From the initial phone call to the service appointment, everyone we spoke/met with was informative and friendly. While the part itself was pretty expensive (so it goes!), the overall price ended up being less than expected, which was a nice surprise. On the day of the appointment, the technician team was running ahead of schedule and offered to come a little early if that worked for us, which actually worked very well with our schedule. They came, checked out the issue, and installed the new part quickly, as well as were very personable to boot (my little kids had a great time saying hello and watching what they were doing). We will definitely go with De Anza Appliance again!
Description of Work: The glass cooktop on our GE range was cracked, so after a phone call describing the issue, the folks at De Anza Appliance researched the necessary part and let us know the estimated cost. Once the part was ordered and in, we scheduled an appointment for installation. On the day of the appointment, a technician team came out and installed the new part.

During the first repair session the Tech brought a replacement solenoid valve, which didn't get it working again, as he needed to also receive a new circulation pump. On the second visit he installed the new circulation pump, but there was still a problem, which he was unable to diagnose. On the third and final visit the Tech and his Boss came, and the Boss brought several other parts on a hunch. They determined that the water input pressure and level sensor was faulty, replaced it, and verified functionality. The dishwasher is now restored to full functionality and we are satisfied that the De Anza folks applied full and honest effort until the problem was resolved. We will use them in the future and will gladly recommend them to friends and co-workers. I originally watched an internet repair video thinking that I would do the repair myself, but I had second thoughts and it quickly became clear that I would have spent a lot more time working on it, and it is possible that I would still have had to get professional assistance to complete the job.
Description of Work: Our 10 or 15 year old Bosch dishwasher stopped getting the dishes clean and seemed to have a very low water flow. Over the course of three troubleshooting sessions the De Anza Appliance Techs were able to get it working fine again.

Took about 20 minutes. Charged $187 which included $90 labor and $80 for the trip!!!! Part was $15. Next day when using dryer noted the lint filter would not pull out properly. Cause was the metal front panel had not been reinstalled correctly. Called company. They did send same serviceman out to correct problem. Came quickly, fixed the problem.
Description of Work: Clothes dryer quit working. Fuse burnt out. Called for appt. Came as arranged. Removed front panel. Changed fuse. Replaced front panel.

They were really good. They were very professional and prompt. They took a lot of information over the phone. Everything was covered by warranty and everything fell into place. They were in and out quickly. The original unit that they installed was defective but they found a new one and installed it the next day.

Even though I didn't get service with this company, they earned the A rating. I called about a garage refrigerator that quit cooling. Chris, the rep., took the time to talk to me about what year the refrigerator was, make, use, etc. He then said it would probably be best for me to purchase a new one as a repair to mine would probably equal about half the cost of a new unit. He could have sent a technician and charged me a service call for the estimate, but took the time to help me make the right decision on the phone. I can say if I ever need appliance repair, I will be calling them back.

The repair guy came to our house. He finished the work in 10 minutes. I had run out to drop the kids at school and he finished while I was out. I asked him to wait for 10 minutes. He then went and asked my husband who also asked him to wait for 10 minutes until I got back. At that point this guy threw his folder down, told my husband he would put us on a list of customers that De Anza Appliances would ever service and he called my husband a d*********. Please do not get service from this place.

Our technician knew that he was wrong & came into the office to explain what had happened as soon as he left this customers home. This technician by far gets the most positive reviews from our customers. He had some bad news on a personal front and let it get the better of him. He said something to the customer that was inappropriate and inexcusable. We apologized after the incident and repeated to her that we would not be charging her for the repair work we completed ($169.95 value). My old (15+ years) but trusty gas dryer was no longer producing heat. I got an appointment for the next morning and the repairman showed up promptly at the beginning of the window. He diagnosed the faulty part quickly but unfortunately he didn't have a replacement in his truck (oh, the joys of an older appliance). He arranged to get the part and fixed the dryer in about 10 minutes on his next visit. He was always courteous and efficient, which I appreciated.
Description of Work: Fix a gas dryer with no heat.

