The Electrician

Made an appointment on Thursday for Saturday at 2. George called around 9:30 and said he was in the area and could he come by early. Came around 10 and gave me an estimate of $175. Didn't have his equipment with him but went and got his truck and returned in about an hour. Installed the outlet in less than an hour. Very professional, quick and inexpensive. Was polite and cleaned up after the job was finished. Will be calling him again to install a ceiling fan.

Great. Showed up on time, finished job in under 1 hour. Very nice gentleman, very knowledgeable.

Although our first appointment ended in a bit of a miscommunication (which was not one persons fault), after rescheduling, George was very helpful from the start. I called him out for a quote, and decided that he should go ahead with the work given that his estimate was reasonable and the reviews on this site have showed that he is an honest and capable worker. He started planning the steps immediately and was very communicative to make sure that things were done exactly how I wanted. He even had a few suggestions about mounting an additional light and did the extra work for no extra charge. His time and money estimations were spot on and the quality of the work was excellent; he patched the drywall and cleaned up the mess after finishing the job. I've never had such a smooth experience with a contractor ever - you can bet I will be calling George again.

George came out on the same day I called him and was punctual. He is very friendly and down to earth. He assessed the situation and declared that I needed to replace a breaker. He installed it and returned the next day to clean the bussbar thoroughly. What I liked about George was that he was very accomodating and his prices are fair and reasonable. I will definitely call George again and refer him to my friends. Thank you George for a job well-done!

George's reputation preceeds him, and I found that his good reviews are true. He was punctual, friendly, quite competent, and thorough. I am happy to know that I have found a reliable and honest electrician, and I would be calling him for any further electrical works in the future. (I just cannot help but comment that one of the prior reviewers would complain about an electrician showing up TOO early for an appointment. Amazing!)

The service was excellent! We discovered that a part of our house had intermittent electric service, power was going in and out, resetting our electronic equipments. Called George on Sunday morning, he fit us in that same morning! The problem was diagnosed and repaired within 1 hour, turned out a bad cirbuit breaker was the culprit, George had to spend some time finding the bad circuit because whoever set up the panel did not label them correctly. I felt we were charged very reasonably.

Bothered me that he showed up much earlier than than agreed time, when only my son was home. Checked different outlets around the house, talked a lot. Checked electrical supply at the source and determined that was the problem. Took 3 hours - a long time to diagnose the problem, which many electricians might have much quicker. Did not offer Angie's discount, even though I mentioned I had gotten the referral from Angies list.

George was responsive and fit me into his schedule the next morning--a Saturday! He was punctual, professional and a pleasure to work with. I will definitely call him again for any electrical work that I need done. His price was very fair; I am sure that others may have charged more for the same service.

George was professional in his service at all times. He was familiar of all the code requirements and could put into layman's terms what he felt he had to do. His price for 3 hours of work was very competitive.

He was great to work with. He was willing to take a look at some of the other work that we were looking into having done. The price was good for the work that he came out to do. He was a few minutes late, however he called and let me know beforehand that he was running a little bit behind.

I chose George (The Electrician) based on the glowing reviews on Angie's List, and the service was fantastic. He was out the next day and punctual (in fact, he was about 15 minutes early).. All bad wiring was remedied (with extra, personal touches that showed a clear concern for the customer-- ie: when repairing the open neutral situation that had two of my kitchen outlets down for the count, George pigtailed them so in case they ever fail again, just the single outlet will be affected. It's like Christmas Lights-- The old style where one light burns out and it takes out the whole strand, and the better version, where if one light burns out only that light is out..) .. The light in the garage was relocated to my satisfaction.. The ceiling fan was figured out (failure of the remote control unit.. A common problem with this model of Hunter fan, or so a Google search suggested..).. All in all, everything I could think of was skillfully taken care of by George. With 39 years of experience, George is definitely a rare breed-- He doesn't cut corners, he's honest and up front about how a job will go (ie: running Cat-6 network cable, although doable, was going to be pretty major surgery for my walls and would not have been a good return on investment), and he knows all the tricks of the trade. Again, I can't stress enough how much George cares about the customer and their home. As a total bonus, George has a great deal of materials in his truck (ie: the GFI outlets, EMT tubing for the light, etc) and he is very competitive on the pricing. (IE: the prices were spot on for the GFI outlets..).. It was a refreshing experience, after having paid the plumber $185 for a kitchen faucet that's readily available at Home Depot for $109... My experience with George was so genuine and positive that my parents are going to use him as well. And, I will freely recommend George for any friend or acquaintance in need of an electrician. I wish more home ownership experiences went this well! One thing to remember, though-- George does not take credit cards.. It's one thing I've taken for granted while fixing up my home (hey, those American Express cashback rebates are adding up with this home buying experience), but I don't mind paying cash-- I imagine it helps keep George's rates exceptionally reasonable. (Honestly, for the amount of work he did and the hours he was at my house, I felt like I got a great bargain.. Again, if only more home-related expenses were this nice..)

