We were looking to remodel our kitchen or bath for a few years. We kept getting estimates from different companies and always felt the price was off or the person was not a good fit. Then, finally, we met Shai with Cal Green Remodeling. What a great guy! He is very upfront and honest about what we can expect in terms of cost and work flow. Because of his honest approach, we hired him. We felt he gave us the good and bad and how to resolve the bad as well. In the end, the process was fairly smooth, and the few hick-ups we had, for example, the city and their permit process, were well explained to us at the beginning, so we were ready. We needed a new kitchen, since ours was seriously out dated. We have some ideas of what we wanted, but was hoping for some professional input. We hired Eli with Cal Green to do the job and had hoped we made the right decision. In the end we did. Eli was very knowledgeable, patient, and caring. He made the process go very smoothly and handled all the permits and dealings with the city, which was a relief for us. We just completed our 3 bedrooms and three bathrooms full remodeling project at our house. We are very pleased with how the results came out. Shay had awesome ideas and he did a stunning job, much more beyond our expectations! After the kitchen project was completed… we decided to have him continue and to also remodel our two bathrooms, some structural changes to the ceiling and installing new roof, raising the ceiling (in 12”) at the entry, completely modernizing our living room by opening walls, removing old flooring, removing old rock fireplace and replacing with modern, classic tile. Exquisite. We developed a trusting relationship with Shay and his team of workers and craftsmen. They helped us with design ideas and helped us stay within our budgets, and were honest when they felt they could not accommodate. They gained our trust and respect. Shay was the project manager and he was absolutely amazing person, very helpful and pleasant, answered all of our questions and was able to save us some money with his valuable advises. As a Realtor my responsibility is to my clients. When my sellers wanted to do improvements to their investment property in preparation for Sale we chose Cal Green remodeling for the job they were AMAZING! they took all the headache out of the renovation they acquired the permits, offered insight to the design and materials and even when we hit budget snag they were able to accommodate Shay and his team were super professional and skilled. The property sold before ever hitting the market while under construction and was over our target price all cash 7 day close. Everybody was happy. Will definitely call on them when I have another project. And so should you.

We hired Shay to correctly vault our home’s ceilings after they were unsafely vaulted years earlier by a licensed general contractor. Shay, their construction manager, gave us a typed, 17 page contract on the SAME DAY that he came to give us an estimate (!) The contract was highly specific, with detailed scope of work, and contained many protections for the homeowner, several which we referred to during the project. Their bid wasn’t the lowest, nor was it the highest — two came in at double and triple Shay’s estimate, one at 30% less. We were inspired by Shay’s rapidly produced and detailed contract — along with the excellent references that they gave us — to go with them, and we’re very glad that we did. They started a month AHEAD of schedule, and had reasonable progress payments as the project continued. Every step of the way their work was on time and professional, and their change orders were always necessary and reasonable. They followed the architectural and structural plans in great detail, worked well with our structural engineer, and in several instances saved us from having to rip out parts of our floor and a kitchen window through their effective negotiations with the planning office. All building inspections were passed with no difficulties, and the site was cleaned up immaculately upon completion of the project.