Great! No hassle, job done right. When I made an appointment they gave me a half-day window and asked for the dishwasher model number. I phoned in the model number next day. On the day of the appointment they gave me a two hour window. The technician showed up on time, diagnosed the problem and replaced the part. (He brought the part, since he knew the model.) He checked for good operation, cleaned up the spilled water, took my payment and we were done. They give a warranty in case you're not satisfied.
Description of Work: Replaced a spray arm in an Electrolux dishwasher.

The repair required two visits, about three days apart, as the solenoid valve had to be obtained. They also recommended adjusting the house water heater temperature setting hotter, which I did. They suggested periodically using Affresh dishwasher cleaner going forward, which we then tried, but it is a bit perfumey for our tastes. The dishes are now back to normal cleanliness, so we can stop hand washing the dishes. Everyone is much happier. The repair wasn't cheap, but an equivalent new dishwasher would cost significantly more than the repair. We won't hesitate to use this service provider in the future.
Description of Work: They diagnosed a poorly performing 11 year old Bosch dishwasher, which was leaving many dishes dirtier than when they were put into it. A solenoid valve was replaced, and the external water feed valve was adjusted for higher flow.

We have used them repeatedly over the years, and always been extremely pleased with the service. We specifically ask for Peter MacConnell every time. He has a craftsman's ethic about the quality of his work, and it shows. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Description of Work: We have used them twice in the past month. The first time, they demonstrated the problem with the washer was related to a poorly-designed controller leading to operator error, and determined that the problem with our ice maker was a refrigerator that's about to die. The second time, they replaced the heating unit in the gas drier.

De Anza Appliance came out and they assessed the 2 appliances we called them about and one of them was too costly to repair. So we declined to have that service done. The other one had to be replaced. But we have used them in prior years and they have carried out repairs on other appliances and they've done a great job. They're very cost-wise. They're competitive. They're very friendly, professional, and very prompt. They completed the repair quickly. It was done within an hour or 2. At one point, during Thanksgiving, they had to repair my oven. They came quickly and took care of it and I was so happy. So they're very good. I would definitely consider them first. They know what they're doing. If they cannot do it, they will let you know.

I called to make a service appointment. I called within their normal business hours. An answering machine/VM answered my call. I left my name, my number and I asked for a call back. De Anza Appliance did not call me back. I'll not try them again.

Our Nortsar voicemail sytem crashed & we were unable to retrieve any messages. Our telecomnuication company will have it back in operation next week. We Now have it turned off, so if no one is available to answer the phone it will keep ringing. Nortel went out of business in 2009, hard to find parts for an obsolete systems. This company charges a minimum fee just to visit the washer regardless of whether they solve the problem or not. First diagnosis of the problem was that the 15+ year old washer needed a new timer which is very expensive. No advice provided as to whether a new washer would make more sense (of course this company makes its money from repairing large appliances so buyer beware). After a short personal evaluation, we thought the cost of about $350 for the timer still would be cheaper than a completely new washer and maybe the washer would last another couple of years. The repairman then replaced the timer and departed. We tried to wash a load of clothes and discovered the washer still became stuck in mid-cycle, same problem no improvement. We called the company which did send the repairman back to look at the washer. The repairman ended-up pointing to a small plastic connector that helps cause the washer to process through its cycle and used a pliers to straighten the plastic connector and said that should solve the problem! Of course he still claimed the timer had needed replacing and did not apologize for not having looked at this plastic connector in the first place. He did not charge for the second visit to straighten the plastic connector, nevertheless, this last small adjustment did not work for long and the washer basically had to be "hammered on" the lid every wash cycle to cause it to finish the cycle. We eventually tired of this approach and bought a completely new washer to replace the old one. We were very disappointed in this service from this company and do not recommend them to anyone else. Find another repair company if you can.

