The Electrician

Called to make an appt to install two ceiling fans. George called me right back and mentioned he was booked for the next three weeks. Will try to use his services again. I appreciated the prompt return call and his honesty regarding his schedule.

George is one of the best. His work is top notch, tidy, professional and simply a great experience. I most definitely will use him again. He communicates well, is on time, and certainly knows his business. Thank you George you give me faith that good, sound practical service is still available!!

First class service. George really knows his stuff and performed the job just as promised. In addition to upgrading our breaker box to a modern type he also fixed a host of issues done poorly by others. His work was clean and the city inspector said the work was done very nicely. George also took care of all the permits with the city and his follow through was great. Very happy and would use again for sure.

George and his wife work as team. They were professional and did the work for the price agreed upon for the fan. George did a great job on the installation of the fan so I asked him if he could install 7 replacement smoke detectors, which he and his wife did within 1 hour. I thought the work done was very good and I would not hesitate to hire him for other projects. I also enjoyed George's sense of humor.

This installation was on a 4X4 beam at the apex of a sixteen foot vaulted ceiling in a master bedroom that had no attic. It required George to make several trips into the attic of the adjacent room to tap into a power source and then bring a cable and conduit through a hole he made in the bedroom wall next to the beam. He then assembled and installed the 56" ceiling fan using more and larger screws than required and supplied by the manufacturer. George said that more and stronger screws would better support the weight of this large fan. In all, the entire process took about three hours and he left the work site cleaner than it was before he started the job. I couldn't have asked for a better job, or a nicer person to have done it. George was genuinely concerned with getting the job done right.

George returned my call the same day, and fit me in two days after my initial call. What I thought might be a huge project turned out to be a non-issue, and he solved the intermittent shower light issue in 10 minutes. I paid the minimum charge of one hour ($75), and he was on his way. Will definitely hire in the future!

I rewired all the receptacles in my house. But not being an electrician I left anything I wasn't comfortable with for an electrician to take a look at. Enter George. George fit me in within 2 days, and stayed until the job was done. I threw a bunch at him, and he fixed everything necessary. He went through and found where a neutral wire was disconnected in a particularly confusing circuit. And on top of it all, he was patient and willing to teach me about what he was doing, which only helped me understand my wiring. I'll use him again.

George did an awesome job. He asked me questions when options came up during the install and I really appreciated that. I also think George's price is very fair. Here's another A review to add to the list!

First visit he was very efficient and cost effective. Second visit was the same. Very neat and tidy. Professional and was able to explain jobs in layman terms. Very nice, honest man. Will definitely call him out for future jobs!!

Didn't install entry light. Offered directions but didn't look at them. Said there was no ground wire but there was. Took his time on everything. Went to the car and to the bathroom numerous times. He likes to talk so be careful since he charges by the hour. Finished at 2:38pm and charged until 3pm. He put a lump sum for parts and didn't itemize them so I'm not sure if he overcharged.

The broken light fixture was 15 years old and had developed a leak into the housing for the Malibu light. The electrical power source entered the submersed waterfall floor via an underground electrical cord, protruding through a rock and concrete base. The metal nut through which the cord entered the waterfall was heavily rusted and may not have even been removable without significant demolition to the surrounding rock/concrete floor. George ("The Electrician") devised a creative solution to replace the old light fixture with a new fixture (which I provided), without having to remove the rusted nut and without having to demolish any of the surrounding rock/concrete floor. The job was completed in less than 1 hour and the cost was very fair. George arrived 40 minutes ahead of schedule (in the early morning) to accomodate me before I needed to leave home for work and I found him to be an extremely friendly gentleman, possessing a work ethic which is becoming harder and harder to find. I definitiely will recommend George "The Electrician" to my friends, neighbors and business associates and I will definitely call George the next time that I need to have electrical services performed.

George worked me into his schedule and showed up early. Nice, very pleasant to work with. I was concerned about the amount of support for the fan, and he showed me how what was there was more than strong enough. I installed the fan did the wiring and even showed me how the remote worked. Done in about an hour. Overall, he was very reasonable, punctual and professional. I would definitely use him the next time I am in need of an electrician. Highly recommended.

George, the owner, was very professional, responsive and thorough. He was able to troubleshoot and repair three electrical problems the same day. I would not hesitate to recommend George.

I wanted extra lighting in the sitting room of my bedroom and had purchased some beautiful wall sconces some time ago. Problem was, the location of lights would be an easily accessible area but putting a switch in would be difficult as there's not an easy or convenient spot and thus extensive to install. George was the first electrician to give me the option of installing touch activated lights. They work wonderfully. No extra switches which means no extra holes in the wall and easy to use! This is the second time he's been to my house. The first was to install a 240 V outlet plug in my garage to charge my electric car. Again, wonderful job. Professional, quality, cleans up afterwards....plus he's an honest, kind man. I'll definitely call him for ALL my future electrical needs! Just an fyi, before George I've used other electricians. They have worked painfully slow, seemingly unknowledgeable, one didn't even install my light fixture straight!!!! Glad I found a great, trustworthy electrician in George.

I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The Electrician was very professional, and always on time, early even (which I prefer). Even the city inspector was impressed with how perfectly the job was done.

Mr. McCutcheon came early, diagnosed the problem with the dryer, proceeded to fix the the problem by replacing the breaker and then fixed a problem with a wall outlet that caused the ceiling fan not to work. All the while meticulously explaining everything that needed to be done and why. The explanations were greatly appreciated.

George, The Electrician was very professional, knowledgeable, and willing to work with you. With him, you get personal service, which is rare these days. He has a great attitude about his work and life. We very much enjoyed working with George on our kitchen project. His prices are a bit on the higher side, but you get quality work so we didn't mind paying for it. He is diligent about getting his work done in time, and he was open enough to show us a few tricks of the trade, since we are in the process of remodeling our whole house. We got to meet his lovely wife, Linda, on George's last day working with us. She is wonderful and helpful for George. We hired George 2 years ago, and every year we still get a Christmas card from him and his wife. It's a very personable gesture that we appreciate. We highly recommend George, The Electrician, for his quality work, punctuality, and personal service.

George arrived promptly and performed the work quickly. He even drove us to the hardware store so we could make the choice on the new switch to install. George also offered to do other work since he completed the job before the end of the hour, now that's service!

George checked my attic wiring and outlets. He told me I had nothing to worry about and said, "I guess I talked myself out of a job". How many people do you find like that now a days? I 'll probably need to have my electrical panel upgraded when I do a kitchen remodel so he will be the guy I get the first bid from.
