With a moneymailer coupon in hand (and not first checking Angie's List), I called ChemDry Solutions Wednesday, March 28th, 2012 to talk to them about cleaning my carpet. I spoke with Jordan, the owner. I told him how many square feet of carpet I had and answered his questions. He told me the price would be the $119.80 - the 4 room price not the 3 room price, which I understood and agreed to. I made an appointment for between 2-4 PM Friday, March 30, 2012. I then moved everything off the floors in every room and vacuumed. I was ready for the appointment. I misunderstood the appointment to be from 2 PM to 4 PM, so I called Jordan at 2:15 to ask where the carpet cleaners were. He said they were nearby and would be there soon. At 3 PM, John, the cleaner called, and told me he would arrive by 4 PM. He and his helper did arrive at 4 PM. I showed him the area to be cleaned because there were two areas I wanted to point out - one where I spilled liquid soap in the walk in closet and an area in a sliding door closet where a cat had urinated. He asked about two computer wires that I was hoping I would not have to move. John said he could not clean around them. John said his equipment would not fit in the sliding door closets, I would have to use a steam cleaning service (a different company) if I wanted those clean. He said he could not clean the bit of carpet in the pantry. He reluctantly admitted he could clean the carpet in the coat closet. I told him I would rent a small hand held cleaner, myself to do the sliding door closets. Then he said the cost would be $10 more than the price Jordan had given me. We walked out to garage, where I had the coupon. I pointed out to him my coupon, at the lower rate and that Jordan had quoted me that price. He was not happy, rolled his eyes and grudgingly said he would honor the job at the price I was given. Suddenly, he changed his mind and told me he could not do the job and walked out the door. I locked my door then called the owner, Jordan, thinking he might want to know how his employee was behaving. Jordan seemed nonplussed and explained that , no, the cleaners could not clean around the computer wires. If I moved the wires and wanted them to come back I could call tomorrow. I said if I wanted them back, I would call. I did not plan to call them back. I was OK, calling my husband and figuring out how to disconnect the computer wires. I was OK with them not cleaning inside the sliding door closets, I was even OK paying the $10 extra. I am not OK with so much drama. Sadly within 30 minutes, Jordan called back and told me ChemDry Solutions could indeed clean my sliding door closet carpets but there would be an extra charge. I got off the phone quickly and have no intention of doing business with them. Not only was the interaction with John and Jordan unpleasant, I still have dirty carpets and everything up off my floor!

They used a good product that didn't leave a strong chemical smell or anything. They got rid of all the spots. They were quick, nice, and good in every respect.

It went very well.

Chem Dry Solutions answered the phone when I first called, answered all my questions satisfactorily, and were able to give expert advice about eliminating cat urine smells. In addition, they were able to schedule an appointment for within a few days. On the day of the service, the technician called me ahead of time (since I already moved out of the place where the work took place), was very prompt in arrival time, evaluated the situation, and sprayed the areas that he found and/or suspected needed treating. The treatment was a great success (all the cat urine smells were eliminated).

I have used ChemDry Solutions in Santa Clara for many years for regular carpet cleaning. I have always been very pleased with them and the work they perform. A few weeks ago, an accidental cut caused a trail of blood droplets across our 4 year old off-white carpet in our bedroom. We did not see them right away, so consequently didn't treat them when they were still moist and somewhat easier to remove. I called Chem Dry and they came out one day and the technician spent about 1 1/2 hours working on the stains. He was disappointed in the result -- as was I. Not long after he left, the manager called me and said they'd like to try another method. The Tech came again and spent 2 hours -- doing hand work only -- to work on the stains. I am very pleased to say that they are gone! He did an excellent job. A word of caution -- if you have a situation with a stain like this -- it is best to call a professional to deal with it rather than do it yourself. I used a product that I use for small spots and feel I probably did more to set the stain than get rid of it. I also called the company that I purchased the carpet from and they also recommended Chem Dry.

I was very pleased. The dining room had some wear and they made it look better than the last service provider. I was especially pleased with how fast it dried. The whole experience was really great.

When I called I was informed about the price and scheduled for two days later. The person came on time, asked if there were any areas he needed to pay more attention to and did and extremely thorough job, taking the time he needed to complete it, all being courteous and professional.

They did an extremely good job. What I like about them is that they use a chemical extraction & the carpet dries fast. They are professional & really got my carpet clean. I've used them before & I'll use them again. I would highly recommend them.

The first time they did a real good job. The second time I used them they didn't do as good. I'd give them an A the first time and B the second time. But the guy who did it the second time isn't there anymore, so I'm calling them again.