I really like the techinician, he did not try to sell me something that I did not need. Would recommend him to anyone!
Description of Work: The technician knew what the problem was before he arrived, so he brought the new part with him, however when I took the part out (clutch) it was rusted because the outer tub of the washer was leaking. We ended up buying a new washer just because the cost to fix our 9 year old was going to be too much. We were only charged for the service call, even though the technician had performed quite a bit of work to remove the clutch.

I was very pleased. I called and left a message. Received an almost immediate response and they came out within the next day or two. I felt their price was reasonable and they were very knowledgeable.
Description of Work: Repaired ice maker on refritgerator. Inspected washing machine and said that it would need more work than it was worth and suggested i just purchase a new one.

About a year ago we finished a kitchen remodel, so somewhat surprising that our new dishwasher had a problem. All the initial phone contat setup was great. At any rate, the technician quickly identified the problem (pump not pumping at full) and provided me with a price to fix (new pump and labor of course). More than I was expecting, but I needed the dishwasher working. So he pulls the machine out, and there is water gushing all over my new hardwood floor, which almost gave me a heart attack on the spot. He seemed completely unprepared for the water that came out of the thing, quite different from the actual GE tech that came out to repair a door problem on the thing and never spilled a single drop. At any rate, I clean up the water without apparent issue to my floor. He finishes up, leaves, and I run a full load on the thing. Still doesn't drain right. They come back, and some piece of something broke off and got in the drain line when they were installing. The followup visit was free thankfully.
Description of Work: I had a GE profile dishwasher that was not draining properly. After talking with plumbers, it was clear that the problem was not directly a drain line issue.

After years of having our Kenmore Elite appliances serviced through the Sears warranty system we finally gave up on their very poor service and found De Anza Appliance through Angie's List. Instead of multiple service calls that never resolved the problems, we now have a reliable company that can identify problems quickly, run through the least expensive fixes first, and then provide the correct part the first time if needed. The office provided a variety of convenient times for service and was willing to work further to make it easier on us. Two technicians arrived very early in the service window and were prepard to go right to work. They had a clear troubleshooting procedure and exhausted less expensive options before determining the drain pump on our dishwasher had to be replaced. I watched the troubleshooting procedure and agreed with their conclusion. Because the office had verified the model number of my dishwasher in advance, the technicians were able to provide the correct part on the first visit.
Description of Work: Technicians examined dishwasher to determine cause of drain problems. After several tests it was determined that the drain pump needed to be replaced due to overheating. Technicians had the part available, because they had verified the model number before arriving. The dishwasher now works as intended. It only took about ninety minutes and the price was excellent considering the issue was resolved promptly and correctly on the first visit.

It was a decision on whether to repair the 5-year old washer or buy a new one. Peter explained very clearly what was broken, gave an estimate on the repair and outlined the pros and cons. He ordered the parts and made an appointment to come back and do the repairs. He arrived on time, and was very efficient. The washer works perfectly now.

The technician figured out the problem quickly, dismantled the freezer door, removed all of the ice build-up, and unclogged the drain line. The work was done in less than an hour. Excellent work, and with a 90 day gurarantee.
Description of Work: Our refrigerator/freezer was leaking. Turned out to be a clogged defrost line, which had caused water to back up into the bottom of the freezer section, which then leaked when the defrost cycle came on.

Absolutely GREAT service. Technician was wonderful and explained everything to me and took care of the problem! Cost of part and labor was very reasonable (I honestly don't remember how much it cost me, but I was very pleasantly surprised!
Description of Work: Something in my freezer was causig water to leak into the freezer box and caused ice to build up to the point that the freezer drawer would not open.

The office people were very responsive and Peter, the technician, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in describing the problem and solution to me and my wife. We would use De Anza for any future appliance repairs.
Description of Work: Our refrigerator stopped working. We called De Anza and they came out right away and diagnosed the problem which was the thermostat. Two days later they brought out the part and installed it.