George arrived early and ready to work. He listened attentively and quoted a very fair price. After completing all the work, he adjusted his quote downward because he didn't feel he had taken as much time as he was allowing originally. Such honesty is rare nowadays, but one has the feeling from dealing with George that he will always do the right thing. He inspires confidence that, when you choose him for your electrical work, he will do an excellent job at a fair price. It was a genuine pleasure meeting George and having him do our work.

Everything went very smoothly. He arrived early for the estimate and was also early on the work day. He was very professional and answered all of my questions.

Very easy. Showed up on time, did exactly what we wanted done for a flat hourly rate. Relocated the outlet and repaired the electrical to the garbage disposal.

The Electrician has very fair prices. He is always punctual and does excellent quality work. He is very good about cleaning up after himself. George is a very polite, hard working and congenial gentleman. He is an A+ rating as far as I am concerned.

I looked on Angie's list for a second estimate for an electrical problem. George was out within the hour. He took 20 minutes to find the problem and replace the faulty circuit. He replaced the circuit with a different one to eleviate any future problems. The Price was much much cheaper. Very friendly.

Our experience with The Electrician was excellent. Very complicatted job but completed within the dollar range we expected.

This is one of those fantastic experiences you wish you had with all contractors. George showed up on time, explained clearly why I needed a sub panel rather than upgrading to a 400 amp service which would have cost $5000 and was being recommended. I asked him to also give me a price on replacing light fixtures that were not adaquate. He went away and a couple of days later advised that he had researched both the light fixture and panel situations, proposing perfect solutions. He showed up as promised on teh designated day to do the work and got it done. He was a pleasure to talk to, explaining exactly what he had done and was also very neat, tidy and respectful of our property. I am an extremely happy customer....This guy deserves your business.

Overall, it was an excellent experience. When I called George, he was able to come out first thing the next morning. He was prompt, professional, and efficient, although he didn't rush the job. He was easy to work with and made sure that everything was working properly before he left. He especially tested the outdoor lights extensively and made sure I knew how to change the options on the motion sensor if I need to in the future. I thought his rates were reasonable, considering that he worked for 3 hours.

I had tried to reconnect the low voltage switches myself so we could use the washer and dryer. When I encountered difficulties, I took a cell phone picture of the wiring and sought help from Home Depot. Despite the fact I had a pictorial image, their suggestions did not solve the problem and I incurred an unnecessary expense in purchasing equipment that turned out to be useless. We then contacted "The Electrician" (George) primarily relying on the impressive recommendations of other homeowners. George was everything we could have possibly hoped he would be. His recognition of the problems were instantaneous and he dealt with the connection issues with cool efficiency. We were so impressed we had him perform the other tasks described above. He was equally quick in recognizing what needed to be done and performed his tasks with similar efficiency.

Showed up on time as agreed, quoted a fair price. Showed up the following day and performed repairs as agreed and price came in lower than quote since work was less than anticipated. I would recommend The Electrician and will use him again if the need arises. Great experience - very knowledgable!

Firstly, he came all the way out to us from Corona where he was house hunting. Secondly, he was a VERY personable man (he even let me know my cat had escaped the house.....my fault not his). After crawling around in the attic and looking inside the hood, he quickly determined it was a loose connection....and that was all. Since I know nothing about electrical, he could have easily claimed it was something else and charged me a fortune. I could say the same about the outlet out front. It was an easy replacement of one part. He charged me honestly, he was honest about the problems, friendly, professional and definitely knows his stuff. I can't recommend him enough

He arrived on time for estimate and for the job. When the job became more complex. he came back to complete it (and held to original estimate) even though he came back on Sunday. He patched up walls where we had to cut access holes and was extremely scrupulous about neatness, even volunteering to vacuum up plaster dust.

He identified the problem quickly and fixed.
